Amazing Customer Service! Yesterday, I was reminded that there are still some really wonderful people in this world. First thing in the morning, I realized that our home's drainage system was backed up and there was raw sewage in our downstairs tub and toilet and it would not drain. I called a local company a few years ago to unclog this same drain and the results were less than satisfactory. We were concerned that the problem would return eventually, and it did. I went online to the yellow pages website to search for someone with fair pricing and reliable service. I noticed that Anchor Sewer and Drain Service had some nice reviews and seemed to fit my needs, so I called them. I was reluctant to call because, they are located in Bellingham, MA and I was concerned that they might not go as far as Bristol, RI. I'm so glad that I called! I spoke to the Owner/Office Manager, Denise. She was so nice, helpful and understanding. She took to time to reassure me that their primary focus is to treat every customer like family and that statement proved to be so true. Not only did she ask me if I noticed their online coupons, she gave me an even larger discount, because she thought I sounded like a very nice person. How many companies would do that for someone they never met? Denise informed me that she would be sending James in the afternoon to fix the problem. When James arrived, he was very mild mannered and extremely professional. We discussed the problem and all the available options, so that I could make a well informed decision. He was able to solve the problem even though it was not the best of conditions to work with, because he had to access the drain by removing the toilet and he had very little space to work in. But, he never complained once. He spent the next 5 hours going through the entire process, step by step, and explained everything along the way. If that's not the best customer service, then I don't know what is. Most people would be ready to call it a day, since he had already put in 8 hours, but he stayed until after 10pm just to help us out. Not only did he fix the problem, he also gave me a low cost, long term solution to minimize the cost and effort needed to access the drain in the future. We look forward to making these repairs next Spring. It is very rare that you encounter a company this dedicated to offering fair prices, reliable service and making every customer feel like family. He's an incredibly nice person, very thorough and reasonably priced, and he really takes the time to explain what you're dealing with in a situation, not to mention checking back in to make sure all is hanging together well. But I really owe him for his help when we were dealing with a burst pipe last winter in the bitter weather. I was on my own with my toddler, completely freaking out at the quantity of water coming apparently out of nowhere, and unable to find an available local plumber. James took my call, talked me down, helped me switch off the water, and tracked down another local plumber to help me out within minutes. It's very rare to find someone who's so concerned about their work and the well-being of their clients. I hope not to have to use him too often, but when I do (sewer situation aside!), it's a pleasure. read more

We had an emergency with our shower and toilet not draining. Called Anchor Sewer and Drain Cleaning and James agreed to come to check it out. He kept us informed of his arrival time by text and showed up promptly. He checked and rechecked for the blockage, even having to uncover and work from our septic tank back to house (in the dark and COLD). He continued to work for hours to find the blockage and was finally able to clear it! We are extremely grateful to James for spending so much time to track down and clear the problem! We had Anchor Sewer and Drain cleaning come to our home today due to a sewage problem. To anyone who reads reviews please take a minute and read this one. James and Tom came here and worked non-stop to unclog our sewage line to rectify the problem. Excellent Job! I called James on a Saturday because my pump died and I would not be able to use my kitchen sink or downstairs bathroom. He came within the hour and spent a very long time trying to access the area just to replace the pump. It was not an easy job but he worked on it for hours without one single complaint. He got a new pump and installed it. He made sure everything was working correctly and the area was clean before he left. I highly recommend him. I called Anchor because our kitchen sink was backed up and our regular plumber could not fix it. He suggested going on Yelp to find a local drain cleaner. I came to Anchor and there was no doubt who I was calling. James answered immediately and we scheduled a time for him to come. He arrived on time and was just great. As others have said, he showed us what he would do and why.. It was a messy job and he cleaned up and left our line clear and our garage looking better than when he arrived. James came to my house to possibly install a sump pump but instead of selling me something I didn't need he informed me that my problem was drainage around my foundation and suggested ways to stop water from getting in. After his assessment it was evident the solution didn't call for the services he provides. I have since followed his advice and resolved the issue. I called yesterday and the technician came the next day and on time. He was very professional and pleasant. He was able to unclog my sink in less than one hour. James was awesome! Personable and knowledgeable. I spent a week trying to unclog a pipe in our bathroom by myself and he gave me some things to try before he came out.
