What a gem to find off Rt 84. We were on our way home from our daughter's graduation from Quinnipiac and we still had almost 2 hours to get home. We did a search for food near us on the highway and this restaurant popped up with only 5 miles to go. So glad we stopped. We ordered wraps to go. The gentleman behind the counter was so friendly to talk to while we waited for the food to go. We were also pleasantly surprised to find delicious fries tucked in with the wraps. We really didn't look to see if they came with anything. I also last minute asked for 2 more sandwiches that looked so good in the case so I didn't have to cook dinner when we got home. I went here and felt compelled to make a review. My boyfriend, his son and I got off at a random exit on a drive home and we were all hungry. My boyfriend and his son ordered pizza - spoiler - it was AMAZING - but before they even ate it, I felt compelled to take a few pictures and leave a review. The guy behind the counter was SO sweet and personable and cared so much about his food. They also had lots of "Tell us about your allergy" signs which I thought was very considerate. What a great place to come sit down have a nice meal on a Friday or Saturday probably any day of the week but we like to go on a Friday but we went today. The Lastrada pasta is chicken, mushrooms, onions in a penny à la vodka sauce oh my God it is so good it puts a twist on any penny à la vodka. The waitress is unbelievable. She is so pleasant so happy all the time and gives you everything and anything you could possibly need and stops by all the time asking if we need anything. This place is our go to pizza spot. Just in Brewster there's at least 5 pizzerias so there's a lot around us. We've been coming here since only 2 months after they opened (10 years ago) when we moved to Brewster and the owner, Alex and his brother, has always taken care of us and we've seen him do the same for others. I ordered a Pizza and Hero for delivery on Sunday. The man takes my order and I give him my credit card number to pay for it. I have him read the number back to me to make sure he has it correct. I then ask him to add 5 dollars to it for the tip for the driver. Food comes and was as usual very good. Around 8 PM the restaurant calls me and the man asks why I did not pay the driver. I remind him I gave him my card number had him read it back and asked for the tip be added. He said I did not do that. I repeated it he again said it did not do that. Accusing me of trying to steal a pizza.I have ordered from La Strada many times always with a card. I have no idea why he would lie or accuse me of stealing but he did and it was disturbing. If you cannot trust a restaurant to tell the truth and accuse you of stealing how can you trust them to deliver food? It was vile and nasty and ruined a place that I bought from many times.Simply put you cannot trust these people and it would be insane to trust them with something you were going to eat. I gave him my card again and will never trust them again. I recommend that to anyone who wants to have food delivered. read more

Can't believe i gave these guys another chance. Order pizza for delivery guy tells me 30 mins. 1 hour and 15 mins later the pizza arrives and it's uncooked in the crust - they must jam pack their ovens or bum rush. It was terrible and when i call to complain - guy starts yelling at me saying it's friday night and their are busy-even after he's the one who told me 30 mins from the get go. Anyway they are unprofessional and gavones - the only thing that keeps them in business is they deliver. such a sham! I will convince Gaetano's up the road to deliver and they will be out of business in no time. I try not to write bad reviews but when something is as bad as the dinner my boyfriend and I ordered tonight, you write a review. Food was bland, soggy and canned. We ordered chicken Marsala- they put the chicken and mushrooms with sauce on top of the very very over cooked pasta( basically angle hair mush). Kicker is they went out of their way to ask how we wanted our pasta, and that was definitely not it. Mushrooms and sauce for pepperoni roll both canned and tasteless. I honestly loved this place so much, the bruschetta slice is my absolute favorite. So I drove constantly to go get me one or two. But today ..... I was getting ready to drive to Massachusetts and I stopped in before leaving to grab 4 slices so everyone could eat. Total comes to 17$ , she's goes " it's 4 dollars a slice" ummmm alright. Then they forgot to put the pizza I asked for in the box, remembered last minute and tells me to hang on.... 3 mins later he gives me my two boxes and I leave. I sit down to eat and my pizza is ice fucking cold. They didn't even put it in the oven. Super doughy no crunch nothing. Every