I had heard so much about this bakery, and have had a slice of their berry pie a couple of years ago from a friend. So I decided to pop in because my husband loves carrot cake and I heard their was the best in town. And being the week before Easter I had high hopes. I was sadly disappointed. I walked in the a very sparce bakery case. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was Monday afternoon and they may have been still baking for the week. They had some cookies and brownies and about 6 very small carrot cake muffins.small meaning the size you would bake at home, not the larger bakery style. They did look pretty cute but was shocked at the price. I paid over $9 for two small cupcakes, I thought, these better be amazing. I took them home, my husband gave an 'eh, not the best carrot cake I have ever had' review. I had to try for myself.There was no spice or really any other flavor , just straight up carrot. It was moist and he loved the frosting but that was it. I love to support a small business and don't mind paying a bit more if the product is good. But that was not the case. I'd somehow driven past Chandelier Bakery a hundred times without realizing it was actually a bakery. Indeed, it looks like a lovely house, but it is a bakery. I stopped in ten minutes before closing time, and was very happy to find a wide variety of items still available. Service was very friendly, prompt, and helpful. I was most impressed with their cinnamon rolls. They're muffin-shaped, and despite having a dense texture, they're not heavy or tough. They seem to have just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar, and the frosting is not overly sweet. The chocolate chip cookies were soft and fresh, and definitely better than many I've had at other bakeries. The mascarpone cheese cherry chocolate cake was light and flavorful. Long story short, don't trust this bakery with your special day. Not only will they not give you what you ordered (TWICE), their cake is not good. I tried to work this out with them and give them an opportunity to make it right since they are a small business but the owner doubled down instead of just admitting she made a mistake. We requested a gothic "death to my 20's cake" with roses and the photo attached is the cake we got. It looked TERRIBLE!! Overall this experience was truly awful and not what we expected from such a well-respected bakery. We not only emailed chandelier to place our order with the details, we also went in person to confirm the order. We sent photos over email and then in person reiterated what we wanted, to include a 3 tier cake. What we got when we went to pick it up was extremely unprofessional, opposite of what we wanted, and did not look like a well decorated cake. We already had a stressful and busy day planned for a surprise party and then we had to add the additional stress of having a cake that looked unprofessional. We had to bring the cake back and luckily the decorator was able to fix the cake to look more like what we wanted, but we had to wait all day for the cake. We also asked the decorator to verify the cake was 3 layers, they said they would double check. When we cut into the cake it turned out it was not three layers. We trusted the bakery to provide us with what we asked for. We specifically chose this bakery based on the cakes they post on Facebook because we believed that this bakery was the most skilled and would provide us with what we asked for. When we got to the bakery we found out that the decorator was not given the photos we emailed as what we wanted. This was for our friends 30th birthday, which only happens once, and it was extremely important to have a cake that we asked for. This whole experience threw off our carefully planned and scheduled day and added so much additional stress as we suddenly could no longer trust the bakery to provide what we asked for. I popped in yesterday because I had some time to kill between appointments and I had bookmarked this spot to check out because I heard they have keto baked goods. Lemme tell you!!! That keto pumpkin bar was amazing. I am not a fan of pumpkin spiced anything. But it was their only option yesterday morning for keto goodies. So I took a gamble and I am so happy I did. It did not give that too much pumpkin spice vibe. It was subtle and tasted kind of like a glazed heavy pumpkin doughnut with sugars icing. I kept saying to my family, "how in the hell is this keto?!" I swear I'm coming back next week (they're closed today) to get another keto treat. My sister had a bite of the bar and she agreed. Did not taste keto or low carb at all. They hit it out of the ball park. My family also had non keto treats. Sister had a carrot cupcake and said it was equally amazing. She went for the red velvet with her coffee this morning...Also amazing!! I am so impressed and love how close it is. This is going to be my go-to for a sweet treat year round. Cannot hype them up enough. They also have coffees available. What I also dug was that they sell local artist work too (bracelets, aprons, preserves and such). I had already purchased my coffee for the day but it had a lot of assortments. I would definitely pick up coffee next