I am in extremely envious of people who live in Elmhurst, who get to enjoy Brewpoint Coffee whenever they'd like. This coffee shop is nestled in the downtown area by the train tracks and is great for those who have to commute to work or school. This coffee shop is very cozy when you get inside (my favorite spot to have coffee in is the little nook). They have such a variety of coffee and tea that there is for sure something that will tickle your tastebuds at Brewpoint Coffee. I love that this is a local business and their story that tells how they created the concept of Brewpoint is unique. Their signature lattes are truly the best around - from the Amelia Earhart, Bartolome, Lewis & Clark and Marco Polo you will sure find a signature latte that meets your coffee needs. If coffee just is not your cup of tea (sorry bad pun) they do offer tea as well. They also have a case of goodies to satisfy any sweet tooth which is great during a morning run into Brewpoint. I have never been here during a day in the spring or summer when it is warm enough out - but they do have a cute little set up outside should you have your pooch along with you, you can sit with them outside. Parking is limited due to street parking, however, the parking garage is not too far away so it is never a hassle. read more

You can tell this is a good spot, 8:45 on a Friday and it is very busy, becoming packed actually. I appreciate that BPC has; traditional and non-traditional dairy substitutes (Try the Vegan Oaty-Milk!), a big-but-not-too-overwhelming selection of lattes, and it is all neatly written out for you on the chalk boards. They also have a seasonal drink menu, wonderfully posted on the wall menu and on a sign at the 'order-here' counter. Springs' drinks had me enjoying the 'Dark Rose Mocha', Summers' list, I cant get away from the Smokey Mocha. The staff is friendly, quick and helpful. read more

I had bookmarked this place maybe a whole year ago but since it's about 30 minutes from my house, I hadn't made the trek to Elmhurst. I was on my way to Elmwood Park with my kids, and while I was reviewing the directions, I noticed that Brewpoint was only a 5 minute detour. SOOOO - I did it. And I firmly regret not coming here sooner. Yes, there are a LOT of great coffee shops who serve great quality cups of coffee popping up all over the city & burbs. But this will definitely be one of my top favorites from now on. They have seasonal specials and with it being Fall, they have the most amazing Fall-themed selections! I tried the Fireside Latte and it was perfect for the cool-ish but sunny day. It's described on the website as "a light twist of spices and marshmallow, milk, and espresso." That "twist of spices" actually meant a SPICY twist and I absolutely loved it. It was enough of a kick to warm me up, but only enough to do so. The rest of the flavors complement the spice very well. My kids also enjoyed their frozen hot cocoa (because they're way too dramatic for "HOT" cocoa) in the appropriate "kid size" (and kid friendly pricing) while we watched the trains go by. I wasn't here to work or focus much, but I will say that if I were, I would have found it a little difficult at 5pm when I visited. The crowd was an "after school hang out" group of students who were there to socialize, not study. And that's okay, but I feel that Yelpers who are looking to get some Wi-Fi filled focus need to know this. I discovered this cozy spot shortly after moving to the area, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and there is plenty of space to sit, including a great "reading nook" area with books and comfy cushions. Their food selection is good, and if you can get there early enough you can snag an amazing donut. I also really like the merchandise they offer - I'm a sucker for supporting local coffee shops, and shirts or mugs with the brand is definitely a great way to do that! I am a coffee enthusiast and I like to try to find a coffee shop that roasts their own beans in every town I go to for work. Thankfully, I found Brewpoint Coffee. I tried their Ethiopian coffee and it was perfectly roasted and extremely fruity. I also ordered a scone and asked them to warm it up and it was delicious and super soft, not dry like you can run into often at some coffee shops. I did have to wait a long time and remind them about the scone, but they were EXTREMELY busy so I don't expect that to happen every time. Overall, I'd go back and keep trying their roasts and bakery items because everything was top tier! read more

