Amazing spot! Came here for our first time today and tried their "Lewis and Clark" and it tasted like a liquid cinnamon roll...it was sinful but incredible. Besides their very unique menu, the atmosphere is really what stood out to me. It's a huge open space with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. It's one long room, and at the end is more of a meeting/banquet room (either a bachelorette party or a wedding shower was happening there when we were here). Lots of space for anyone, no matter if you're looking for couches to relax on or tables to sit at and get some major work done. We'd be here an embarrassing amount of times if we lived here. This coffee shop is close to Elmhurst University, which is great when you are an adjunct and you need something before class. I have food allergies so I appreciate their choice of alternative milk and yummy gluten free/vegan baked goods. I LOVE this place. Not only is it super cute, the staff is very friendly, and they have super unique drinks. I was first pulled in by the lavender latte, and they had a women owned small business fair going on in the back room. Too cute! Last time I went in I got a "trail mix" latte and they had a local food author in to sell and sign books. I can't even remember all of the concoctions I've tried, but I'm never disappointed. There is usually a line and a bit of a wait, but it's worth it and there's tons of parking. Even though I'm not a local, I have finally signed up for their rewards. A wonderful start to our Sunday morning at Brewpoint when we were greeted at the window by a darling young person who was friendly and knowledgeable. She took our orders for a seasonal coffee, chai tea, croissant and muffin. There were plenty of empty outdoor tables so we felt like we could eat there (and we have not been dining in during Covid at all). The coffee with mocha orange was so good. My daughter loved her tea and croissant too. I noticed their support of equality signs and that sealed the deal. I went with the Amelia Earhart coffee--iced--and enjoyed sipping on it while walking around the downtown area. There are lots of other brews that I definitely plan on trying. I love brewpoint. My husband and I love the butter croissant sandwiches. My daughter likes the coffees.

I hate writing bad reviews, but I have no choice after being blown off by Patrick. I ordered a cappuccino this morning. It was piping hot and I kindly asked Patrick (guy at the register who I later found out is the manager) if he could please remake it because any barista with proper training should know if you over steam milk, the drink is ruined. He told me NO, he would not remake my drink because "they didn't do anything wrong". Yes sir, you did do something wrong. You burnt the milk and my cappuccino was undrinkable. Not only was it too hot from over steaming but it also changed the taste because milk denatures after a certain heat point. It was way too hot and tasted terrible. As a coffee shop that labels themselves "craft", I would expect them to know this simple milk steaming information. We also ordered a Cortado and we're given an 8 ounce drink. Cortados are only 4 oz. I was baffled that I was denied a new drink. Makes me sad that Patrick was cold with his response. Usually when the customer is unsatisfied, the business should try everything possible to make it right, especially when they are the ones at fault. We didn't want to have to write this review, but after we called and spoke with Patrick about the whole scenario in hopes he would hear us out, he unfortunately was not helpful and couldn't have cared less to hear our constructive criticism. We hope an owner sees this and corrects this "managers" poor service and pours into their Barista's training a little more. Hopefully the owner isn't Patrick! read more

I've been a loyal customer for years, but Brewpoint went above and beyond today. I just had a hip surgery and as a treat, I ordered a bag of coffee and put in the notes that this was going to be a gift for myself when I get home from the hospital. Usually it takes a day for local delivery but one of the owners Angelo called me and offered to bring it directly to my house today. They even wrote a sweet message on the box and gave me a handful of stickers along with the coffee! Unfortunately I have to edit my review. Brewpoint used to be the best place to get a cup of coffee in the Chicagoland area. I regret to say that isn't the case anymore. I was super happy for them when they announced they were getting into cocktails and charcuterie. However, once they started the venture, I noticed the coffee just didn't taste the same. Their flavors used to be bold, but never over the top. Now, they seem very muted and bland. I also used to look forward to their seasonal menus. Now when they are announced, there's only one coffee option and everything is so floral focused. I understand this might be a personal opinion on my end, but a coffee shop should have more coffee options seasonally. There customer service has also gone downhill. I always take advantage of the order ahead option and pickup at their outside window. Multiple times my drink was made incorrectly (wrong size or it was iced instead of hot, etc.) and when I politely brought it up, I was met with eye rolls and attitude. Never once did I get a sorry. My drink was always just snatched from my hand and they walked away. Almost like I am inconveniencing them for asking to get my order corrected. I understand the customer service industry sucks right now with how many Karen's there seems to be, but how I have approached brewpoint's team has always been with respect and it's never been reciprocated. Brewpoint used to be the best coffee shop in Elmhurst. Today, I feel you can get a better cup of coffee and experience at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. read more

