OMG...this is an amazing place. Came here for Father's Day dinner, with my wife and two daughters and what an amazing time we had. We stared with the seafood tower (amazing); I had the veal martini which was delicious, my wife had the special which was fish in a mustard sauce which was delicious, but the stars of the show were the fillet mignon which was a solid 3" thick, and the 45-day, dry aged porterhouse which was simply mouthwatering! We were seated in the atrium, and halfway through the meal, the glass roof started opening!! Next thing you know we had an open view of the sky, and fresh air! It was awesome! So cool watching it open. Not inexpensive by any means, but with food like that, one can appreciate and understand what you're paying for.....not to mention the service, which was impeccable (we had I think 4-5 people serving us throughout the meal, all attentive but not overbearing) with a young man named John, being the lead waiter for us, who was amazing, polite, appreciative and on the ball....we hope to have him as our server again when we return in August. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner on Epiphany. We had heard it was a bit pricey, but since it was a special occasion, we decided to give it a try--and we're so glad we did. This is not your typical Italian restaurant. The food is truly authentic, and absolutely amazing! We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was delicious. All of the pasta is homemade, which really makes a difference in both flavor and quality. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It was decorated so tastefully for Christmas, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were seated in front of the fireplace, which made the evening feel especially romantic. The ambiance is very nice, the services themselves are very kind, the food is alright, but the management failed the restaurant. On Valentine's Day, I made a reservation for 8:15 and arrived 10 minutes early. Tell me why it took 20 minutes to get "checked in" only to be told to wait another 10-15 minutes at the bar for the table. After ANOTHER 20 MINUTES ON TOP OF THE 15 THEY ASKED US TO WAIT, we were seated, and immediately put our order in. At 10, we didn't even have our appetizers. At 10:30 we decided to leave. Will not be returning, if I make a reservation, I expect to be served timely, don't take on more than you can handle. Went on a double date to Rraci after hearing nothing but good things about this Italian restaurant. Place was bustling and looked very sheik inside. The minute you walk in, you can tell you are going to be eating and experiencing high end dining. All of the servers did a wonderful job managing our table. We wanted to try the Spiedino Romana as neither of us have ever tried it before and it was delicious. A must try. The capers, sauce, cheese and crispy fry on the corners of the Spedini, makes this appetizer a flavor explosion. My best friend ordered the Pollo Scarpariello and really enjoyed his dish. My wife ordered the Pappadelle in a duck ragu and said it was absolutely delicious. I ended splitting spaghetti carbonara and Pollo e Salsiccia with best friends gal as we were on the same page with wanting to have both. The carbonara was creamy and just excellent. The sauce on the chicken and the spice of the cherry pepper made this dish really hit home. We ordered some espresso and my wife had her usual favorite creme brulee. Food was on the money. For anybody wanting to check out this fine establishment, I recommend ordering apps and sharing as the portions are not super filling but can hold you over as the wait for the entrees can take some time at this place. Very happy with the experience and we are lucky to have such fine dining around the Danbury area. This restaurant has the people of Danbury and Brewster area eating well. Finally came here after years of driving by wanting to go. Very classy traditional Italian restaurant. Greeted as we walked in and sat immediately for our 5:30 reservation. Loved the dark tones and red lighting, perfect for date night. I also noticed they had an outdoor area which I would love to try in the spring/summer. