This rating should really be 4.5 stars. It's a super-friendly brewery with indoor and outdoor seating. I'm a huge Beatles fan, so we came for the sing along on the first Sunday in June. We all had a great time! My husband and his friend found the beers refreshing. My mango seltzer was just okay, and the lack of ciders and ample parking are the reasons for the half-star deduction. This was also on my list of places I've been wanting to try because they released Jollibeer, a beer flavored like Jollibee's Peach Mango Pie. It was actually a collaboration with three Filipino breweries in LA. We really enjoyed the beer here and ended up doing three rounds. Of course we had the Jollibeer, which is a Peach Mango Lager. Their ube-flavored drinks are also really good, so we tried the Ube Macapuno Porter. Their calamansi drinks are amazing too, so we had Lola's Wit, a Belgian Wit with calamansi and coriander. They also have some interesting Japanese beers like Yasuke, a Matcha Black Lager, and Kanpai Krush, a Sushi Rice Lager. I'll definitely be back for more of their great tasting beer. As a bonus, they also have disc golf. One of the employees was really cool and even let us take some discs home. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and I always felt this small brewery was one of the best in the Burbank area. They pour a solid pint here! The service is friendly and respectful. I do appreciate the know-how of the bartender/brewer in their knowledge of the beer they brew here as well. The ambiance is cohesive and family safe. There are plenty of folks from the movie industry kicking back at this place, a trivia night, families hanging out; the vibe is chill here. A Food truck is generally always around. The one downside is their parking situation isn't super big. Their location is basically in a large garage warehouse, but it's very well put together. The expanded available parking in just nearby under the overpass which could use some lighting but it's only a few yards away from the friendly-establishment. Went here because we were excited about Filipino/Japanese flavors and also that the brewery uses Alameda Malt from Admiral Malting! Went when they opened, was able to order food but they usually have food trucks when they are open. Tried their sushi rice and other light beers and really liked the Ube Wan IPA! The outdoor area has a nice setup -- lots of space, casual vibe, and it's easy to relax here for a couple of hours. The Ube IPA was a standout for me, and their lighter beers were clean and easy to drink. Service was generally friendly and quick, though it felt a little disorganized at times. We had a great Sunday afternoon here. My cousin & his wife rented out the brewyard for a handful of hours to host their baby shower. Staff was very helpful & friendly... there was bar seating, high tops, bench seating and some outdoor tables as well. Located along Western Ave in Glendale underneath the overpass. They have lychee and also calamansi hard seltzers for those that prefer that. My cousins and their friends liked the ube macapuno (porter) and the ube wan (ipa). It was a hosted bar but several of my relatives bought some cans to take home There was a food truck that came after the brewyard opened to the public and our event wrapped up. I believe that have rotating food trucks from time to time... Cool space. Nice offerings. We would go back again. Check them out. read more

What a great brewery. Came here for the first time on Sunday afternoon and absolutely enjoyed their beer. Place is located in just about the last place you'd look for a brewery. I drove by the building twice because there's no sign from the street. Simply, turn into the back of parking lot and it's the last garage door on right. You can park inside parking lot and along street. They had both indoor and outdoor sitting. I sat at the bar counter and staff was really friendly. Vintage classic flatbed truck that doubles as table provides cool decorative feature. Live music was terrific, Jimbo Sims was jamming some great blues and folk rock music. There's huge movie screen in back for movie night which is on the last Tuesday of the month. Food vendor, Soledad Sopes was setup outside dishing out delicious food. They also had snacks on hand like peanuts, pretzels, popcorn and beef jerky. I loved the wide variety of beer options. They had IPAs, amber lagers, blond and German ales, plus seltzers for non beer drinkers. Most of the beers were available for tasting, except can ones. I especially enjoyed the Ube Wan IPA and Ube Macapuno Delight. Both beers had hint of ube and flavor profile was on point. I couldn't believe how super smooth the Ube Macapuno Delight was, especially at 8% ABV. This could be dangerous...lol! I could literally pound several in minutes. I can honestly say I didn't try a single beer that I disliked. Great first experience and definitely will be back. read more