time for family. The inside pix posted on Yelp are legit-inside is just as cute in person. If you're in the area prioritize checking this place out. It was cold, dense, stale, and barely tasted of cinnamon. I'm sure it was days old but it was not indicated as such. We got to try their scrumptious vegan Carrot cake recently at a Savor the Couve to-go order meal event, so I can't speak to the interior of their bakery/cafe or the staff/service at this time. But based on how scrummy their vegan Carrot Cake was, we will definitely stop by to try more in the future. And the piece of cake was large enough two people could (and did!) easily share it, without feeling deprived. The cake was super-moist and the frosting was creamy and delicious. We come here because they usually have monster cookies. Black Rock coffee stands run out about 80% of the time before 1pm so we come here to Chandelier. The service is always good and it's a nice little place to hang out.. They are not a full blown coffee bar but focus on bakery stuff. I recommend and will be back, Lord willing. I ordered a custom cake, took photos for reference and spoke with the main decorator who assured me she could do what I asked. When I picked up the cake it was different than I requested, I had wanted the gold color to be bright gold which she said was no problem. It was a more pastel gold ish color with not much detail. The frosting was also very hard and broke off which I thought was odd, maybe that it had been refrigerated uncovered? It was really brittle around the edges. They couldn't find a box the right size and brought out a top piece that had obviously been used because it was dirty, really dirty like it had been on the floor or something. I thought it would be ok because I was at least counting on a delicious cake. When cutting into the cake at the party, it was so dry, it crumbled when I tried to cut a bite off with my fork. I've honestly never had a cake that dry before. I noticed no one at the party finished their piece of cake. I was embarrassed serving such a dry taste less cake. I was so disappointed as it was my husband's retirement party which is a one and done type of celebration. It was a total waste of close to $300 for a really awful cake. read more

My daughter wanted brownies for her birthday "cake". Not many places in Vancouver area that have options like this place does. I've driven by countless times and never stopped until I Yelped brownies. This place is extremely quaint and welcoming - inside and out. So many options for all taste buds or desires...I ordered 12 regular size brownies and they were kind enough to cut them in half for me. They will boxed with care and ready to go when I needed to pick them up. They were a big hit for the 12 year old and all our camping family quests. How disappointing!!!! I tried to help this bakery with our local pdxketomeetup community which I've organized meetings and events for. I have purchased KETO treats from this bakery and noticed their prices getting more and more outrageous. $3.50 for ONE small keto sugar cookie with cream cheese frosting as an example, I overlooked it and brought it to their attention and wrote it off as learning curve with our KETO community. Little did I know my sweet hubby wanted to surprise me for my birthday and buy me "birthday cupcakes". He places the order ahead of time and went to pick them up. 12 small, plain cupcakes. No filling, no decoration, plain stale cupcakes. I was so bummed because this place is known for their gorgeous decorations. Had it at least had fancy decoration maybe I would have felt better about getting charged $70 for a dozen mediocre KETO cupcakes. That's 5.83 per cupcake !!! I purchased a smash cake for my son for his 1st birthday and it was amazing! I asked for a red and black plaid look and they nailed it. So my wife brought home a dark chocolate cake with a raspberry filling for my 40th birthday today. I was not disappointed. The cake was amazing and there was an added bonus. I'm not usually one for frosting on my cake , but when I tell you this cake paired perfectly with my cabernet please believe it, frosting and all. Charmingly renovated house with a beautiful bakery case of sweets and savories. We shared their house mocha with hemp milk, a bacon and cheese croissant, and a house cinnamon roll. Everything was fresh, well balanced in flavor, texture, and I especially appreciate that the cinnamon roll wasn't overly dry on the outside- perfectly tender and gooey throughout! We ordered 18 cupcakes for our daughters birthday party at the end of May 2023. We called in a week ahead of time, they took my order over the phone. The service was very polite and informative, they were very patient with me as I had many questions since I had not ordered from here before. We were able to get gluten free options for those who needed which was wonderful! The cupcakes were so tasty! The price is a little higher then what you get at the grocery store but these are high quality bakery items. Don't expect high quality items for cheap, it doesn't work that way! My husband went to pick up our order and loved the inside of the shop, he said it was nicely decorated and easy to find.
