1st time here, very busy at lunch time but the staff HUSTLES. Friendly and all smiles I was in and out with 2 buddies in 15 minutes. I git a sammie: chicken cutlet, Cheddar cheese, bacon, ranch, and hot sauce on a sub. $12 and change which it on par for the area. The sandwich was good, not great. The cutlets were very thin and a bit dry (too long in the fryer). I really would have preferred more hot sauce and ranch - it was a little dry. Over all the sandwich tasted good and if I went back I would make a request for more sauce. My bud got some fries with his - I tasted one and they were...sub par. Overall it was a good experience for me and I plan on going back for a 2nd visit. I'll let ya know how it went! * Note - although I had a good vibe from all the staff, the male cashier had the personality of a mushroom. When I say thank you, I expect a you're welcome or have a good day. Took a star for that. So this place is amazing! Definitely exceeded my expectations. The prices were reasonable. The selection was out of this world and the service was fast and super friendly. Even though it was packed, it took us longer to make our decision than it took to make the sandwich and get it paid for and get out the door. The third degree burn was outstanding! OK, at first glance you're stepping into a quaint family run deli/grocery that looks like it hasn't changed in 50 years. This is the perfect example of if it ain't broke don't fix it. Their food is amazing. You have never tasted an egg sandwich like theirs because it is overflowing with TLC. Great basic breakfast, anything you can think of. Deli sandwiches are all good. Only reason I haven't tried hot dishes is because I'm usually in too much of a rush and want something I can eat in the car. Eating here reminds me of when I was a little kid playing over at a friends house, and his grandmother insisted I come in the kitchen and have something to eat. read more

Love this place! It's completely changed Since the new owners. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The food is delicious and fresh. (Store made roast beef) so good! They have great hot lunch specials every day. Best of all there prices are reasonable few dollars cheaper then all the rest and the sandwiches are huge! Bacon egg and cheese still comes with two eggs and it's less then all the rest. Give it a shot you won't regret it! read more

Holy Moley! I know I said a few years ago that this place will never change, but it has new owners now. They are making improvements left and right, but also still have the old recipes on hand for all you bracciole lovers. I tested the chicken francese, sausage/peppers, bacon egg n cheese, and italian combo so far and all were good (combo could use a bit of help, will check back soon). I am going to base my review on 1 sandwich that my longtime friend recommended to me. The Italian combo from here is sublime. Order it with the works and oil and vinegar, you won't be disappointed. This place is under new ownership and the food and the service has improved tremendously, I highly recommend to go and get a bacon egg cheese or a have a nice lunch like a chicken Marsala which is amazing. In my opinion the best deli in Putnam county. Or try the pupusas they are great. read more

I have been stopping by most Fridays for years, always ordering a dish of eggplant and a dish of fish. It is always excellent, never greasy because I think it's not fried, but baked /broiled.
