Just get rid of them and set up a queue so people can grab a beer, order their food, take a number and find a spot to chill, drink, eat, and buss their own tables. This place is so over thought out it doesn't have to be this bad because it's a rad space, prime real estate, food is decent, and their beer is (normally) great. We order the chicken bacon melt with German style potato salad and the smash burger double patty with potato chips and a pickle. This is a new brewery/restaurant in Nevada City California. It is located at 300 Spring Street. This is not to be confused with their brewery which is at a different location. I came in today...march 19th. See receipt. It was a beautiful sunny day and i decided to try this spot. Great find! Beautiful indoor dining area and the outdoor dining area is expansive! Totally dog friendly! I tried the humongous pretzel with 3 types of dipping sauce..one tasted like warm beer infused cheese. YUM! I could only eat a small amount..enough to share between 3 people! They have plenty of beer to choose from along with wine. This is a perfect set up to hang out with friends and your fur baby! Its a very casual and laidback atmosphere. The menu is currently a bit limited but give them a chance because i heard they have more plans down the road. The staff is friendly and genuinely look happy to be working here. Saddest grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had. cold, soggy, just a couple pieces of bread with barely any cheese. I was so hungry so I didn't ask them to take it back. Our welcome wedding party at Brewhaus was absolutely perfect! Danni was amazing to work with--so easygoing, super responsive, and full of great suggestions that helped make the planning process a breeze. The space was exactly what we were looking for to kick off our wedding weekend, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone raved about the food (and, of course, the beer!), and the whole atmosphere was so fun and relaxed. A huge shoutout to Taylor, our server, who truly knocked it out of the park--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. It was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. I visited this place couple of times since the last review. The service has been much better. Their pretzel with house cheese is definitely worth the visit. This is one of our new favorites in Nevada City. Hands down best soft pretzel & beer cheese side from Auburn to Truckee! Excellent beer choices & alternatives! We've tried the brats, a few sandwiches, pretzels & several different beer options. Warning, you may find yourself craving their soft pretzel, which is my go-to! It's absolutely amazing melt in your mouth goodness with the perfect amount of beer cheese. I prefer to order it with the Hazy IPA and the seasonal pickled side (sooo good if you are into fermented pickled items). It's large enough to share but you may want one all to yourself. My husband's favorite is the fully loaded pretzels paired with the Brewbilt Kolsch. As far as service, I was shocked to see some reviewers claiming they were discriminated against. Literally every time I have been there (upwards of 8 times), I have seen multiple ethnicities and everyone was treated exactly the same. I also want to note they are very family & pet friendly. The outdoor area includes a comfy seating section with a giant chalk wall for kids to color on & it's spacious enough for strollers and the littles to run around without feeling like you are ruining other guests dining experience. If you want a more intimate quiet vibe, the inside is lovely and peaceful with beautiful tiling, soft lighting and fresh plants sprinkled throughout. Great food and great service. We were walking around town looking for a place to eat that allowed dogs. Brewhaus had a nice big patio and was very welcoming to us and our pup. Stopped in on a Saturday and sat outside. Got the first beer quickly. After that it was flagged down the server. We ordered the cheese plate mainly for the Cow Girl Creamery Point Reyes blue cheese. Plate got dropped off and the server kept on going. There was no blue cheese on the platter. When found the server she argued that it was, 'I saw it". We left some of all three cheeses on the plate. Asked her to point it out and she pointed to a Camembert. She came with right cheese saying they changed the selection without telling the servers or changing the menu. Foolishly I ordered a bratwurst with sauerkraut. It was not a brat, it was a hot dog. Brats are made only from pork, this was beef and greasy. Won't be back read more

I didn't catch the exact orders across my entire party, but everyone seemed happy and plates were spotless. The main gripe we had was for the service. Excellent service and delicious food. We were greeted immediately and someone was constantly checking on us. The space is modern, relaxing, and clean. It was the perfect spot for a quiet late afternoon date, but I imagine it's a lot busier and louder in the evenings and on weekends. All that to say, the vibe likely changes throughout the day making it a place for a wide variety of customers. My only possible concern is that the service may have been too good. It may be difficult to maintain the level of service we received over time. We will definitely be back for the yummy sausages and pretzels. read more

We loveee an outdoor beer garden, and this is such a good use of space. The inside is curated and cozy, but the lounging spaces and picnic tables (often accompanied by live music or a DJ are really where it's at. If you order a giant pretzel, be sure to ask for the mustard in addition to the beer cheese! They also do great frozen cocktails in the summer, and their german-style beers bring the vibe full circle. We enjoyed visiting over the summer, and we bundled up for another trip during victorian christmas last weekend! read more

Stopped by on Sunday 12/22 during Victorian Christmas. We were seated right away for a table of 4 which was surprising given how jam packed Nevada City was. They only had a set menu available which was fine, but the food was very simple / boring. Nothing extravagant, the two Pretzel Brats came completely plain, no condiments, no sauerkraut, just dry bun and lukewarm Brat. Mixed greens were very bitter and the potato salad was extremely bland. The only saving grace to the meal was the Pretzel Bites. Kind of hard to screw something up that's smothered in beer cheese and bacon. The service was fast and friendly. I was a little disappointed that the dark beer I wanted to try was still on the menu but no longer available. The server suggested a different beer which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. That beer was Entwined Roots Mild Ale. While it was nothing like the Cosmic Shadow Schwarzbier I had planned to order, it was still tasty. I'll definitely go back! read more

This place is excellent. Frankly, I'm baffled by the low rating. I have been twice and it was excellent both times. The food is high quality and interesting (for German food) and the beer is EXCELLENT and served appropriately (proper glassware). Service has been attentive, kind, and friendly both times. We wanted to stop in again today but they were closed for a post holiday break. That's understandable, but disappointing because we have become true fans of this establishment! Place is expensive as hell. We went there in the early afternoon. We had a young white server with dark hair who was a prick. Very un-accommodating and was straight awkward. We had beer cheese on one dish and the cheese wasn't even melted. Like a big glob of cheese. The place also reeked of onions like some version of book "holes." Save yourself the pain and go to Grass Valley. Downtown Nevada City has lost its appeal and the restaurants confirm it. read more
