Great Nitro Cold Brew for the Sunday AM
    Eric D.

Updating a review here. I've visited this cafe over 5 years ago around the time they recently opened and recently started again with my morning coffee run. I'm glad this place opens early--I tried visiting some other places around town and they just don't cut it. I'm a nitro cold brew fanatic and this place hits the spot. They have Toastlabs loyalty offering for those who are loyal. Great brew. And thanks for the early AM openings. Cheers

Brew On The Grid in Worcester, MA

Very nice coffee shop in downtown Worcester with some smaller tables and a few larger "community" tables. They have a full range of hot and cold coffees, plus a smaller selection of pastries. I chose a double espresso which was very strong and very rich. No grounds in the bottom. It was great. Bagel was good. Toasted with a small pot of cream cheese. Nothing special, but I wasn't ordering anything special. It was a bagel. I didn't check to see if they have a wifi here but I did see power outlets and certainly they didn't mind us hanging out here for a little while. A good spot for getting work done.

Adding this to my Worcester daily routine list when I am visiting. Really good service. Plenty of space to park, work, and relax. Music was perfect style and volume for a coffee shop. Coffee was good. Banana peanut butter smoothie was the clincher for me.

Perfect place to grab a bite and get some work done. I can't believe how productive I actually was and I think a lot of it came from the chill atmosphere. There is a good amount of seating (tables, stools, armchairs) with electrical outlets nearby and windows all around, perfect for people-watching. Wifi is free, coffee was strong, and food was delicious, so there's really not much else to ask for. I had the Turkey & Smoked Cheddar sandwhich which the barista kindly recommended, and it was delcious. Yes, it looks like a burger but that is only a positive in my book.

Iced chai & bacon, egg, cheese on everything bagel

The drinks were delicious, and the breakfast sandwich was huge! Really great atmosphere, plenty of seating, free wifi. They do not have a print menu (for Blind/low vision folks), which is a minus. Definitely will be coming back!

Cappucino, cinnamon scone, and decaf vanilla iced :)

My bf and I decided that we wanted to look to see if there were any coffee shops in the Worcester area that are new, surprisingly Brew On The Grid made it on that list! He enjoyed a cappucino (he said it was the best cappucino he's ever had!) Kudos to the barista for being awesome. I enjoyed a decaf iced coffee with vanilla (also really good with half & half!) The cinnamon scone was AMAZING! It was so moist and NOT dried out like everywhere else. However, we did look at the online menu and saw that they had a bunch of pastries listed, but were not present/available when we went. It would be nice if they updated the menus online, so future customers are aware! Will definitely come back again!!

I have no idea how I just recently discovered this place, super cute place with a science looking interior. I assume the theme was picked since it's located right next to MCPHS, school of science majors to attract those students as well as those office workers nearby! I essentially just got a black nitro brew coffee, nothing out of the ordinary but definitely kept me up all night for my overnight! Honestly coffee isn't disappointing and a quiet work environment at best, I'd be willing to come here to study if I could just for the attractive atmosphere and coffee.

    Bacon Bacon, Egg and Cheese

If you are looking for a homey unique delish breakfast experience this place is not it. The bacon egg and cheese everything bagel sandwich was very reminiscent of Dunkin' Donuts. Pre made circular egg patties, thin fatty bacon strips, and a microwaved bagel, not toasted are what you can expect. The chocolate croissant was stale, tough and inedible, similar to what you'd expect at an airport vendor and had to be thrown out.

Bottom line: I really liked the coffee and scone. Good coffee is hard to find and thus they get 5 stars.

My fiancé and I had been having a lot of trouble finding a venue that could host our crowd at a reasonable price, so we were beyond thrilled when Birchtree not only accommodated our 60 guests beautifully, but we actually ended up under budget. From start to finish, the service was phenomenal. The team was genuinely invested in making sure our night was perfect. They went above and beyond in every way and more than accommodated anything we needed. We had an outpouring of texts the next day from our guests. So many people let us know how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful of a time they had. The space itself truly showed a refined elegance which was the perfect kickoff to our wedding season. If you're thinking about working with BirchTree, Jayne, Caitlin, and the entire staff we're incredibly organized and attentive to detail, helping us set up, pack up, and even ensured all guests had clean tables, fresh drinks, and the bar staff recommended really unique cocktails & mocktails! We are so grateful to the entire BirchTree team, especially Jayne and Caitlin for helping us set the tone for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend having an event here - you will be in the best hands!

Cool higher end culinary items for purchase and some other weird but welcome items like handmade soap! Good community posting board! Chill vibes and surly baristas that make you feel like you're in a bigger city! What I don't love: there are never signs telling what the baked items are, so you literally have to ask one by one at every visit- as does every single person in line. It makes me feel guilty for the people behind me and I often rush before fully exploring my options. This is made worse when I bring my small indecisive child, so I go elsewhere when I have him with me. Also- 90% of the time that I have asked, the attending barista isn't certain what the baked items are and says something like "I think that one is an apricot and cheese danish. Or cheese and some fruit. I'm not positive." At Crust's prices, I'd like to know what I'm buying and I would appreciate time to make a decision. Why won't you tell us what your yummy pastries are?? Lastly- the automatic tipping options are so high (this is coming from someone who never tips below 20%) that it makes me wonder if you're paying your employees appropriately, or expecting tips to make up the difference. If you were to change one thing and one thing only from this feedback, PLEASE consider labeling your baked goods! I truly cannot think of a good reason why not to.
