Round three of the Rock Hill Trifecta Weekend.. So you have a place with a GREAT beer selection, right off the highway AND they serve coffee?!?! YES. Came here for a flight, great service, nice ambiance. Came back the next morning for breakfast, pretty good. My Avocado Tomato and Cheese omelette was tasty, but a tad greasy. I was hungover from a night of beer, grappa, sake, & rye Manhattans, I wanted a nice latte.. The espresso machine was broken. HOW?!?! I don't own a business, so I don't know how long it would take to fix a machine or even how much it would cost. But if you are a coffee shop and most of the coffee menu has espresso in it one way or the other, you should have espresso. plain and simple... Of course I'll be back, shut up guys. read more

I came with a large group of people, we were drinking, eating, playing games; the bartender was nice but before we started anything, we told the waitress Lu that our bills would be separate, but as soon as we asked for our checks she handed us one receipt with all of our bills on it. After we spilt it up amongst ourselves we asked her to print out the receipts separately again but she messed up most of the orders even after we wrote it out for her and even included her own gratuity, which wasn't included on any previous receipts I had purchased alone that night before the entire group came. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. At this time, we only had some appetizers. We ordered waffle cheese fries, mozzarella triangles and sweet potato fries. All were hot, crispy and fresh. Perfect amount of cheese on the fries. Had a strawberry shake with whipped cream and was happy to see them using paper straws. The shake was a yummy treat, thought it could of been a tad less expensive tho... $6 seemed a bit high. read more

I'm giving a 2 stars because we stopped here many of times on the way up to deposit, food was always good, bar food nothing extraordinary. We got here when they opened on a Thursday the bathroom was absolutely disgusting! I wouldn't even let my kids go to the bathroom. Will never go back. read more

So my burger was $13.00. Regular sized patty, nothing special as far as its side, it had two pieces of bacon on it, and that cheap yellow nacho cheese sauce and no it did not come with any french fries, or a pickle. I INHALED the burger at this place. Found it by happy accident, looking for a coffee on my 9 hour drive from Connecticut to Toronto. Decided a beer would serve me better and realized I was starving! Service was awesome, bartender was so friendly and the food was unreal. Also ready super fast! Easy on/off the highway. Loved everything about it except the women's bathroom. That was NASTY. What a gem! We were driving from New Haven to Ithaca in extremely icy, snowy weather, and we needed to stop somewhere with quality food. The place has decent pub ambience, a tasty beer selection--I got a local, unfiltered IPA called "Irrestistible" which was exactly that--and I can recommend anything from the menu. Just finished a spectacular meal at Brew- hubby ordered Caesar Salad, I had the Crunchy Chicken salad and we got a classic chicken sandwich and onion rings to share. Everything was sooo good- large and fresh salads (on a Sunday night, too) the chicken was like eating crunchy air, huge slices of freshly shaved Parmesan on the Caesar not the shaky stuff from a can. One of my favorite places for a good quick meal. Customer service is excellent, food is great, reasonably priced, and the facility is clean as could be. Good to see familiar faces working each time I go. I just can't figure out why they would keep the regular thousand Island dressing in the basement and not in the kitchen. It's an ongoing joke between the cook , wait staff and myself. Everytime I walk in, they know ahead to get my dressing. I highly recommend when you are in the area. Keep up the good work. read more

My fiance and I, went to Brew last Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised at this new offering in Sullivan county. I ordered the cubano sandwhich with a pint of Victory Summer Love. My fiance had the Angry Orchard cider and a vegetarian grilled sandwhich. Everything was top notch and the prices were fair for what was served. In addition, there is a fairly large mix your own six pack section, which does seem a little pricey, but its still better than buying a six pack of something to find out that its not your flavor. In closing, I would recommend Brew to anyone who has a taste for good food and beer. read more

I just had the best damn grilled cheese EVER!! It was called a figgy apple and was recommended to me by the bartender. I will no longer make plain old grilled cheese anymore. Watch me dazzle guest with this version of a grilled cheese! I also ordered Carolina BBQ wings and they were also awesome. The sauce was what I think of when I think of Carolina BBQ sauce. I have had many different versions but this version was spot on. The place was cool. Nice bar area, seats about 8 or so and the dining area was comfortable. I got my order to go so I only spoke with the bartender for a short while but I could tell she was nice. Back to that figgy apple, man that was so good. I've never liked figs and Swiss is my most disliked cheese but they mixed it with Brie cheese and thin slices of apples and panini grilled it. OMG!! read more

What a great addition to the area! Went in with two families with six total kids. Adults and kids all found a new favorite place! Nice beer selection, including local brews. And great food all around -- juicy, tasty burgers, some awesome wings with interesting sauce choices from traditional to quirky (big meaty wings cooked to perfection), great grilled cheese, great homemade mozzarella wedges -- every kid and big kid loved the food. And it was a great atmosphere too with comfy seating, friendly staff/owners, and lots of board games to borrow to occupy kids and adults. Will definitely be back! read more

