Stopped in on a road trip after reading yelp reviews and wasn't so sure upon pulling into the parking lot. Don't let the outside fool you!! This place is a destination all on its own and we will drive miles out of our way to return. I had the spicy chicken hoagie which was delicious. The meat was very fresh and flavorful, bread was soft and I loved the spicy ranch sauce ($8.99). Definitely one of the best sandwiches that I've had in a pub. French fries was a small serving and not very hot but were good otherwise. The sandwich itself deserves 4 stars. My husband had to Ruben sandwich and he said it was not one of the best. The bun was not grilled and the meat was kind of cold and was more like a pastrami sandwich than a Reuben. We stopped in today for lunch and really enjoyed it. My 8 year old ordered the chicken tenders, I had the Mt Olympus, and bf had the spicy chicken hoagie. We all enjoyed our meals. My son and I couldn't finish ours but my bf finished both ours for us. There is a sign when you walk in telling you to seat yourself and just order at the bar, and then someone at the bar also came over to make sure we knew to order at the bar since we hadn't been there before. The two people at the bar were very friendly. We will be back. I don't really like beer but the service and food were good so since my boyfriend loves beer and likes the food too we have already decided we are coming back. read more

We had a great time celebrating my husband's new job. There's not much stuff in the chicken salad, no nuts, cranberries, etc. Boyfriend had the waynesboro sandwich. Was really good!! Friend with us had the reuben and said it was really good too. The food does not disappoint either, we had a pretzel two pizzas and wings, all were delicious. I walked out with hard to find sour beers, three different Austin ciders, a chocolate peanut butter Porter, Banana bread beer, and a few others. For a place to use Boars Head meat in their sandwiches and still have their food be so average is a little disappointing. I found this place to be a missed opportunity. The location itself is very cool: laid back, open, and inviting. The draft beer selection was decent but not great. I had the spicy chicken hoagie which was outstanding but my wife had a steak sandwich which was made of lunch meat and was extremely dry and flavorless. The selection of beers to go was quite good for a shop this size but were ridiculously overpriced (and as a person that visits numerous bottle shops per week, I should know). My biggest issue with Brewmasters was the bar staff. The two girls working were apathetic, slow, and lacking knowledge. My wife and I stood at the bar for several minutes hoping to order drinks while they looked at us and finished a non-work related conversation. When my wife asked a question about one of the beers, the girl helping us literally rolled her eyes. When asked a question about the food, she had no idea. On the bright side, the guy making the food was super nice and friendly. I will likely give this place another shot as they are doing some things very well, but if they hope to succeed, they need to clean up some issues. read more

Man I tell ya, this is one helluva place! They've even got beer from Neptune on tap, all ya gotta do is ask! The beer is probably why you're checking this place out (see: name of restaurant), but the food is high-key killer. Not like serial killer dahmer killer, more like donna scrivo killer. The only negative is one of the bartender's boyfriend was there and he didn't look very pleasant, gave me a really mean look, and to be honest, my feelings were hurt. The food is pretty good, I will give them that. Side salad needs a bigger container because it spills all over the table (which I guess isn't a bad thing because it's a full salad but you lose a lot on the table). It is hard to eat unless you cut because they shred the lettuce so it's super long and stringy. It's an order at the bar type place so just expect to wait on yourself. They were out of four items that we wanted so that kinda sucked. Overall a solid place- I would say 3.5. read more

We came to Goldsboro for a wedding and although we've been blown away by the Carolina BBQ throughout the state, with coagulated blood we were hoping for something that at least had a semblance of healthy or light. The food here is incredibly fresh and delicious. Coming from California I was very happily surprised. The avocado and cucumber on their Baboon cold wrap stuffed with not too much cheese, and a healthy serving of spinach really hit the spot. Feeling a bit better about life, we had the fried pickle chips (we are still in NC can't completely depart from the oily goodness) and what a fantastic decision that was. I can't recollect a better pickle chip in my life. Worth the trip alone. To add to the deliciousness, they're deli mustard is clearly stone ground rich goodness, the ranch is creamy and coats your taste buds without overpowering, and the metro deli chips were to die for. Top it all of with an incredible beer selection and well, this place is an absolute hit. Kudos brewmasters! Now do us a solid and get the Sunday ticket ;). Being from New Jersey, I know how pizza should be made. All other areas of the country cannot bear a good NJ/NY slice. At the same time I do have to say the bar pizza they have, especially the funky fresh pizza is quite good. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, as well as the consistency of it, as I have ordered it around 33.5 times currently. Brewmasters has a great atmosphere and the back porch area is really nice! It's good to sit outside if you have a big group. They have a pretty unique selection of local beers on tap. Their food is mediocre in my opinion. Their sweet potato fries are amazing and so are the pickle chips! It's kind of inconvenient that you have to ask and pay extra for condiments such as ranch. I have been here about 3 times for beer, and the service was good, and they have a good selection of beer. Went there today and wanted to grab beer dip, and it was beyond disappointing. We sat at a table, but still had to order at the bar, which was strange. They do offer a large amount of pita chips with the dip, but the dip was terrible. Beer dip is suppose to be served warm, and is was almost cold, and it was not made correctly at all. Other people enjoyed their sandwiches, but I don't plan to dine here again. read more

We've been there three times. Second time we left before the order was completed on the order screen. Third time was the charm. The bratwurst is delicious. However, the atmosphere was horrible. Music played for the first few minutes than stopped..... never started and we got to enjoy beer deliveries and listening to did you write a check for the beer delivery? Perhaps if at least one tv was not on mute that listening to TMI could have been avoided. I've never looked for close captioning on a random tv in my life. Just eat and leave ( like put some atmosphere in this place people) was on mute. Lunch time is probably the difference. That said as a business if you are going to be open during lunch time...... we have to basically wait on ourselves. At least act like you make nice with customer that thought on the first two visits you were just having an off day. read more
