I needed a simple repair of changing the spout for my bathtub because the diverter had gone bad. I…read morerequested a quote from several plumbers. All responded fairly quick (within an hour) and I had given enough information and pictures so they all knew exactly what was needed. I received quotes all the way up to 175/hour plus parts to 225 parts included. Others even wanted to come by and charge me to look at the job to quote me (which they said the fee would be waived if I used them for the job after..but seriously?). Mark responded to call him and leave him a voicemail explaining I had contacted him via a message and he would call me back. He called back within 10 minutes of me leaving the message and spoke to me on the phone. He thanked me for the detailed pictures and asked if I was handy at all as this was a very simple job and he didnt want me to pay a large sum for such a simple job. He said he would come if I still wanted him to but explained everything I would have to do and where to go get the parts. He even said if I get stuck I can call him to come over. The part was cheap around 20 dollars and the work involved seems super simple (I watched some videos on youtube on how to do this). I havent fixed it yet as I am waiting for the part but i am confident now thanks to his information and knowing I can call him if I need him to come for the job. Its hard to find good contractors for work such as this and I am keeping his number for any future jobs.

Mark is a great plumber with an extensive history of experience and is your "go to" local plumber…read morefor all your residental needs. He is generally very helpful with knowledge and good with talking through planned permit work or a good story to boot. He just recently installed the final touch for a whole home portable backup generator at my home, a new 3/4in gas line basement run to supply the generator (or maybe a deck grill someday), the inspector was very accomodating and approved the work quickly! He has also previously helped with regular maintenance like water heater anode rod replacement and a few gate to ball valve replacements for leaky or seized water valves. See photos below of the gas line connection and whole home portable backup generator setup. Apparently it's "unusual" here in MA to have whole home portable backup power (Costco bargain!), everyone is told a $15k concrete slab generator is the minimum, at least, that is what Castle Electric said to me! Do it yourself for a 1/3rd of the cost with Marks help and skip the upselling from the "other" options out there!

I had a toilet that would not stop running and after unsuccessfully trying to diagnose and solve…read morethe problem myself, I decided to reach out to a professional. Martin was recommended to me by Yelp's request a quote function. He was one of the few plumbers on the recommended who was willing to give me an estimate without having to send someone over first. The price was fair and Martin was responsive in scheduling a time the same day I contacted him. The plumber on Martin's team that I worked with was knowledgable, professional, and worked quickly to replace the fill valve within 30 minutes. We weren't 100% sure if that would fix the problem since this appeared to be a slow leak so they were willing to hold off invoicing me and ordering additional parts just in case the fill valve wasn't the issue. Luckily replacing the fill valve did the trick but I appreciated the gesture anyways. Still waiting to figure out how their payment works since I received an online invoice with an option to pay online. Anyways they did a great job and I would recommend them for toilet repair.

But Martin got in there and sopped up ALL the water and was able to determine that it wasn't the heater but my HVAC. He was an extremely kind and patient gentleman. He made a call and procured the proper service gentleman for me. He stayed with the HVAC guy until the problem was resolved. In addition I realized that I would be actually needing a NEW water heater in a very short time. So I made arrangements with Mr. McManus to have that done. I can't adequately express how impressed I was with both the quality of service and the timeliness of his response. I would bestow my most unabashed praise on Mr. McManus and both his professionalism and attention to both my needs and requirements and what was needed to get the job done. 5 STARS

Steve is my 'go to plumber". He is polite, punctual, neat and professional. A few years ago we…read moreneeded our 40 year old heating system replaced. He offered 3 solutions: budget, better or "do it once and do it right". We went to a ultra high efficiency gas fired hot water system. My mother always said that you get what you pay for. Done right, done efficiently, laid out neatly, just fantastic work and worth every penny. And our gas bills are no longer a major issue in our budget.

Hands down the best plumber I have ever used. Meticulous in…read moreservice, his work both looks and works fantastically. Very, very happy. It is absolutely true that you get what you pay for and I am always very happy with his work and I have never had to have him come back to repair a job he did (which I have had to do with other plumbers in the area!) - although once I did have him repair a job another plumber did when I made the mistake of hiring someone just because he quoted me a cheaper price. Whatever the situation is, whether it's a new job, or one he's aware I had initially hired someone else to do, he has always been professional and pleasant. Really, I will never use another plumber; no one else compares. I have not one complaint for the years worth of work he has done for me and honestly I could rave on and on. The owner can seem a little gruff at first, but he (the owner, Steve) is genuinely a really great guy and is more than willing to in-depth explain every detail of what he does, so at the end of the day, you know you both have someone extremely knowledgable about what he is doing and who is willing to explain each step (and you know exactly what you're paying for!). I would and have recommended this plumbing service to anyone who's looking for a great plumber!!