Cool little spot under the bridge. I love the unique beers they have like Ube Macapuno and Calamansi, which are both Filipino inspired flavors! Represent! The brewery is really chill. There's no food on site but they have a binder with a list of restaurants that deliver here. I like that water is offered "on tap" next to the bar and is self serve. They have board games available along with some deck of cards. My kids enjoyed coloring the walls. Seriously, it's like one of the very few places the kids won't get yelled at for drawing on the walls. The bar guys are super nice and helpful if you have any questions. Really, fun local brewery. Tasty calmansi lager and tasty ube macapuno IPA. Love how family friendly this place is. The place is on the smaller side but does not detract from the fun. I got hit with a beanbag and my son in law had his glass beer knocked down with a orange cone by a running child that was not supervised by an adult . Cool local brewery spot in Glendale. Love the ambiance of this place! Staff are nice and friendly. The service is very welcoming. There was one server who was so attentive that he saw we had no chairs and brought us chairs quickly. This is a great spot to hang out with friends and grab a few beers. I love that this is a kid-friendly and family-oriented place. They have board games and special events on certain nights. We went on a Friday night, and it was karaoke night. The energy that night was high. Also, the beers were great and tasty. I am impressed by Filipino-inspired flavors. I tried the Ube IPA, and it was delicious and strong, the way I like it. The night we went, they were celebrating their anniversary and introduced more Filipino inspired drinks that were not for sale to the public. I tried the buka pandaan beer. That was my favorite. Another cool brewery in Glendale. Inside is spacious. Plenty of inside seating. A really cool table area using the bed of an old truck. There's also a nice large patio space. This is a great place for groups or a casual date. I came in for some Wednesday beers. The beers were tasty and strong, just how I like em, with some Filipino inspired flavors. I tried the Kalinga Calamansi Pilsner 5%, Citra Bang hazy lager 6.3%, Ube Wan purple IPA 6%, and the Ube Macapuno Delight porter 8.2%. They were all good but the Ube Macapuno Delight was my fav of the bunch. Loved the ube and coconut flavors. I liked it so much I got a couple tall cans of it to go. They only sell a few snacks like chips and peanuts but a food truck does come thru, didn't get a chance to try it this time. The early crowd is super chill and friendly. What if I told you one of the best beers in the city would be found under an overpass? That's exactly where Brewyard Beer Company is...well, I guess that's the entrance to their driveway. Forget blink and you'll miss it, this is buried treasure in a city full of gold. Brewyard Beer Company is a warehouse located somewhere on the border of Glendale and Burbank. For all intents and purposes, it's just a warehouse where they make beer. In theory, there should be nothing special about a warehouse with stills and crates full of hops and other things to make beer with, but Brewyard manages to create its own inviting style. There's a long wood bar...tables and stools...an old timey truck that probably doesn't work anymore? When the sun sets though, the warm lights give the place a nice glow and there's nothing better than sitting around with some friends having a pint or two. Of course, you don't just come here for the ambiance...you come for the beers and their unique beers are some of the best in a city full of craft breweries. Their best beers feature Filipino flavors now just making their way into the mainstream. The Kalinga is such a delightful beer, especially on a warm summer day. It's a pilsner, but features calamansi...think of a lime and a tangerine citrus that looks like a miniature, round kumquat. There's a refreshing tartness to the beer that makes it perfect to eat with whatever food truck is there that night. Ube is another flavor that's making it's way to more and more things now and their Ube Macapuno Delight and Ube Wan IPA are amazing uses of it. If I had a complaint, the beers don't have that comical purple tint you see now on the shelves of Trader Joe's and other bakeries utilizing the purple yam. The Ube Macapuno Delight is their take on a dark lager...chocolatey, coconut notes and the ube gives it a creamy, vanilla like taste. It's not a beer I typically enjoy, but there's a time and place for it. I don't really care for IPAs either, but the Ube Wan is the beer you're looking for. The ube