I ordered a cortado and also a cappuccino, and both were consistently delicious. My cousins were in town to visit and wanted to get some coffee. We knew there was a local Starbucks, but we wanted to try local. We scrounged through Yelp, and Brewpoint Coffee was way up there in ratings. My first time into Brewpoint Coffee was in downtown Elmhurst. Its a very cute and quaint coffee shop that sits in front of the Metra. Even with the train passing, I couldn't hear it at all. If you want to come in here to study, coffee date, even for a quick chat, it's perfect. They have a rotation for their drinks along with their solid staple of drinks they make regularly. This place did not disappoint with my drink. I ordered the blended Bartolomé with coconut milk. I wasn't expecting much, but the taste was bliss. It tasted like a crispy camp fire, albeit chilled. It was a definite surprise to have the options of a hot drink or cold with their main stock of drinks. I'd be a poor guy because I would be funneling all my money to them for a taste of them all! I wish there were more places like this! The vibes inside the Founder's location were casual, typical of a coffee shop, and great for doing light computer work. Just had a horrible experience. Lovely days has had me out walking with a stop at the Brewpoint window to get a latte. Each day I'm pushing a buggy with a sleeping baby. I order my coffee today and the person at the window says oh we're sorry we can't take cash. They've taken cash every day this week. I've been here this week several times. Every other cashier just took my cash and brought it over to the other register. No argument no problems just a nice exchange. Today they told me they can't take cash. I asked to speak to the manager, the manager and her falsely apologetic way says oh we're so sorry we can't take that. I explained to her she's in the service business. She could've been nice just saw my situation and taken the cash. But no. She had to show how much authority she had how tough she was and didn't really care whether she was providing good service to someone who patronizes their little independent coffee shop all the time. Could I have whipped out my credit card and paid for it that way. Sure. But their awful attitude and lack of humanity did not allow me to do that. I asked her please not to wish me a wonderful day because I think people should only speak honestly. Good luck Brewpoint staying in business. Great spot to hang out or get work done. Came here with my friends on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done. I love that they try to be more environment friendly by asking patrons to drop off the sleeves in a bin so they can recycle them. If you're trying to get work done the front was loud for that, but they have a back room with around 7 tables that was more quiet. Downside of the back room in winter was It was drafty from all the windows. If you're not there to do work, they have a bunch of board games you can play. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and a white mint matcha and I added oatmilk (may be a seasonal drink). I liked the slightly sweet flavor, but I couldn't taste any mint. I would order this again if they added this to their regular menu. The croissant I wouldn't order again since it fell very short on flavor. My friend ordered the Bartholomew which had a slightly nutty taste. She liked it so much she ordered another one later in the afternoon. read more

A big round of applause for the Brewpoint team. They do not get enough credit for how diligent and hard-working they are. With everything going on in the world, they are doing everything they can to stay open. Not only for themselves, but for the community. During this time, they have had a walk-up window open for the public to order their coffee/lattes/etc. Not only that, they have started to sell "Care packages", which I think are amazing. For $35, you get two bags of coffee, an oat milk, and a syrup. In my opinion, this is a great deal! And even better, the proceeds go to their employees that are currently out of work. Not only does Brewpoint make an amazing latte & roast the highest quality beans, they do everything they can for the PEOPLE. Their saying is, "Build a better world" and doing it through coffee. Well, I really think they are doing a fantastic job. My drink recommendations: Bartolome, ALWAYS. This is the perfect latte and they are known for this drink. Other honorable mentions: Any drip coffee is always good, I tried the Vespucci today and it was divine. Honestly, any of the signature lattes will be good and it will just depend on what your preferred flavor is. Supporting small business is important. I stick by this very strongly.
