A million thanks to brian anderson and team for the excellent work they did painting our master bedroom and the loft! We had dark crown molding when we moved in and dark walls. They took the extra care to make sure it was done right! They also covered up everything to protect it from the paint. Finally, I'm so happy they were able to get my super high walls... So I've waited 3 months to post this review but I'm still just annoyed as ever. Maybe my expectations are too high. I had almost all the interior painted by Brian's team. We just bought a new house and wanted it done before we moved in. Brian's quote matched others but I thought they sounded the most professional and never having spent this amount of money on painting I wanted to be assured of quality work. I think Brian might have overextended himself with work load this summer. He doesn't do any of the painting anymore but seems to manage teams. He was never once on time for any appointment, and I was quite specific and planned in advance since we didn't live nearby and I needed a babysitter. I ended up putting samples on walls myself that I brought as he was over an hour late. There was also a mix up on paperwork and checks that I had sent which he finally realised he had cashed. All in all not a very professional front so far. They completed the work on time and rushed to let me move in early. When I arrived I was shocked at the amount of paint over everything. Spray over hardwood floors, windows, appliances you name it. But they assured me it would clean up and they worked hard to clean. Personally I thought the whole point was making sure you prepped well enough so there was very little cleaning. The newly installed wood plantation shutters had paint all over them, brian sent his guy back to clean further as I couldn't get it off without damage to the varnish. He further damaged the varnish and offered to touch it up but at this point I declined. I now have shutters with paint and damage. Luckily the room is dark. Weeks later I'm still finding really sloppy work, sills and Windows with paint on. Also a gap along the ceiling in one bedroom that I had to fill in! The previous color was yellow so I know it was my painters. I feel like I could have paid half the price for the same level of work. The photos I added were just today's findings... read more

I contacted Brian Anderson's Painting regarding a dingy looking garage. He responded immediately to take measurements and give an estimate to drywall and paint the entire garage. He dispatched a star crew, Omar and Eric, and they did an outstanding job. My garage walls are now the same quality as living room walls -- and I never expected that. We needed to get the exterior of our house painted. Brian's quote came in very competitive and we decided to go with him. We had them paint the entire exterior of our house, install an exterior door. and fix some stucco that was damaged with the heavy rain we had in the winter. The crew arrived at around 8 every morning and left right around 5 in the afternoon. They cleaned up every day and didn't leave anything out. This was especially helpful so my dog could be in the backyard after being cooped up inside while they were working. The job was finished within the time frame parameters in the contract. Our house looks great! We will definitely use them for future painting needs. read more

I do construction management for a local government entity so I have seen a lot of incompetence over the years, but Brian beats them all. During the initial job walk I asked him specifically regarding the size of his sprayer as I was requiring a larger sprayer due to manufacturer specs of the paint. After waiting n waiting n waiting for him to send over two workers for this one day job, it finally happened. However, Brian forgot our entire conversation and failed to review the agreed upon scope of work as he instructed his workers remotely. Instead he told the workers to paint only 60% of the agreed upon area. After I advised him of the issue, he told his guys to roll the forgotten area yet never advised me. After I spoke to the worker I noticed it didn't blend well where the worker advised that it was rolled and not sprayed. Brian then advised me that rolling was the preferred application method. Which was either a lie or evidence of his ignorance as it relates to his profession. He then attempted to collect the funds for the job telling me he met the parameters of the "contract." I advised him that his guys need to apply the paint as a single coat of elastomeric paint as outlined by the manufacturer. After hesitation he finally sent his guys over to actually spray the entire area. The problem was that he used a small homeowner sprayer which required his workers to water down the paint and bang on the bearing housing to keep the pump from locking up. What a joke! He is a perfect example a substandard contractor. I would recommend he start placing bids on government jobs. He would be perfect! read more

