I been eyeing this coffee shop for about 2 months now. The sign kept catching my eye, "the best coffee in Clark county." I really enjoyed my coffee. The service was excellent and the person was friendly! I didn't know what to get and it was my first time. I told the girl this and, she then asked "sweet or no sweet," and I said sweet, of course. She recommended me the white cow mocha. It was really good! She did let me know that an extra espresso shot was free (I'm unsure if that happens every time) and I said yess. I've been a customer for years. Weak or watery coffee was rare in the past. But in the past few years it's more common than I'd like. I even returned 1 and my replacement was just as bad as the 1st. No coffee flavor, watery even. I never went back. I told the maker of my coffee to her face in a nice way. She came off as tho it was my issue not the coffee that she made. I get much better quality at the lil drive thru brewed awakenings hut on highway 99 in hazel dell. It's outta my way but WORTH IT! Let me start out by saying that I absolutely despise coffee in all ways, shapes, and forms. How then, does a coffee shop earn five stars? The reasons are many: 1. There is a marked crosswalk from the business right to the sidewalk, making it very easy and safe for pedestrians to visit 2. The service is absolutely unbeatable! Everybody I've had the pleasure of dealing with there has invariably been exuberantly friendly, professional, and enthusiastic 3. The shop is absolutely spotless! I've scarcely seen any business that is this clean 4. There is plenty of outdoor seating 5. They offer LOTS more than just coffee! Pastries, muffins, coffee cakes, quick breads are all hugely portioned, fresh, and delicious. Their fruit smoothies are amazing (definitely smoothies and not "chunkies" as other places offer). I stopped in on a whim during one of my daily walks, and was SERIOUSLY impressed! I've been back a few more times since, and the employees there already seem to know me (the last visit, one asked me how my walk was going). I am seriously impressed, and love visiting here. Visiting has become my regular Sunday splurge. read more

Brewed Awakenings Coffee Roasters is such a small and cozy place to come and grab a quick breakfast and coffee! They even have a drive through! I'm all for supporting locate business, so I had to check it out! I came around noon and it wasn't too busy inside and they had a lot of breakfast choices from breakfast burritos, burrito bowls, bagels, pastries and breakfast sandwich. I ended up getting the breakfast sandwich and there's over 6 different sandwiches to choose from. I got the sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese. They brought it to my table and came out really hot and the cheese was oozing when I bit into it! It looked small but it was the right amount and made me full! I thought it was good, but just average to me. Don't get me started on the drink menu. They have so many ways they can make it your coffee to espresso, espresso w/ chocolate, cream, steamed milk, iced coffee or hot. If your not a coffee person there's hot chocolate, chai tea, hot tea, and cider! I ended up getting hot tea and it was okay. They are reasonably priced and I will be back to try out their coffee which is what they are known for. read more

Okay, here's the thing. I really like supporting the mom and pop little coffee stands/shops. I'd rather go to some place like this over Starbucks any day. With that, there's always a risk of the experience only being average (in hopes of it being amazing.) This place quality of coffee and food was simply average. I got a blended white cow add mocha and vanilla. I get the same thing (white chocolate, add regular mocha and vanilla frap) at this place called Gravity Coffee and it's the best thing ever so I was hoping it wasn't too far off at this place. (BTDub - If you're every in the Tacoma, Olympia, Puyallup area you MUST check out Gravity Coffee #JustSayin.) It's not like my drink here was bad by any means, just wasn't amazing which is disappointing. It was heavy on the espresso flavor. So, if you're in the mood for that, definitely try it, but I like when the flavors blend well together and in this one the espresso was just overpowering. I read in a different review that they don't use a frap base, (unfortunately, after I already ordered the drink) so that is probably why the blend seems off. I also ordered a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Now, I wish I could separate my star ratings from food, to drink, to service because the food was awful. It's on an English Muffin, (so pretty basic) but it wasn't even toasted which gave it a true 1 star. The service would've received 5 stars. The woman was super nice. She even told me the name of a different drink that I could've ordered (if I ever come back) that way I don't get charged for all the extra flavors. Unfortunately, by this point, I was already thinking of how I wasn't going to come back so I didn't bother to remember the name. Also, the branding and physical appearance would receive 5 stars in my book too! Its truly a cute little place. I love the fonts of the menu and the sandwich packaging. Ever since I moved to Orchards, I've been going to Dutch bros on fourth plain, but they've been making their "coffee" way too sweet and with too much milk. Then I discovered Brewed Awakenings, and first off, customer service is great! Second, it's early in the morning and I'm not hit with "so where you headed?" like they do at Dutch. Brewed makes my drink and I'm off. Although, I have been coming by more often and some of the employees recognize me and we would have a small conversation! And I don't mind that because it sounds genuine! Their coffee actually tastes like coffee and the sweetness level is just perfect for me! Love this place! read more