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the mozzarella appetizer and I like how they split it into two separate plates for me and my husband. For dinner I got the carbonara and it was phenomenal!! I ate the entire plate. We had dinner with another couple who had recommended Rraci's. We sat in the atrium which is very pretty and bright. The actual restaurant is very dark. Unfortunately, on the night we were there the ordering system was down, so service was disorganized. Also, we were never sure who our server was, because different servers came to our table all evening. The orders of fried artichokes were good, but very small. Three of the four entrees arrived, but not my husband's. He kept urging us to start so our meals didn't get cold. Since he and I ordered the same dish, we moved my plate between us and shared until we could get the missing dish. We waited a few minutes before we could get a server's attention. The missing meal came out quickly - too quickly - because the 4 pieces of broccoli on the plate were almost raw, and the fish was undercooked. One of our friends never received the salad she ordered. We had secured a reservation at a high-top in the bar, which is our preferred seating regardless. We watched the parade of food from the kitchen, a crowded bar with servers juggling drinks and managers hugging patrons. It was such a festive and warm setting that we were happy to witness. The restaurant has been updated with the addition of an impressive atrium overlooking a beautiful garden/water feature....and we can talk without yelling now! We had heard amazing things about Rraci's and were really excited to eat there. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the hype. The service was just OK to not OK. Not once during our 2.5 hour dinner did they fill our water glasses, which were empty. Also, each time they took our plates from a finished course, they took the knives and did not remember to replace them. We waited patiently for a server to come by so we could ask for a replacement knife to eat our next course, and after 10 minutes, we finally got up to find a server so our food did not get any colder. I ordered fish served on a plank, and it was so dry I had to put the truffle aioli from the truffle fries (which were yummy) on top of the fish so I could actually eat it. Also, included with my fish were mashed potatoes and vegetables, however, I am not exaggerating when I tell you that there were only 4 tablespoons of potatoes on my plate. As a Westchester-rooted foodie who moved to CT 20 yrs ago and has been fortunate to dine at top NYC steak houses and other fine restaurants, this is such a pleasant surprise to have practically in my backyard (!) The venue itself is reminiscent of a traditional, high end steak house, with dark wood paneling throughout. The maitre d and staff in suits or crisp white shirts and suspenders. There's no question about what type of dining experience one is about to embark on, yet diners can wear whatever they are comfortable in. Some guests appear to be regulars and are greeted with friendly 'Bonna cerra' and kiss on the hand, some guests are in jeans, and others in suit jackets. We were celebrating an anniversary and so a little on the dressier side. I felt perfectly comfortable amongst the crowd-- and it was crowded(!) We made reservations a few weeks in advance for a Saturday night and the parking lot as well as restaurant were completely packed. Despite the crowd, we were seated within 5 minutes and immediately were brought bread and asked for preference of water. Drink orders were taken very shortly afterwards. Servers were highly attentive and timing between courses was perfect- didn't feel rushed and were never longing for the next course. The food-- exquisite presentation and my lobster cocktail and lamb chops were executed to perfection. My husband had Caesar salad and a porterhouse. I don't think I ever saw the salad as it was pretty much devoured before I could snap a pic. Medium rare for the porterhouse and was prepared just right. The filet could easily rival some of the top 'well known' restaurants. Apart from the filet, the rest of the porterhouse was slightly less impressive than some of the name brand venues however still quite good. Having now discovered this gem, we will definitely be returning. It was a little cooler out (late Sept) and we sat inside however after dinner found a beautiful patio overlooking a cascading waterfall in the back. 10/10 dining experience. They set up an ice stand and were consistent with making sure our glasses were full. We enjoyed the fresh fried calamari and I have to say it's the best I've ever had. For our main dishes, we had the carbonara and branzino which was the fresh catch of the day. The fish was perfectly flaky, garlic green beans and buttery mashed potatoes tied it all together. While I'm not usually a carbonara fan, it was recommended as the best pasta by the server. It was creamy and the touch of truffle was delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our meal here and I am someone that rarely goes out for Italian food. (give me Indian or Thai any day). Started out with some cocktails the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives hit the spot. For apps we got the carbonara and a mozzarella/proscuitto dish with an anchovy caper sauce. Both were divine. I had some FOMO about not getting the artichoke app from the specials list so I ordered that to come with our entrees and it was also