We were seated upon arrival and greeted by several employees. The employees seemed to share the dining area rather than serving a designated section. Each of the employees greeted us warmly and efficiently delivered our meals. Trivia note: If you are there for trivia, sit on the side closer to the main door (furthest from the dart boards) otherwise you will not be able to hear the questions. So close by where we live that we could walk. But this is our first time dining here. What a cute little bar/pub. It's St Patrick's Day and I do love to have a green beer. They did not disappoint. And it was only $3.50 !!!! This made me very happy. We both had the Reuben's. One Turkey and one pastrami and we traded halves. I eat a lot of Reuben's and these did not disappoint. It's bar food. We checked this place out for lunch and had an okay experience. I started off with a Foothills Hoppyum, the draft list was good. Next it was the BLT with a slice of cheese and a side salad for me and the house salad with chicken for my husband. The service was good but the food was just okay. All around, a great place to drink, eat, and spend time with friends. The food is outstanding for bar food, the service is awesome with very prompt and friendly staff, and a great atmosphere with outside seating, games, good games on TVs, and wide selection of beer. We stopped here on the way out of town. I just couldn't eat Chick-fil-A one more time (the only fast food I'll eat). It's a large place with pool tables, darts, and other games. Its full of TVs and I imagine would be a fun place to watch football. We sat at the bar and the service was good. This seems to be a local hangout which I always take as a good sign. The best thing about this place? They have potato skins!!! Yay!!! Nobody serves these anymore and they are literally one of my favorite things to eat. We liked this place and imagine we'd be there more often if we lived closer. Also, they don't have outrageous prices. We visited here first time two days ago. Nice staff. Big place with pool tables. Large bar and also tables with tall stools. The beer selection is very good. But, mixed results on food. My hubby had chicken wings and they were fairly tasty, but not outstanding. I had a quesadilla that was tasteless. It badly needed seasoning or sauce. And the flour shell was too thick and also no oil or butter.... No evidence that it was heated in a pan... like microwaved. We will try again later. read more

This place has your typical bar food, I can't complain about it but at the same time it wasn't anything special. The menu is rather small, it seems like burgers and wings are their main staples. I should have probably gotten the wings since the reviews for those looked promising, but I got the b e l t c h Burger instead, it was okay but I definitely wouldn't order it again. The burger patty itself was for the most part flavorless and the ham really overpowered the taste of the burger. I like the waffle fries but there wasn't enough on the plate. I would definitely go back here, but I don't think I would order a burger again. They have a very large outdoor seating area, if you like that kind of thing. read more

Came here on a Monday night to celebrate an anniversary and wanted a place that was open late. There were a variety of people playing games inside and a few people sitting out on the patio. We sat on the patio and ordered some wings and drinks. The staff was very attentive and super sweet. We stayed out there for a while enjoying the night and then made our way inside to play pool. The place is very clean and they were actively spraying and wiping surfaces throughout the place. The wings were delicious and they have lots of yummy flavors to try. Came here yesterday because I just wanted to do some day drinking. The bartender was nice and very attentive . We order the jar cocktails and went to play some pool. Everything was fine except two things. The drinks were weak and on the receipt if you pay with cash it is less but if you use your card they charge you an extra tax. Brewsters recently opened in an area off Hwy 64 that's relatively devoid of places to escape the traffic and grab an adult beverage. Occupying a space formerly a restaurant, Brewsters now bears little resemblance to what it was. It looks and feels much larger when you walk in. Maybe it's because they kept the large windows to let in light during the day and because everything is still new and shiny. The bar is in the traditional u-shape with the dart boards and some tables on one side and regular tables on the other. There's a really nice selection of draft micro brews including seasonals along with the standards in bottles. The food is typical bar food at typical bar food prices. I thought the grilled cheese was a little pricey for what it was, but the kitchen did an okay job on the burgers my friend and I ordered. Brewsters still hasn't had its grand opening yet; so I expect the small kinks will work themselves out and leave a nice neighborhood bar that'll lead me to change this to a four-star place. This time is one of those where I wish Yelp had half stars. Brewster's Pub is a strong 3.5 stars, a solid place for a lunch option around the Cary/Apex area. Relatively new in the Lake Pine area (behind La Cocina), it has taken the space of the old Courtney's that was there. My experiences have been for lunch, so I have not had the evening experience yet to compare to. Going in, it's very wide open with lots of space. Minimalist but clean nice seating with tables and then stools around the horseshoe shaped bar. Lots of sports related wall decor and about 7 TVs scatttered about the place, most around the bar. There are 6 dart boards over on the far wall from where you enter. Definitely pub feel. The staff have always been very helpful, positive/upbeat beginning when you walk in and take a seat, and that is the big plus here. Food wise, they have the standard pub/bar type food available. The burgers are pretty decent. They have a good cup o' mac n cheese when you are in the mood. The turkey reuben is not bad either, I've had that a couple of times. Bonus in that they offer waffle fries as well as homemade fried chips. Gotta like some waffle fries. Another point: they have a "lunch rewards" program where you get a card punched each lunch visit and after the 7th visit, the card says it can be redeemed for a free lunch. There has been somewhat of a wait to get lunch out to me, particularly my last time stands out where I had to get it done and go to get back on time to work. For lunch, I think the "order out" time needs to be a bit more on the ball. There have been hiccups such as the credit card machine going belly up, etc. and I know we are at the mercy of technology (believe me) but it's pretty hard to get done and get back when you deal with those types of things. I will say the wait staff was incredibly nice and accommodating during these times, and as I have said before this item is their big plus. My server made it the best she could while dealing with such hiccups, thumbs up to her. Bottom line: Definitely 3.5 stars here. Solid lunch food type options in a pub like atmosphere. Wait staff positive and upbeat, great. A few hiccups here and there but still on my list as a regular lunch option in the Cary/Apex area. read more

