She is absolutely the best with children--so patient, kind, and gentle. Thanks to Dr. Lee, both of my kids actually look forward to going to the dentist and have never been afraid of their dental visits. When Dr. Lee opened her own practice in Yorba Linda, we happily followed her from Irvine Children's Dentistry because we trust her completely. She has a wonderful way of making every visit fun and comfortable while providing exceptional care. We love that she explains each step to the kiddos so they know what to expect. She also walks the parents through each step and helps parents understand the issues and any next steps. We appreciated that when my son was showing the very first signs of a developing cavity on his baby tooth, she didn't push us to get it filled right away and instead she recommended being vigilant with brushing and flossing to see if we could reverse the decay that way first. We had such a wonderful experience here. The office is brand new, modern, and designed in a way that immediately makes kids feel comfortable and welcome. From the moment we walked in, the environment felt friendly and calming -- perfect for little ones who might be nervous about dental visits. The doctor and staff are incredibly kind and patient. They truly know how to make kids feel safe and at ease, to the point where my daughter actually wanted to be there. We originally came in for an emergency abscessed tooth, and they took care of us right away. The doctor was very thorough in evaluating what happened, carefully explaining the situation and walking us through all our options. They were able to perform the procedure right in the office, and the entire team was attentive, gentle, and focused on making sure my daughter received the best care possible. Everyone was warm, reassuring, and professional throughout the visit. Even though we live 30 minutes away and it's quite a drive for us, this experience was so positive that we are seriously considering switching her to see Dr. Lee as her general dentist moving forward. Dr. Yvonne Lee is my second favorite pediatric dentist (my first is my wife, but she's unfortunately now in academia rather than treating our kids). We routinely make the long trek up from Irvine to see Dr. Lee, but it's well worth our time and effort, as she is always friendly and professional, explains the treatment plans and costs in detail, and makes my kids feel completely at ease throughout their visits. We love that this office has all the latest gadgets, combined with the warm, personalized care of staff like Margo and Liz who have been at the office for over 20 years. Dr. Saunders and his staff are exceedingly professional, and will work with you to squeeze you in if an emergency dental issue happens. Scheduling is always a tropical breeze with his expertly trained staff. My daughter grins from ear to ear when I mention she gets to go to the dentist. She is just so excited gleeful and happy. She can play with toys while she waits in the waiting area, and there is always a family friendly movie playing in the play area. Seriously, the staff here goes above and beyond what is required of them. An immaculate practice is home to an epically amicable staff beyond biblical proportions. All kidding aside, I've never seen my daughter so elated to go the dentist, literally jumping for joy. Most kids hate the dentist, but Dr. Saunders and his staff are always just the right amount of friendly. Making each and every kid feel welcome and right "at home". There is always a special treat drone the treasure box that she has to look forward to. When my daughter was having issues with brushing at home I explained the situation and Dr. Saunders gently reminded her of the importance of flossing and maintains a consistent brushing habit. After that, all the arguments about brushing her teeth fizzled away. In addition to the brushing songs we sing at home, she brushed her teeth with a renewed vigor! Filling a couple of the cavities she did have was a breeze! Their masks used for filling smell like bubblegum! My daughter even got to take it home with her as a souvenir! She said that when her cavities were filled it tickled! Yes, you read right, tickled! That is how gentle Dr. Saunders is when filling cavities. read more

Dr. Saunders and team are incredible! After battling with a local chain pediatric dentist over seeing a provider in our network (after being with them for 3 years!) I finally gave up and searched for someone new. Dr. Saunders was the first person I called and his friendly staff helped us then and have continued to be warm and supportive each time I interact with them. I was so nervous for my young daughter to have her first treatment done, and she was so comforted that Dr. Saunders was able to get all work done in one sitting, even though we had anticipated a second visit would be necessary. He and the hygienist made her comfortable with engaging conversation and care. Dr. Saunders has been my both my daughter's pediatric dentist for several years and he has been wonderful. The front staff, however has been rude to my daughter, who is 18, and then to me over the phone. They would not continue treatment without parental consent and denied her an x-ray for concerning symptoms. By the time I spoke with the front desk she said the staff went to lunch and would not treat her. Very disappointing. read more

Can I give 10 stars? Dr. Saunders and is staff are the best! My first experience with them was last summer with my newborn. My pediatrician gave me a handful of dentist cards to check out my baby's neonatal tooth. I chose Dr. Saunders because he was the closest to me. I'm so happy I did! He was so very friendly and caring with my baby and made sure all my concerns were addressed. My next visit was more recent with my 3 year old. It was her first time at getting her teeth cleaned and I didn't know how she'd react. Lisa, her hygienist, was so sweet during the whole process. She made sure my daughter was informed and involved during the whole process. My daughter has since been asking to go back to dentist and see Lisa. Everyone in the office seems to love kids and are so sweet. I'm glad I found a pediatric dentist that I will go to for a long time. read more

Wonderful kids dentist!!! I have four kids and they treat my kids like royalty! The moment you walk in you are greeted and the assistants come out and have a very kind greeting and call your kids by name! They have a very professional work environment but super kid friendly! I LOVE the super caring staff and I love the fact that there is a little play area and movie for the other kids to watch. They are trust worthy and do great dental work. I have been coming here for several years and highly recommend it! They also give the kids a little laughing gas to make them feel comfortable something I did not have as a kid! I went to Dr. Saunders for a second opinion and while he was thorough and great with my children, its once again the staff that seems to be the issue. I spoke with at least four women in the office and two were nice, the others seemed to hate their job. When I called today to schedule a follow up, the woman over the phone was really rude and snotty. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm too old for this BS. If you don't like ur job, QUIT. People hate the dentist and the last thing they want to deal with is rude staff. Put a damn smile on ur face and some pep in you're voice. Gosh. This place has been a god send for us. After attempting other pediatric dentists and having no success we were referred by my dentist to Dr. Saunders and his team...it was like magic! This location is a great facility and easy to locate. The staff here is amazing with kids! They genuinely are about the kids and it shows when they engage and interact with them. The waiting area is nice and tidy-it has a small play area to keep the littles busy while hey wait their turn which is normally not very long. My son loves to play with their toys, and watches a movie while we wait. When you enter the work space you can tell they take their time cleaning, and making sure the work space is well kept. Each room has different details that show this place cares! My son loved that he can watch a movie while getting his teeth worked on. Dr. Saunders has a heart of gold! He is so professional and so kind, and his compassion for kids shows! He takes him time, speaks with the kids and keeps them at ease! I've never felt more at ease then here! My comment isn't about the Dr's themselves, but about the hygienist in this office. Our kids are 18 and 19 years old and because they've been coming to Dr. Saunders since they were kids they still haven't changed their dentist. I recently were told by my son that during his cleaning the hygienist without asking him, did the fluoride treatment which is done only on young children and not on adults. I have a huge issue with this practice because it is a fact that fluoride is toxic and we avoid it even in our toothpaste but she should have asked if we wanted to go ahead with the treatment before applying it. I know its additional cost that is the factor here but again any additional charges should be discussed prior so that people have a choice in saying no if they want to. read more