delicious! Entrees we had chicken scarpiello and veal martini. The green beans and mashed potatoes on the side were a nice touch and I felt good getting some vegetables in. I saved part of my entree to leave a little room to split a dessert - tiramisu. Portions were on the smaller side which I honestly liked as we got to sample many different things without getting too full. Service was just right- checking in and filling waters timely and no big gaps between courses. $235 with tax and tip for all that food and 3 drinks (total) I thought was reasonable for a nice night out. THIS PLACE is extremely phenomenal from decorations, to staff, to bartenders, to the delicious food. As soon as we arrived everything was beautifully lit, the entrance is elegantly decorated, and you are greeted by your coat checker, followed by your host. We were seated by the windows and Xmas tree. The ceilings are vaulted and the lighting is beautiful. Our view of outside was just magnificent for the time of the year. We had several appetizers, and ordered different bottles of wine (ordered Amarone, and cakebred cellars). I ordered the lamb chops they were amazing - you could taste a little bit of the lamb, a little bit of rosemary, a little bit of pepper, garlic, - it was a perfect balance. The dose for me was huge. One of my GF's had the same as I did and another had one of their ravioli specials and she devoured it and then came for our lamb chops . The guys ordered: filet mignon covered in mushroom sauce, osso bucco and steak which was cooked over a piece of stone done at the table. We finished dinner with espressos, cappuccino, apple tart, and creme brûlée and it was one of the creamiest I've had in a long time. In overall, this place is alluring. Will be back at a different season. I will finish by saying: $$$$-if you are on a budget you have to be cautious spending here. Everything adds up fast and quickly. Well last night we had a Bday meal with 5 people and it's changed and hope it was an off night. 3 of us had the veal sorrentino and there were 3 small pieces of veal with a tiny serving of mashed potatoes and the service was off a bit too. For what they are charging they should not be playing the portion game as this will be the beginning of the end for them. They had a beautiful expansion added to the restaurant and said to my sister i hope this doesn't change anything but unfortunately i think it's happening. Rraci's is right over the CT border in Brewster, NY. It's only a one hour drive to get there from Hartford and let me tell you- if you go there for one thing...it should be their Souffle Dessert with Creme Anglaise! I had originally seen on Yelp someone write they had a Raspberry Souffle there and the picture looked great! I had to try it! It wasn't listed on their menu, but it was indeed a special. There were two flavor options on Saturday night: Strawberry or Chocolate. Strawberry it was! So good. Piping hot. Airy and Delicious. I can not wait until the next time I go there for another. Dessert talk aside. For dinner, there was a scallop/potato pancake appetizer that was amazing. I ordered the Barbabietola Salad- ruby and golden roasted beets, goat cheese and arugula. Yum!! Main course: Pollo Scarpariello- boneless white chicken, hot sausage, roasted red peppers and white wine. So good!!! It was a total hit and not too far of a drive. Classy spot. A terrible experience. Made reservations for two for a birthday and waited over 30 minutes just to receive menus (and it required asking three times to two different people just to finally get them). Food took forever after that to come out as well. Service was simply slow. The wine menu was not at all what we would expect from an upscale establishment. People waiting for tables spill out of the bar into the dining area and it's a huge space with many tables. My wife took me to dinner @ Rraci's tonight for my B-day. Service was very good, food was very good but when we received the bill we were charged two different prices for my cocktails. The bill listed Kendricks gin @ $21 & $19. I had ordered Beefeaters. Hendricks is a premium spirit compared to Beefeater. We asked our server, Mike, to adjust the bill, and he averaged the price to $20 for each drink. My wife and I dine out once a week on average. I was an outside salesman for 37 years and had more meals in restaurants than I would care to count. We know that restaurants enjoy good profits from the alcohol they serve, but in this case I think Mike missed the opportunity to make things right. read more

Food is average for your price point. The men in our group were disgusted to receive a tablespoon of potatoes as their side. Utterly ridiculous and disingenuous of you. If you can't serve an adequate side dish then why not just go 'a la carte ' and at least serve a normal portion of food. read more
