    Beer Flight
    Catelin D.

Good price for an expansive flight like this. I'm not a beer drinker like that so It's great I could just try darker lagers and IPAs this way. I got this food and the best quesadilla my coworker and I ever tried from the taco man in the back. It was delicious. Service: ok. Ambiance: stiff crowd at the bar, but alas

I mean brew house special yes! Nice hidden gem! First time coming! Love the vibe, with live music, the atmosphere and the alcohol selection is very good! Quick and easy service. Food and or snack would be ideal to make it a perfect 5 stars!

We were drinking in Burbank and was recommended to visit Brewyard. Fredo the Bartender was great! Very helpful and friendly! They have a good selection of Beer, something for everyone! I recommend the Ube Wan.

Great beers (I enjoyed the FilAm lager and ube flavored beer) but my group found the venue warm. Not too bad, but it would have been more comfortable with some AC.

Went here because we were excited about Filipino/Japanese flavors and also that the brewery uses Alameda Malt from Admiral Malting! Went when they opened, was able to order food but they usually have food trucks when they are open. Tried their sushi rice and other light beers and really liked the Ube Wan IPA! Great outdoor space, lots of fun games for kids of all ages, and it's got a great vibe! Service was helpful, and they have tasters and pints, and beer for sale!

Alley type parking lot. Great service, friendly and attentive. Good variety of beers. Food vendors, live music. Plenty of seats. What more could you ask for?

I heard of this place because I was at the Filipino market and I noticed that their brewery was in Glendale. I loved that they infused Filipino flavors so that definitely piqued my interest. I visited the brewery the following day. There is one bar with indoor and outdoor seating. There seems to be an event here every weekend. It's a great place for families too. They do not have food, but since there are events during the weekend there is usually a fish taco truck.

Cool little spot under the bridge. I love the unique beers they have like Ube Macapuno and Calamansi, which are both Filipino inspired flavors! Represent! The brewery is really chill. There's no food on site but they have a binder with a list of restaurants that deliver here. I like that water is offered "on tap" next to the bar and is self serve. They have board games available along with some deck of cards. My kids enjoyed coloring the walls. Seriously, it's like one of the very few places the kids won't get yelled at for drawing on the walls. The bar guys are super nice and helpful if you have any questions. I'll definitely be back with friends!

My group of friends and I went during the World Cup craziness. We had just come from another bar after the game had concluded and with an hour left before closing the hospitality was still as great as ever! I can imagine how crazy busy they might have been before we arrived but I'm glad the quality of service we received was good. I didn't know what to try and the sweet lady at the register gave me some great recommendations. I went with a seltzer and it was amazing (especially coming from another bar I wanted something light haha & no I was not driving). I will definitely be returning and with a group of friends again because the space is very nice and the vibes were great! Perfect spot for game days or an outing with some buddies. As for parking, it's located in the busy area of Pasadena and centered around a residential area expect to park far or in a parking structure; that means walking! There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. Free Wifi with log-in is a bonus!

The location has plenty of parking and such a great vibe. With all the distillers upstairs and downstairs, the whole place pulls you into the experience the second you walk in. The food is honestly some of the best bar food I've ever had. This is bistro food, not your typical chicken fingers and frozen appetizers. The menu is always changing, which keeps things exciting, and everything feels like it was actually thought through. Service is what makes this place stand out even more. The owners genuinely care about the community. They're constantly popping in, saying hi, checking on guests, and making sure the food is coming out at its best. You can tell they're invested in the experience, not just the business. The ambience is awesome. Great energy, great crowd, and a beer selection that keeps me happy every time. I'm a huge sour beer guy and it's almost impossible to find bars with a solid sour selection, but they always have multiple options on tap, including some they brew themselves. Service: 5/5 Food: 2/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Drinks: 3/5 Prices: 2/5 My group kept hurling rapid-fire requests at the pair of bartenders and they were on top of everything. They kept the food and drinks coming and frequently checked on us so kudos to them. Only obstacle was asking one of them a bunch of menu questions and food recommendations but he is vegan so had no opinions since most of the menu is meat. On to the food. The best things were the hummus/pita starter, and that's about it. The pretzel was ok but all 3 dips were not mustard based so lame. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs. While cutting them they squirted me which I thought was a good sign, but they had no flavor and basically no sauce. There is a fine line between charred and burnt and they started to cross the line, just tasted like burnt charcoal. I doused them in their original BBQ sauce and it actually made them worse; the sauce just tastes like liquid spice and also had no distinct flavor. Can't ruin fries... wrong! They were overly fried and any potato remnants had been cooked away. The coleslaw was not coleslaw, it was just chopped up purple cabbage, totally inedible. Some other food reviews from my coworkers. Fish and chips: dry Fried pickles: where are the pickles Miso cod: not good Bacon burger: also not good Chicken wings: you guessed it I also got one of 3 sour beer options, The Who Likes Orange Soda, which magically tasted like half sour beer half orange soda. It was ok but towards the end I just wished I had gotten a sour beer instead of an orange soda. Considering how poor the food quality is, I'd say the menu is wildly overpriced. The place has a chill vibe, so it's not a bad option to have a beer and watch some sports on TV, but I would highly advise eating before going so you are full and don't make the mistake of ordering food.

Why such a long hiatus? The tap list over the last months just hasn't had anything I've wanted to drink. It's been a lot of repeats of things I've had over and over or beers that just aren't appealing -- or, in many cases, both. The Glendale Tap used to have a fairly good turnover of new brews, but lately, it seems to be in a rut. Imports are pretty much never to be seen -- like everywhere else, sadly. Even out-of-state beers are rare. And on my most recent visit, at least half of the tap list was tapped out. IPAs and sours take up so much of the list -- stouts in the cooler months -- while styles like bitters, milds, (non-India) pale ales, brown ales, bocks, amber lagers, smoked beers, etc., get little to no space on the tap list. I still love the atmosphere of the Glendale Tap, and the bartenders there are the best. Prices are fair, and there's always something at least decent to drink. But I miss those fulsome tap lists with a variety of beer styles from far and wide. More and more, the Glendale Tap is becoming too much like every other beer bar. I know L.A. beer drinkers are extremely parochial with very limited tastes (basically IPA, IPA, IPA, and IPA, with some super sours thrown in), but I would hope the Glendale Tap could return to just a smidgen of its former excellence. Until then, I probably will be visiting biannually instead of bimonthly.