First time here and unfortunately I was disappointed. We were looking for something to do and saw they had trivia on Tuesday and the reviews were very good. Maybe we just went at a bad time, but here's how it went for us. First we didn't have a very friendly greeting and then we received 1 menu for 4 people, appetizer arrived still cold in the middle, no napkins, no silverware, no condiments, husband ordered medium burger but it was well done, then check was split wrong twice... food was great ok. Service was fair, but I think there were only 2 servers and it was busy, so I'm sure they did the best they could. read more

Won $50 a week ago from them, have the number and everything on the certificate but lost the certificate during the loss of my dog. Guy on the phone said we can use the number no problem, everyone there knows me. Manager took it back and said no, and was EXTREMELY rude and making rude remarks over the phone. Let me start with the most important part of our visit- Food Poisoning. 5 of us went to Brewster's for dinner with the intention of playing pool after having dinner but were told after our meal that we weren't allowed to use the pool table on dart league night. We love Brewster's! Not only is it locally owned but it's not an obnoxious place. I'm not a fan of pubs/bar+restaurants where people are getting sloppy drunk. The staff is always nice and friendly. Brewster's is a great balance. Funny thing, everytime I order a french dip from any place but Brewster's I'm disappointed because theirs is so good! Brewster's style wings are also delicious! This week my team at work came in for lunch and just posted up at a table to finish the day out since they have wifi as well. Get the chicken wings now! Their double-fried wings are incredible and we keep going back for them. I cannot get them out of my mind. My only recommendation is to get a little sauce on the side, because sometimes the second fry can take some of the heat out of the sauce. We also come here for drinks, karaoke, and darts. We visited Brewester's earlier this week and really enjoyed the burgers, the bartender was very friendly and the patrons were interesting to chat with. When the bill arrived I noticed there will be a $1.24 surcharge on the bill if you use a credit card. I do not carry cash so I used my credit card. When the receipt arrived, the surcharge was $1.42 - no I did not reverse the digits. At that point I no longer cared since I do not agree with their credit card policy. The prices on the menu were no bargain so they did not lower their prices because of their credit card policy. Time for Brewester's to realize they live in a cashless society. My husband and I were out and about yesterday (a Sunday) and thought we'd stop in for a drink and a bite to eat. They were jammed with football fans we thought "oh no this won't be good" but we sat down and ordered beers anyway. They arrived promptly, we ordered food and it also arrived promptly. Waitress (she was also bartending!) was lovely, Bartender (maybe the manager?) went by and asked how we were doing and we said great, we asked for a side item and he promptly brought it. Nice little neighborhood bar in Cary on the Apex side! I've been wanting to check out Brewster's for awhile now after I heard it was owned by the same folks as Mac's Tavern. I've always loved the staff and atmosphere at Mac's and was hoping this place would be similar. Well guess what it is. The bar is setup similar in a u-shape so you can easily see everyone around you while your seated. I was immediately greeted by the friendly bartender and ordered up my vodka soda. I was just stopping by with a friend for a quick drink so I didn't have a chance to check out the menu or taste the food but I've been hearing good things so I'll be back for another "food" visit soon. There is a large patio outside that will be nice in the warmer weather. Plenty of tables to fit a crowd and TVs all around to catch the game. They seem to have a good group of regulars here already which is a good sign. Definitely a family friendly space as well. Easy parking and convenient to Cary Parkway and 64. I'll update this review soon once I get back here for a full experience. But for now I consider it a great pub to grab a drink. read more

I dropped off my boyfriend and some friends earlier tonight after celebrating a long time friend of ours coming into town to visit, an engagement, and another friend having a baby. It had been a wonderful night with friends until I just got a call that everyone was kicked out and cut off after ordering only 1 beer and shot. They are a loud and fun group of people but in no way was anyone in a state of needing to be cut off. It was very unclear why this happened, but a member of the staff told my boyfriend to "stay in downtown Raleigh" (where we live) --and I can assure you that we will. I grew up in Apex right down the street from this place and I will be sure to tell my family and friends not to patronize this establishment.
