Had an absolutely fantastic time! Wow. I Ended up ordering a variety of croissants from their available menu: this included the almond chocolate and traditional butter. I Also sprung for the cinnamon roll and ham and Swiss quiche to mix things up a bit. We washed it down with lemon citron lemonade and hot lattes and man of man it was flavorful and it was all super delicious. We were helped by Rabie who was super engaging and made sure the food was great. He took time to stop by and check on my family and guests to see that our experience was going great. The nice very friendly woman who gets together things and rings you up reminds of my favorite cousin. I was doing some banking next door when I discovered this delightful French bakery. This chain of five South Florida bakeries was founded in 2015. This location on Federal Highway in Galt Ocean Mile, in Ft. Lauderdale opened in 2019. They have plenty of inside seating and a covered patio which is where we sat to enjoy the beautiful weather. Nanou Ocean's menu features coffee drinks hot or cold, breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, classic sandwiches, salads, and fresh made crepes. I ordered the Paris breakfast which is a 16oz fresh squeezed orange juice, a 12oz coffee, and half a baguette with butter and fig jam. I tried calling a couple times to verify if the restaurant had a gluten free bread option for the avocado toast, but no one answered. I decided to drive to the restaurant anyways and I'm glad I did. While they do not offer a gluten free bread option(pls consider this in the future :) , they do have a create your own omelette option that can cater to a dairy free gluten free lifestyle. I've been to their Las Olas location numerous times but this is like my second time to this one. I needed somewhere that was kinda quite to do some work on my laptop. I know it's had outlets and wifi because it used to be a Starbucks. The woman at the register who helped was nice. I ended up with an almond croissant and a chai latte. I didn't like the chai latte. So I asked to get something else made ( I got a matcha). I offered to pay the difference and the person said no problem. I like the matcha better. The croissant was awesome as usual. Like I wanted another one but I said no to myself but the temptation was strong... If you are not into sweets they do have actual food on the menu but I have not tried that at either location. If you need a quiet (not slow as in business but noise level), I recommend coming here. The staff was friendly as well. read more