4 stars strictly based on the quality of food, especially breakfast. However, there are continuing customer service issues that make visiting Brew very frustrating. They need better management and a larger staff. When you arrive, it is not clear if Brew is a full service sit down establishment with wait service, or if you must order at the counter. It seems to be a strange combination of both. A simple sign directing customers to be seated would solve this problem. After placing your order there is inevitably a long wait for the food to arrive, if it ever does. Often the staff has to be reminded, as it seems they fill orders in random sequence. Many times the details of the order are wrong. This is all very perplexing because they have a modern point-of-sale system. They also refuse to offer refills on coffee, despite the fact that we typically wait 30 minutes for our order. As a local resident I really want to see this place succeed, but at this rate, I doubt they will survive the winter. Brew is a nice concept and has great potential, but they need to find a manager who can effectively run it. read more

Great local spot, I have gone here a few times on the weekends and always have a great time. They seem to have live music Friday and Saturday evening which is really great while hanging out with friends. They have a great beer selection including local brews and have some awesome burger choices. Really great wings too! Definitely would recommend this place! read more

I've passed by Brew every weekend the last 2 summers, but finally stopped in today after closing up my lake house. I can't believe I've never stopped in before. It has everything I love.....beer and burgers! I had the burger bowl, my husband had the balsamic fried chicken sandwich, and we ordered the cheese and bacon waffle fries for the table. If I based the review solely on my burger bowl I would only have given Brew 2 stars. It left much to be desired. The burger patty was over cooked and under seasoned, the blue cheese dressing seemed cheap and store bought, and the greens were past their prime. The cheese and bacon waffle fries were also nothing to write home about. They did give you a large portion, and they didn't skimp on the cheese, but I think we found a total of 6 bacon bits, the cheese was cold, and they just were not that good. We left most of them behind. The fried chicken sandwich on the other hand saved the day. The chicken was fresh, well seasoned, fried to perfection, and still tender. I almost felt guilty eating half of my husbands sandwich, but that's what marriage is all about. The service was also excellent. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm a slow eater and he was accommodating and made sure to check up on us often. I will be back because the atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful. Maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. read more

Some of the best wings I've ever had and love that they have a lot of flavors to choose from. The waffle fries are also crispy and good. I tried the garlic parm fries. YUM. I've also ordered food to pick up and the wings still were crispy and delicious when they got home. The burgers were good but not great but the wings will keep me coming. I love this little place. My boyfriend and I stopped in here for lunch after backpacking in the Catskills. What a great find! Great location, just off 17. Decor is fantastic, rustic and relaxed. Boyfriend had a burger special, double pattie, pepper jack bacon, jalapeño relish. Great flavor, not greasy, juicy and well cooked. On a potato roll. Split a basket of super crispy waffle fries to fill us up plenty and not walk away feeling greasy. I had a veggie burger (super thick party) California option. I would recommend cheese or a relish to flavor it up a bit. We will be back! read more

What an absolute gem! Excellent beer selection both on tap for pints or growlers, and by bottles. AND, the menu looks very enticing, and reasonable priced - especially considering they are using Hudson Valley grass-fed beef for their burgers. I had a bacon cheeseburger on an everything bagel, and it was pretty amazing! On the expensive side, yes, but what a great business model, bagels and superb coffees in the morning next to a fine offering of microbrews for when you want something a bit different! This place must rock when the sun goes down.. Air conditioned comfort for the summer, and a central fireplace for when the mercury drops. I think we are going to have to check them out later in our trip. P.S. The bagel I had was definitely on par with NYC's finest! Their motto: "A schmeer with a beer" brilliant!!! read more

Okay so when your away on business it sucks. Your missing your home your friends and family. After a long hard day of non-stop work. I decided to stop by this place. I have to say I love the vibe. The decor is awesome feels edgy and yet homey hard to explain. The staff is super friendly and the food is awesome. I read that someone said burgers were small. Well anyone that knows me knows I eat. So I ordered the farmhouse burger. And yes it's small, but it's the quality of the food that matters. It was a good ass burger!! I had cheese fires with and some Mango Habanero wings and I was good. I love find places like this cause they stand out and create a different atmosphere than we are all used to. I will definitely come back when in the area. Sadly they aren't close to me at all but if and when I return up here. You'll find my fat ass sitting at the bar eating! It definitely worth checking and the place is different. Big beer selection, really cute inside too. I got a bag of the dark chocolate raspberry coffee to take home and try. My god. It is so damn good. It has the perfect amount of raspberry taste. Not overwhelming at all. Their breakfast inlets are also good. Definitely has the home made meal feel not ready to pour eggs. read more