time I walk in this place the nice guy behind the counter always greets me. But today ? They all had sour pusses on their faces like they'd rather be anywhere but serving pizza. I get it, it's hot out but damn those mean mugs can scare people off. I honestly should've left but I loved my slice so much I stayed for further disappointment. I've ordered delivery multiple times from here, and the food my family gets ends up being mostly bland. For accurate memory recall purposes, this review will be about our latest delivery. This is just going to be easier to list then paragraph so: 1. for $18, you'd think our orders of shrimp scampi would be better than 5 pieces of buttered shrimp on top of a cooked box of buttered spaghetti (aren't they Italian? Where's the sauce!?) 2. expect to get steak fries with everything (and you aren't offered another choice) 3. the veggie wrap was the most bland thing I've tasted since I last ate school food (again, no sauce/dressing) 4. we ordered cheese fries (didn't know we'd be getting fries with everything) and there was barely any cheese on them which wasn't cool Today was the final chance we gave, and now we're eating elsewhere from this day forward. It's too bad because it was so close. The two positive stars are for service and the good pizzas! Gianni is usually our delivery guy and he's awesome. Called in a pick up order from here today, the woman who answered the phone was nice but didn't seem like she knew how to take an order over the phone? We ordered two kids menu chicken tenders and fettuccine alfredo. They didnt tell us our total over the phone but when we got there it was 32.76... she said the fettuccine alfredo was 14 dollars which makes each 3 piece chicken tender 8 dollars? That's extremely over priced for such a low class place. Also the "honey mustard" is literally just spicy brown mustard.. Ordered a mini penne vodka dish and immediately after I put the fork in my mouth I tasted something different. This is the second time I ordered this dish from here. First time it didn't have bacon. This time unfortunately it did. I called and asked if this dish had bacon and was told that it did. I told the woman on the phone that I do not eat pork and I've ordered it from there before and it didn't have pork. She then says "well the sauce is always made with bacon so if you've had it from here before then you have eaten it with bacon". We continued to go back & forth for a bit. I then asked her if she didn't see this as a problem because I don't eat pork. She said again the sauce is always made with bacon and then I asked her how would I know that? This was the most frustrating place I've ever dealt with. I placed an order online at 6:09 I received a text from them confirming that I was who I said I was at 6:10 at that point it said my order would be ready to pick up in 20 to 35 minutes I went at 6:45 the first time and they told me it was going to be at least another 10 minutes there was no one in the restaurant. Since I live a block away I went home and went back after the 10 minutes because I was told it was ready and walked in only to have the girl run to the back to hide from me and the owner to meet me and say why are you angry you ordered at 6:30 I said no I ordered it 609 and it said it should be ready he took a piece of paper with the order on it off and handed it to me and pointed at the time on it and said yeah I guess I'm wrong. I told him I would never do business with him and I could not ever in my right mind give them my money. If i can give 0 stars i would. Worst Pizzeria in brewster and I am not exaggerating . I called at 4:15 on Halloween for a pizza delivery. The girl who took order said it would be about an hour which was fine. So 5:45 rolls around, still no pizza. I called back and asked the status and her reply was sorry its still here. I said ok, How much longer and was told 20 min, ok fine. So this 20 turns into another 40 minutes. So I call back and now obviously the girl didn't know what to say to me so of course the owner gets on and i said i have been waiting for 1 large pie for almost 3 hours!! His reply was "be patient its busy". I said are your serious?!? i think 3 hours is patient enough!! So he said it should be delivered in 5 min. I said ok. I waited 15 more minutes and had it. I left to take my kid trick or treating since now its 7:15!! Trust me, their food aint worth waiting 3 hours for. So i leave and La Strada calls me back and tells me driver cant find my place meanwhile they delivered to my address before! I said listen, you now can keep it and i will never order from u again!! Told him he needs better planning, rather than telling customers to be patient and they are busy. Side note, my neighbor ordered from Another pizza place and got his pizza in 45 minutes!!!
