The Farmhouse is the perfect spot for down home comfort food that is a few steps above your mom's home cooking. I've been there several times and had several things from their menu -- the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, the smashburger special, the turkey gobbler (which is probably one of the top 5 sandwiches I have ever had in my entire life. I am not kidding). Everything they make is delicious, and I understand that their meat products are hand made/hand sourced by the family who owns the restaurant. The ice cream is great, too, even in the winter! Very easy to make things into a meal -- $7 added to any item for fries, a drink, and a cookie. Service is great. Warm, friendly, thoughtful. Even when packed on the weekends, there's plenty of help to go around, and the tables are always clean. I love that this is a family operation with family food! Ambience is also nice. Decorations are farmhouse themed, and the owner sells wreathes and artwork that are holiday themed and from a customer. They decorate the walls; on the tables, there's always a really cute centerpiece. At the time of this review, the centerpiece is St Paddy's themed, and while they are handmade, they are so charming and add so much to the table. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. I cannot recommend The Farmhouse in Patterson, NY, highly enough; only wish I could give more than 5 stars for this wonderful little gem on RTE 22. The owners have spent as much attention to providing a comfy and homey atmosphere to the attention they have spent in providing a varied and delicious menu. A friend and I stopped Friday night, having absolutely no idea what to expect; to be honest, it was the name (The Farmhouse) that caught our attention. We entered a bright and tastefully decorated restaurant (reminds you of a renovated barn) that offers brilliantly created hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza and even, vegan offerings. You step into what you have thought is a long-forgotten world where restaurant owners actually CARED about YOU! All we had to say was, "Hi, we have never been here before," and Nancy (owner) became our best friend, helping us decide what to order and telling us about the many various options to each order. Friday night we ordered the Grilled Buttermilk Chicken sandwich that came to our table, served on warm brioche buns, accompanied by french fries and a chocolate chip cookie for desert. Notice, I said, "Friday night?" That is because, my friend and I were so appreciative of The Farmhouses's food as well as the service we received, we returned the very next day with two others (my husband and another good friend). New place in Patterson NY. Someone finally took over / bought the eyesore that was the vacant King Kone Treats. Farmhouse is beautiful inside all brand new - new floor, nice light fixtures, simple very nice decor. One big thing that turned me off it was over 80 degrees out and humid. There was no AC on or a fan. If the AC was on they needed to turn it up alot. Nothing drives me more crazy then trying to enjoy a meal and Im hot. The food is hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, onion rings, pizza and ice cream for sundaes and shakes. The hot dogs were good with the casings a quality dog. Not big though so I ordered two. My Dad 's their chili. We also got meals that came with fries, a drink, and a yummy cookie. We were also offered a free sample of pizza which was really good. They also had a good crowd for lunch. I will go back again to get a pizza and chili next. read more