I am so sad that I no longer feel comfortable going here. I love the people and the coffee and they were always so pleasant and helpful. Recently I noticed that they advertise a certain political affiliation that is somewhat controversial with what they stand for and given the volatile political atmosphere I would rather distance myself from any business that advertises, through certain uniforms or apparel, any party that is involved with destruction of any kind or a movement that goes against my own beliefs. I am not against the diversity of beliefs, just not a comfortable feeling that a fist the air is representative of acceptance and equality. Despite saying they are no longer using the holiday cup, today (Match 3) I purchased an americano at the Vancouver store hoping the problem was solved. It was in a holiday cup and, right on cue, within 30 minutes hot coffee started running out of the seam. Fortunately it was double cupped so I could pour it into the outer cup rather than just throwing it out. Americanos are obviously incompatible with the glue used in the cups yet the company continues to ignore the problem and liability. read more

They have all sorts of drinks available ranging from espresso to non espresso. Most of the time I opt for something crazy and they don't disappoint. However, to warn you, they are on the sweeter side so have them modify it to your liking. Today, all I wanted was some hot tea. The barista asked me twice at the speaker if I want hot or iced tea, I came to the window she asked again, I also for bottled water, she ran my card &eft the window for 6minutes!!!!!!! How long does it take to put a bag of tea into hot water?! She comes to give the tea & I ask for the water as well as well & she says "oh I thought I gave it to you"!um no ... Is customer service dead? I've worked my way through school juggling 2-3 barista jobs at a time- I know alllll about this industry and how to make it in the competitive coffee world. I can honestly say that I do not know how they are still in business. I'd not been to this location in years due to a previous bad customer service experience the details of which I cannot even recall, however last week I was diving my grandmother around and she asked me to pull in for a blended chai tea. We sat in line, trapped in the drive through, for 20 minutes. No exaggeration. When I got to the window the less than perky person collecting my hard earned money offered no recognition of the excessive wait time. Hoping to at least illicit an apology I asked if they were short staffed today. She but my head off the way she asked me 'no... Why?' When I told her I was asking because I has just waited 20 minutes to get to the window she said "that's not possible. Our wait time is 9 minutes right now". I said 'are you saying I'm lying?' And she said back to me 'no, but you are exaggerating your story'. I was utterly blown away. I just collected my grandmother's (by this point melted) froze. drink and silently drove away, reaffirmed in my convictions that Brewed Awakenings is home to the worst customer service on the planet. read more

I actually drove out of my way to go to the Minnihaha location today on my day off to get the Turish Hazelnut coffee other times been ok. This time the gals completely did not get my order correct. When I got to the window they even asked me what I ordered. I asked before at window what scones they had. They wanted to tell me at the window they never did!! Pis I ordered a large coffee they gave me a medium$4.83 was the price. I was never given a receipt or offered a receipt The gal just ran my card through and walked away!!! We stopped here on our way to a Wednesday night gig in Vancouver. It's really cute! There's room to sit and enjoy a drink, and easy on/off the street. I ordered an iced Belgian latte which was delicious! I would have ordered a pastry but their case was empty when we arrived at 3PM. My husband got a cold brew and said it was very good as well. We sat at the bar and killed some time on laptops before heading out. The air is ice cold in here so bring a sweater if you get chilly easily. The music is a 90's mix-think Alanis, Nirvana, Toad the Wet Sprocket. I would recommend giving this local coffee spot a try. read more