If you are here for coffee then it's a great place. If you are here for any pastries or anything else then it is not great. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I did I swear. I love me a place that makes good coffee drinks and has good pastries. Unfortunately that was not the case. I ordered a chocolat croissant that was three times the size of regular croissants. First sign of "oh crap" it is about quality guys not quantity. The simplicity of the croissant is what makes it delicious. Second sign of "oh crap" are the flakes that fell off the croissant as soon as I held it. Flakes were kinda dry which is probably why they fell right away. Then as soon as I bit into my chocolat croissant that was supposed to be warmed by the way but it was at room temperature, I find dry and hard chocolate. What a disaster of a pastry. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS CAFE! This little gem is located in downtown Elmhurst walking distance from the train tracks. This is a great location with tons of parking - at least I had to issue finding any :) This is a cozy café with tons of stare at. There is a community board of the happening, Brew Point merch, tons of space to move around...there is a garden room there as well. It is something out of a book- very very cute! But most importantly, there is a printer to send docs to! This is what keeps the students at Elmhurst College coming back. That is a huge huge perk! Wish more places would do just that! The baristas are kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the drinks. I was told to try The Bartholomew (Signature Drink - Espresso with a nutty base, coconut almond milk, pinch of half and half, and marshmallow syrup. I paired that with a pistachio donut. Both were delicious! The donuts are from The Donut Drop in Schaumburg! Never a disappointment from the Donut Drop. Brewpoint Coffee is a go-to if you want to grab a quick morning/afternoon beverage or want to relax and be productive. Given this was my first time at Brewpoint, I (randomly) ordered both a lemonade and a pumpkin spice latte to try both a coffee and non-coffee beverage. Both drinks were excellent! The lemonade was perfectly tart, and the PSL was one of the smoothest tasting I have ever had - much better than Dunkin' or Starbucks as this one tasted like drinking a liquid pumpkin pie slice compared to drinking pumpkin-flavored coffee. My friend who lives in Carol Stream and I were looking for a place to meet for coffee that was halfway between her neighborhood and my home in Chicago. We found this highly-rated caffeine spot via Yelp and planned to meet here on a Sunday in January at noon. There's plenty of free street parking and parking spots within walking distance, and since it was the weekend, I was surprised to find about 3-4 open spots right in front of the building. Brewpoint was busy, and all of the tables in the front half of the shop were occupied, but there was a smaller seating area in back where two tables were open. It was very quiet back there, but I don't think it's meant to be a silent study room or anything. At the last minute, a big table in front opened up, so I claimed it and ordered coffee for my friend and I: She wanted a house roast with vanilla flavoring, and I ordered the Bartolome, which is a latte with cinnamon and honey. Both of those together cost about $8, plus a $1 tip per drink. The baristas were attentive and super sweet, and there were three different types of stickers at the counter as well, so I snagged one of those, of course! My latte was ready in less than 4 minutes, and was served in a reusable mug. Yay, eco-friendliness! The atmosphere in here was extremely warm and welcoming, there was plenty of seating, and it never got insanely loud. An adorable little coffee shop in downtown Elmhurst, located across from the train station, making it a perfect stop for commuters. The space is very cozy and inviting. Tufted couches and open front windows for train watching. The shop was decorated lovely for the holidays. There was a bookcase filled with board games which made me want to stay even longer. People getting work done, friends catching up, families with little ones grabbing morning bagels. They host "Mommy & Me" groups as well as live music on selected Fridays. A place for everyone and definitely a joint I would frequent if I lived nearby. Pour overs, La Colombe, seasonal lattes and a great selection of teas. Lavender Chai caught my eye!. Non dairy milk available for .75. All of the seasonals sounded pretty delicious! I opted for the "Kugel Latte" made with almond milk. It came recommended by the friendly barista and was pretty fantastic. Coming in at around $5 before tip. That's comparable to what I'm used to paying back home in Philly. Big bagels, a red velvet cake topped with piped cream cheese frosting that had me drooling and donuts from Glazed & Confused too. I recommend a visit here. I've been on this flower kick lately where I want everything to be lavender or rose flavored lol. So I searched rose flavored chai on Yelp and Brewpoint Coffee came up. I was envisioning one of those really pretty chai cups topped with glitter and rose petals, but this wasn't that type of place. They make chais with rose syrup which is still really really flavorful. I loved it and would come back again for it. What I liked best about this business is the environment and ambience. The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining how they make their drinks when I asked. The decor has this rustic interior that makes it feel cozy. And they have a lot of space for you and friends to lounge and to have more personal conversations. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait to try out their coffees. read more

