Kim kept my son calm through out and Dr. Chung came in to examine and provide suggestions on possible future services. Thankfully he did not try to sell us on any procedures and scheduled a follow up. Dr. Chung also showed us the state-of-the-art 3D scanners that maps the entire mouth in color for when we get started. There is plenty of support on-site. I felt depressed, frustrated, and full of regret about the treatment decisions I had made. My previous orthodontic experience left me feeling discouraged and hopeless. Communication was poor, appointments felt rushed, and I often felt like my concerns weren't being heard. By the end, I was so uncomfortable going back that I didn't even return to have my braces removed. Dr. Bakar ended up removing them and helping me start over. Finding Dr. Bakar was a complete turning point. From the first consultation, he listened. He took the time to hear my concerns, explain what had happened, and walk me through my options. Every visit since then has been the same. He is patient, understanding, easy to talk to, and never makes me feel rushed. If I have a question, he answers it. If I have a concern, he listens. What impressed me most is the attention to detail he brings to his work. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. As an engineer, he has an incredible eye for precision, and the technology he uses is far more advanced than anything I experienced previously. The difference in treatment has been night and day. I found Dr. Bakar on Yelp because of the great reviews and detailed photos of patients' results. Even though I drive an hour each way to see him, it has been worth every mile. After many prayers, tears, frustration, and regret, finding Dr. Bakar truly felt like an answer to prayer. He came into my life at a time when I had almost given up hope of getting my smile back. I am almost finished with treatment, and for the first time in a long time, I am excited about my smile again. My youngest had two loose baby teeth (right next to each other) that weren't coming out on their own. Today she bit into something that caused the loose teeth to suddenly shift and she couldnt bite down anymore. She was crying and in pain. Today is a Saturday and the office was already closed by the time this happened, so I text the after hours number and Dr Bakar immediately said he could meet us at the office in 10 minutes. He came in on a Saturday evening to take care of my daughter and help her get those baby teeth out so she could be comfortable again. I met with 5 orthodontists when I was ready due to an issue with my bite. 3 said I must have jaw surgery. One that they could help. Dr. Brian said- I love this challenge! He shared that he can absolutely help and even better, with Invisalign which I didn't think was possible. He guaranteed a success rate of maybe 50-70% better than it currently is. That was more than I ever expected. In my opinion, his success rate was greater! Probably 85% better than it was and I just love my bite today. Love my smile. I have referred many to them since. All of us have had the best experience that was possible when you tell a teenager they will be a "brace-face" for at least two years. People underestimate the importance of having a healthy and straight smile (especially Asians). However, I have to admit that my new smile has opened conversations, made friends, generated business, and even paid off in compliments. You wont believe how many random people have walked up to me and say, "You have such a great smile" and walk away! Just walk away. I think it's because it's a sign that you're happy and healthy which is always important in the business world. A couple of things to highlight: *** Dr. Devian is not only very experienced but also very gentle. He will take the time to explain every procedure and every tool. He's also very funny and remembers even the smallest detail of your personal life that you share with him. *** The staff have been loyal to him for a long time. They are extremely friendly and talk to your family. *** They have a "Smile wall" in which they display photos of the end result: a perfect smile. I remember looking at that wall every time I had to go and thought, "I will be there soon." It was very motivating. *** Dr. Devian's office is also one of the few that will put in a semi-permanent retainer for your lower teeth and continually fix a nice retainer for your uppers.
