Happy to try some brews from Ommegang you cannot get nationally. Tempura asparagus was delicious. Had their special chicken wrap and husband had the wings. The blue cheese dip is house made and was great. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. We visited on the off season on a rainy day but can see how it would be a great hang on a warm sunny day.

We love this brewery. We live in AZ and drive to the East coast every summer. We had the pleasure of having Allie as our server. It was a very busy Sat and there were 100's of bikers for an event that showed up. But Allie had no problem taking care of our group of 10. She was spot on and took time to shoot the shit with us. Her knowledge of the menu was so helpful as well as her engaging personality. What great fun was our experience, Give this girl a raise' Go Allie!!

What an awesome location. I believe they have something like 300 acres and it does not look like an brewery, but more like a large distillery. Great service and food, we had the chicken and waffles (some of the best I have had since Besaw's in Portland, changed locations) and my work mate had the chicken sandwich with home made fries. Beers without saying are awesome, I have always been a fan of them and I was surprised to find them close to where I was working for the week. Side note, according to one of the staff this place is crazy in the summer and I can see why. Hands down one of the coolest breweries I have visited.

Definitely a destination brewery. Make the drive if you can - very much worth it. We visited on a Saturday night in May while on a weekend trip to Cooperstown. We've had their beer many times as they distribute widely in South Jersey where we are from, but this was our first time at the brewery. It's a beautiful property, a massive compound nestled in the trees on the outskirts of Cooperstown on a 140 acre former hop farm that now feels like a Belgian monastery. The beautiful area and buildings are worth the visit alone, but the beer is also amazing. They've been open since 1997, so they've had time to perfect their beer and overall operation. As it was a Saturday night, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it wasn't too bad especially because they had live music, and the wait gave us time to peruse their expansive gift shop. My girlfriend and I each had a flight, mostly with limited release beers only available at the brewery. Each one was divine. In terms of food, the standout was the ahi tuna poke bowl. My son definitely enjoyed the table shuffleboard which we played for a while. Overall this is a spectacular place that we can't wait to come back to sometime, hopefully soon!

Huge bar and tasting room that's also serves a typical bar food menu. Flights available; there were 20 beers on tap when we were there. Dog friendly only on the outside patio. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and the beer styles.

This is a special place! Their beer selection is very broad. My favorite was the Neon Rainbow. Their beer is located all throughout the town and in the many restaurants in Cooperstown. The food was excellent. I went twice just to enjoy the chicken and waffle. Instead of syrup the use a maple bacon bechamel...bechamel is like gravy. The raspberry jam drizzle gives it a little acid and balances the dish nicely. The property is gorgeous. Large indoor seating area and a large covered outdoor area. There is a massive (two football field size) grass field where kids typically play wiffel ball. The staff is very nice, don't expect all of them to know everything about the beer menu but they do work hard. we were in for a baseball tournament and the place was slammed. It is a good Ron de vous point!

What a difference a server makes. Group of 6 on Sunday Bingo day, which looks like a blast. Colleen provided exceptional and friendly service. Right from the start I knew our group would have a good time. Food also much better. Chicken sandwiches, hamburgers and Tennessee hot chicken sandwich all amazing. Hot chicken had a nice hot and heat flavor. Routine and the Brussels were also very good.

We were visiting NY from CA for a Cooperstown baseball tournament. Amy was super friendly and ensured we got our items quickly. They were very busy that day, but once we sat down there wasn't much of a wait for food and drinks. The atmosphere is great. The out door area was great for letting the kids run around and have fun. The Chai cider was really good. We would definitely come back.

My friend and I were visiting friends in Upstate New York, from SOCAL who brought us to this Brewery. We had such an amazing time, and so much fun... My friends did the beer tasting but since I don't like beer, I had a seltzer and it was so yummy!!! We shared some of their pretzel sticks and loved the different dip options it came with... Super cool place to hangout and they have a really nice gift shop at the front of the restaurant too with tons of options from clothing to drinks and etc...