How lucky to have this little gem in Elmhurst! Life has been hectic lately and I seriously have not felt this content in a long time. Sitting enjoying my bartolome specialty latte with a carrot muffin surrounded by maps and books and quiet chatter felt like a warm hug. I needed this. It kind of feels like you are walking into an episode of Friends. Only more charming. I was eyeballing the game shelf while I was there too. Lots of goodies...Scattegories, Apples to Apples and even Office Clue. I LOVE Clue. I had no clue there was an Office edition. I will be back... While I am not personally gluten free, I love that they are GF conscious. So many gf treats including scones, muffins, donuts. The carrot muffin I had today was so moist (I know that word is sometimes gross to people, but I totally mean it in a melt in your mouth way...not a gross way). Happy the carrot muffins didn't have any raisins in there to ruin it. My latte was made with almond coconut milk! Yay for vegan coffee latte! YUM. read more

I mesn they have good coffee, but if they don't appreciate their customers I don't have to keep coming back. All the previous reviews are spot on! Elmhurst is lucky to be home to Brewpoint Coffee. I came in to get some work done on a Friday afternoon after a meeting I had nearby. I immediately fell in love with this coffee shop the moment I walked in. It's super cozy and friendly and just a place you want to hang out at. I especially love that they have a fun corner nook seat with pillows and books to read. I posted up at a bench table in the far back corner and ordered an iced green tea ($3) which was delicious. I love that so many local businesses are now using the square/ipad flip screen to charge folks. It's super easy and I love being able to quickly select my tip amount. I was on a tight deadline with work to finish before diving into my weekend, so I ended up sitting there for 4 hours! This of course means they have fast and free wifi, which is a must. I eventually got a little hungry, so for my hard work I indulged in a chocolate frosted chocolate donut. YEP. Pretty much speaks for itself, but it was awesome. Parking near Brewpoint is pretty simple. Keep in mind that the spots out front are only 3 hour parking though! I was so caught up in my laptop and tea that I failed to remember this, which scored me a nice little $25 ticket from the city of Elmhurst. Wah wahhh. That definitely won't stop me from coming back to Brewpoint Coffee though! I look forward to posting up here with a nice beverage again sometime soon. read more

This place, despite its excellent location, has changed hands at least four times since it first opened as a coffeehouse. I don't know why, but I hope Brewpoint can make it work. They have a philosophy of exploring the world that comes through the decor, the names of the drinks, and even the news feed on the wall screen. They have speciality drinks named after explorers and adventurers. I stopped in for a chai to go before a haircut, so I didn't linger, but I did have a couple minutes to look around. The comfy recliners are gone, but the seating looks comfortable enough to sit awhile. They have free wifi, too. I didn't get a great look at the food options, but I did notice they have some treats including gluten free snacks. The drinks menu has all your favorites, plus a few unusual combinations. I got talked into a lavender chai, which I would not have thought of, but you know what? it was good! I drove past it a few times without noticing it, so if you see the bright-pink bicycle sculpture from the street, you're in the right place. Love how convenient the location is to the train station! Opted for the Bartolome- creamy, not too sweet, with coconut almond milk, half and half, and cinnamon. Great on a cool early morning, probably amazing in the winter. W-O-W. If I lived in or nextdoor to Elmhurst, I'm pretty sure I would go here daily. The atmosphere is very cozy and low-key. Previous to walking in to Brewpoint, I had been in a frustrated mood because it had taken me a LONG time to find free street parking. However, after I walked in, all my frustrations melted away because everything was so chill. Luckily, I quickly found a seat, hooked up to the wifi, and ordered drinks. I purchased two chai tea lattes (hot for here and iced to go), an everything bagel with cream cheese, and a little bag of lemon cookies to go. I enjoyed everything I tried, although the toasted bagel w/cream cheese + hot chai tea latte were my favorite of the four menu items sampled. I also want to note that the service was so friendly and prompt. After I finished my bagel, the staff member came over right away to pick up my empty plate. Truly, I can't shout enough praises of Brewpoint! I will definitely be stopping by in the future when I'm next in the area and will recommend it to my friends. read more

This is a cute little coffee shop in downtown Elmhurst across from the train station. I've been here a bunch of times to grab coffee and it's always consistently good. I usually get a latte when I stop in, iced in the summer and hot in the winter. Their seasonal lattes are always fun. The only thing I wish they offered was soy milk for non dairy milk options. They only have almond, oat, or coconut milk which is a lot of options but I prefer soy over anything. I typically order one of their specialty lattes or a vanilla latte with almond milk. Everyone working here is friendly and the cafe is decorated very cutely. It's very cozy and they have a wall full of board games which is fun. If you're looking for an alternative to the usual Starbucks or Dunkin, stop in to Brewpoint. read more