notes balance out the hoppiness of the IPA, which makes it surprisingly drinkable for those who aren't fans of IPAs. The owners of the brewery are of Filipino and Japanese descent and now feature some really good Japanese beers as well. The Kanpai Krush is a delicious rice lager...think Bud Light, but you know...good. If you don't like a fruity beer like the Kalinga, then this is the one to drink on a warm day or the perfect beer to mix into tempuras or beer batters. My favorite beers of theirs was out of rotation the last time I went, but if Morning Joe is on tap, do yourself a favor get it. It's a blonde lager mixed with coffee. It looks like a typical beer, but smells and tastes like a delicious brewed cup of coffee. The Marooned at Sea is another favorite of mine to get...think of a fizzy jamaica/hibiscus tea brewed with sea salt water. When you drink it, it tastes like you're enjoying a refreshing beverage on a misty beach. If you walk up and aren't a fan of the beers I mentioned, feel free to ask whoever's behind the bar for their opinion. Every time I've come here they've been nothing but friendly and knowledgeable of all the beers they have on tap. Just about everything is available as a flight so you can taste everything and decide on getting something else later. If there's one knock I have on the place, it's their parking situation. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy, especially at night. They share a parking lot with a couple other warehouses so parking is restricted during the day...at night, I don't think anyone really cares, but be careful when walking to your car if you happen to park on the street. There's not a lot of street lights and there's weird people lurking around. There's a lot of places in LA to get craft beer, but theirs aren't only tasty, they're also unique. read more

We rented this space out for my daughter's 18th birthday party. It has a really cool rustic bar vibe. He owner was easy to communicate with. Staff were super hospitable and fun. Environment was clean. The bar drinks were a good time. That ube macapuno is so good!!! Highly recommend this place and definitely coming back for the beer and I wanna do kareoke night! My only drawback is regarding "how to get there". There is only one direction to get there, so some people had to drive around until they figured it out. read more

I'm a fan because this is right across the street from my mother-in-law's place AND has Ube flavored beer!! The Ube Porter was MUCH better than the IPA (in our opinion, the IPA was good but we couldn't taste the Ube). Very chill atmosphere and there was a Dodgers game playing on their tvs the last time we were here. We noticed a LOT of people stopping by to grab their canned beers to go! There is plenty of parking, both indoor and outdoor seating available and of course, is dog-friendly. My husband wanted to check out this brewery after trying one of their beers when we were out at another restaurant in the area (Wife & the Somm) and really enjoying it. Driving up to the brewery we weren't sure at first that we were in the right spot. It is tucked under an overpass in an industrial area with parking being a little unclear. Once we realized we were in the right spot, parked, and headed in, all was well! The vibe is casual and chill and the area is comfortable for a large group to be able to get together, enjoy some games(they have loads for you to play while there), drink some solid beers and enjoy food from a food truck from one of the rotating trucks they have on any given day. This hidden gem tucked under the concrete jungle of the freeway is a must-try. I have been in hermit mode and came to be a part of an event, and here's some of what I experienced: The server at the bar (I'm bad with names) was so nice, I was a clueless dork not knowing what to drink and stammering over my words but she happily got me a couple samples, and guided me with so much patience. I had the pineapple beer and it was highly palatable for a picky alcohol dork like me. While I was drinking one of their staff also made me feel welcome and I could tell staff really cares about this place. It shows in their demeanor.....You ever go to a place where you can feel the good vibes afoot and you can relax with your beer? This is it. And I'm here for it. The Brewyard is a shining example of Los Angeles' beer scene. Really great selection ranging from light to dark with lots of interesting flavor profiles. Had an ube beer--absolutely out of this world! The atmosphere is great--every square inch of it feels like a craft brewery in the best way. There were a couple musicians playing there and it added to the ambiance. They had a tent outside serving some fancy hot dogs which were excellent too and complimented the beer well.