Man, despite their lack of good signage etc yesterday--I'm in the camp where f you're closed for a private event (in the case os 10/12/24, a wedding) you need more than a modest banner on your website and one post on your secondary instagram (that isn't the re-shared on the brewery's main one), like a sign out front by the poorly lit sign for the brewery--Ommegang was worth the buzz. This place is great. Well worth the buzz and a must visit in cooperstown. After a full day at the Hall of Fame, we got 2 flights. In sum, the: Cooper's hop, Abbey Ale, Gnommegang, Dream patch, watermelon falls, keep it crunchy, All hallows treat, and the Chai Cider. We were singing each's praises. That last one was awesome. Watermelon Falls is a watermelon Jolly Rancher, Gnommegang was refreshing. "Keep it crunchy" was tasty. All Hallows Treat is one of the best Halloween-y seasonals we've had ever. We will return. You should go. Just check their website for any schedule shenanigans. XD

First time here. This summer was our second trip to participate in the Cooperstown at All Star Village. We had this brewery on our list of places to visit when we come back. This was the year that we got to stop by. After a long day in Cooperstown visiting the Hall of Fame and all the things, coming to OG (short for Ommegang) with our team and wonderful parents was a nice way to end the hot day. The boys went outside in the heat to play wiffle ball while the parents ordered and indulged in some beer tasting. It was pretty good and refreshing. The food was good and offered creative dishes similar to what I see in California so that was nice. My only tip is if you come with a group, and you sit at different tables, each table is with a different waiter/waitress so if your kid is sitting at another table and orders with that tables wait staff, you will have to pay that person for your kid's bill. It can irritate the staff to have to break up the bills and it's a hassle I get it. To divide up the bill for 8-9 families and their kids.

I don't live here and only visited for like 3 days but came here twice in the short time I was in town. As San Diegans, we appreciate good beers, and are a bit selective, since we have access to tons of excellent beers. We've long enjoyed Ommegang beers, and getting to come drink from the source in person was a treat!!! They really do solid Belgians, and I had a sour I liked as well. The grounds are awesome and family-friendly. Plenty of space and grass for kids to run around and play. We marveled at the gigantic bonfire that ensued once the sun went down.

Great spot for lunch if you're traveling through the area! Around 1pm on a Saturday we were able to get right in and the patio was wide open. My sister had tried a flight - generous pours - and I had Dream Patch (two thumbs up for this sour). We tried the Brussels sprouts appetizer and then we both had the chicken sandwich. Brussels could have used a touch of salt, but were otherwise perfect. We both LOVED the chicken sandwich. Crispy but not dry, and the hot honey was a nice addition. I could have spent several hours hanging out on the patio, but we had somewhere to be. I will definitely be back.

Ask the Community - Brewery Ommegang

Do they have outdoor eating? Do the staff wear masks and are the tables socially distanced?

When we went in March, there was no outdoor dining. But they look like they would during the summer months!

Do they have TVs to watch football on Sunday?

    I didn't see any TVs.

Anyone camped during concerts? I have a few tickets, but only two camping passes and wanted to know how strict the policy or policing is?

Camping passes are per person. not per plot, and you must have a pass to camp. Security does not allow those without camping passes to enter the camping area. You may be able to find someone selling a camping pass on the event page on Facebook.

Everything was ok, but nothing more. The server was friendly but after serving our flight we didn't really have much interaction. I wouldn't say he ignored us, but the staff (there were 3 people working) weren't particularly engaging. The ambiance is pretty cool with a baseball theme. Makes sense since Cooperstown is home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. They have one back room that has a wall that is painted to look like a scoreboard and outfield wall and another wall painted to look like a bench of a baseball field. There was a food truck on site the day we went (looked like a pizza food truck) but we had just eaten so we didn't get any food. I don't think they have their own kitchen. Another thing that's an oddity is that 2 out of the 4 beers I tried weren't in the Untappd app. Seems like they were slightly disorganized in that way. We also noticed that online it says they're only open Friday - Sunday; but when we went in they were advertising being open 7 days a week. Seems like they have some work to do to get things more organized.

I went inside to order a drink and some food and was passed by twice before the woman said she'd be with me. Another younger girl came over and asked if I wanted to order something. Odd questions since I'd been standing there looking at the menu that was on the bar as well as looking at the beers they had listed on the board. I ordered a wheat blonde beer and told her I also wanted to place a food order. She told me I couldn't do that there, and said I needed to order from the food truck table. That table had a chalkboard with their three specials, different items than the bar menu so I ordered off of that, was given a pager and headed outside (The food truck girl was very kind and asked where I was sitting but I hadn't picked a table yet) I ordered a cauliflower margarita pizza which was just the right size to pair with my beer. It came out quick and hot and tasted good. I sat at my table eating alone and enjoying the music but found that that's what everyone was doing. Sitting at their own tables. Enjoying the music or conversing amongst themselves but keeping to themselves. For a brewery with live music on a sunny Saturday afternoon it was just ok.