The paint looks good and it was completed in a reasonable time. The price is high compared to other estimates I got but I chose him because he took the time to really look at the project. We had some grey stucco that needed to be redone and some of the others didn't even look at it before giving an estimate. The reason for the only 3stars is COMMUNICATION it's hard to get Brian to call you back. You always have to call him. The other reason is that my husband was not happy with the way the front door was painted. They rolled it on and left it with the orange peel texture. So they sanded it off and kind of painted it again but there wasn't enough paint and here it is, a month later and they haven't come to finish it. Yes I've called and emailed. So again it comes down to communication. The paint came out good but there's some plaster on the fan blades in the air conditioner and the plasterer dumped the unused plaster in the lawn. My house looks great after Brian Anderson's crew finished re-stuccoing and painting it. They went above and beyond everything that was promised - Adrian even brought in my trash barrels on trash day. They answered all my questions And made the house look better than I had even hoped it would considering that it was built in 1961 and the old protective coating was literally peeling off and the facia had been pieced together when I bought it. Brian Anderson and Mike did a GREAT job with my interior painting. There was a 3rd guy, that came on the 3rd day, who also did a great job (I didn't catch his name). They painted an entryway, 2 hallways, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and 2 bedrooms in 3 days. They worked very hard and were professional. They made sure to ask about things so that I would get exactly what I wanted. My house had not been painted since 94' (after the quake) and they made it look new. Brian with his crew in June 2017 painted the entire interior of our home. We also have an unattached building which was also painted (interior). Brian contracted to put 2 coats of wall and trim paint. Also his crew sanded down the baseboards/crown mouldings before painting. This was included in his pricing. His crew is careful. His crew takes pride in their work and wants to have the customer happy. The job was started and completed as quoted. No leaving our job to finish or start another job. The painters cleaned up also after the job. Brian personally checked out the cleanup. Brian is a local. He and his family have roots here in Santa Clarita. As everyone out there know there are two sides to a story and then the truth. What Brian Anderson is not disclosing is the true fact that no arrangements had been made to repair the damage that had been done. It was not just touch ups I needed. One of his employees had leaned on my shelve it was pulled out of the wall including damaging the drywall. That employee Mike then lied about it and promised to come and fix it and to please not tell Mike. I can only assume this is because he was in fear of his job. It cost me $400.00 to have that damage fixed alone. I have pictures and prof of all damage and touch ups as he say. But unfortunately I had to have the entire room repainted by a true professional company. He is also lying about the contract since I did print it up and sign it but he does not have anyway of returning it to him. He does not have a fax number and you are unable to forward it by email. He was going to pick it up that day but he did not show up for 2 1/2 hours after his workers did. They had no supplies, no paint and left for awhile to get coffee since they had been told to be there at 8 am. They where bothered and I needed to go to an appointment. When I returned they had barely started to paint around 11:30. It was a decent size room. They came and told me they where finished around 5 to come and check. It was darker in the room at that time making it difficult to really examen I asked if Brian was coming by to check. Mike stated " yes but we don't want to be here when he does" they left. Brian arrived at 6 and was anxious and covered in paint from another job he went to. By this time there was paint dripping down to the baseboards, I had a broken wall with a huge hole and a damaged baseboard. Brian was running around with a dirty cloth wiping the baseboards and telling me because it rained that is why it was dripping. He was anxious and agitated that his men had left already. I even heard him on the phone with his wife complaining that he was stuck here cleaning. He made the experience so very unpleasant. The work was terrible and unfinished. He had told me he would caulk the baseboards when they taped the walls. I was told by his employees he told them not to that he was not getting paid for caulking. The workers also admitted they didn't do a third coat on a small are because Brian had also stated he wasn't getting paid for that. I made it clear how I wanted it to look. If my request would have cost more he should have made that clear not give me a price and then cut corners. He did not follow through with any of his commitments. I ask you customers out there would you pay for uncomplicated work? He is welcome to say anything he wants about me, I also welcome him working with the contractors boards. I have pictures of the damage and a witness to all the events that transpired. I also have the text messages between us. To include him threatening to put a lien on my house. I did not threaten to go after his license and bond. I have done all my research with the mechanics law and contractors boards. I know my rights as a customer now. I have had many jobs done on my house with great results and kept a great reputation. I have another painting company I usually work with. They had been unavailable and I chose to go with a different company. I myself should have followed my instincts since I had to follow up with him about the job, he changed the original date we had set up, he never called to confirm the night before as stated he would. He left his guys here with nothing to do for 2 1/2 hours which I can assume caused them to rush and do a terrible job. I learned a expensive lessons due having to pay for repairs and repainting that took two days of work. So please read this along with his response and keep in mind his employee had to track him down to get paid. That sounds like a contractor who has no integrity or respect for the jobs he does or the people he hires. read more

I used Brian before and he did an excellent job....however this time, VERY disappointed. He really didn't have time to oversee his employees and my Pergola and front porch railings were only painted over, with the peelings still landing on my patio to this day (never scraped)!! Also, paint was dripped on my new garage door and overspray from the pergola was all over my astroturf!!! Would not recommend unless you make sure YOUR watching the painters to make sure they are doing what is being paid for. read more

Brian and his team are outstanding! Brian has an excellent knowledge and skills on all aspects of prep work, repair, selecting colors and then thorough meticulous painting and cleanup. Brian and his competent team painted the entire interoir, including casita and two story entry, of a 2510 square foot home. This took several days of prep work to ensure neat clean trim, wall and ceiling paint with different colors and textures. His team made sure that two coats of new paint covered original worn colors. The entire house has crown molding so the new paint now makes a spectacular impression as the crown molding contrasts with various wall paints in different rooms. I don't believe the bad review here- we had Brian Anderson paint the exterior of our house 2 years ago and are not surprised that it looks as good as the day they did it. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. Brian and his team exceeded all of our expectations. There was clear communication throughout the duration of the job, excellent pre-paint prep, they kept a super clean and tidy work site, they were always on time, they worked our job from start date promised straight thru to finish date promised, a super clean job free of any over-spray, paint drips/drops etc....most impressed with their journeyman quality plaster/patch repair around a previously poorly done bathroom window install.
