Great breakfast, great service, very clean, very popular on the holidays, our new local favorite since moving here

Hubby and I had just returned back home after a family emergency issue in Japan, and wanted a good ol' breakfast. We headed here as we knew it was a small, local chain and had it on the "list" of places to try. When we walked in, harsh 5000k lighting greeted us. I'm not a fan; it causes "floaties" in my eyes. So frankly, that wasn't great. Briana's - a quick reminder that restaurants should be warm and inviting- using harsh, cold lighting does "not" count and was the reason for the sole demerit. We ordered food - i had a denver omelette with toast and crepes - and it was great, seriously. Service was fairly nice; the waitress was pleasant, the seating was new and very comfy, and except for the lighting? We'd return for sure! read more

The service was great and so was the food. However, the stars because the skilled was very small and overpriced for the size. $18 dollars for a skillet with barely any meat in it is a little too much. Unfortunately due to high prices and small portions we will not be back. read more

Yaritsi our server was friendly and very attentive with replenishing coffee, water and extra napkins! This is a hidden gem of a really nice breakfast & lunch place. The menu is very extensive including skillets, scrambles, crepes, pancakes, waffles, French toast & eggs Benedict creations. Lunch options include 1/2 pound angus burgers, sandwhiches, salads and more! They have Excellent fresh hot coffee. They featured the day I was there cream of broccoli soup served with a warm croissant & premium crackers. The patty melt was perfectly cooked and not a bit greasy. The french fries were hot & crispy and the come slaw added a nice touch to the plate! The Vegetable omelette had all fresh cut veggies and the hash browns were cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. Nothing on the plate had a bit of oil or grease. Pancakes were a nice size and very fluffy. Served with warm syrup. Condiments for everything far exceed other breakfast places. It's clean and laid out very nicely and booths were very comfortable and many could seat 6-8 people easily! read more

Looking for something new and close to us for Breakfast, Yelp led us here. It's really nice inside, great decor. We were in a bit of a hurry and our visit got off to a rocky start. We were seated right away but then we sat and sat as waitresses walked right by us and never acknowledged us. We were about to leave when I flagged down someone who again was just walking by and she acted a bit bothered, but we ordered. The menu is large, lots of choices, really impressive. I ordered iced tea and my wife got coffee, the tea was very weak and almost clear and my wife did not really like their coffee. The food came pretty quickly, I got the Ola Boy skillet with hash browns onions & green peppers, mushroom, cheese, sausage gravy and topped with chicken fried steak and my wife got the Chipotle Scrambler with chorizo, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle-hollandaise sauce. The skillet was very good, I was surprised how fresh and crispy yet tender the steak was, a lot of times it can be kinda dry. The eggs were absolutely perfect over easy, plus the menu says 2 eggs, but there were 3...bonus! The only complaint was for almost $20 it was a bit small. My wife wasn't crazy about hers, there was nothing wrong with it. She was expecting more egg...like an omelet or scrambled eggs but that was on her, not the restaurant. It had a lot of chorizo and fillings and tasted great. The jelly situation was kinda plain, strawberry and grape so I got pancakes on the side, they were really really good, my wife's side of fruit was a bit sad, but fine. Went on a Saturday and they were packed. For seated quickly and had a large menu. Had eggs, bacon and churro French toast. Plus. Side of biscuits and gravy. Everything was quite good. Service solid. Definitely will go back. read more

Big place with lots of seating. For a party of 6+, make reservations, especially on the weekend. There are so many varieties and choices for vegetarians. We had a big group, so we tried so many items. Portions are big. Service was good and fast. We have tried chilaquiles with green and red sauce. Both sauces are good. Tried veg skillet and farmer skillet both are good. The Nutella crepe was good but didn't like additional sauce on them. read more

Pretty yummy! I had their cheesecake strawberry crepe, slightly burnt at the edges but not bad, very filling. Clean restaurant, their men's bathroom stalls are way too low and have big cracks in between each stall. Otherwise, a nice sit down breakfast place read more

A better experience today. Great service and food. Instead of boring toast you can get French toast, pancakes, or biscuits and gravy. All options are good and big portions. My egg scramble was loaded and the Gryos meat is yummy. I'll be back. read more

Their carnivore skillet was tasty and had a pleasant spiciness, but I was dissatisfied that there was more hash browns than meat in the dish. The ribeye steak is sour and under-seasoned. If vinegar wasn't used to tenderize the meat, I believe it to be spoilt. read more

One of our favs. Restaurant was half full with customers. Our initial food order was delivered in a timely manner. My skillet and crepes were perfect. My wife ordered the Avocado Toast which was served virtually cold - topped with SPICY Guacamole spread- jalapeños chunks throughout. Had to be returned to the kitchen. Waitress stopped by twice to say the order would be up soon. On the 2nd visit, as I had finished my meal, we asked it just be put the Avo Toast in a box to go. While the waitress chatted up the table next to us, the manager delivered the order with avo slices. Asked it be put in a box a 2nd time. No apologies or acknowledgement from staff or management. My wife ate the fruit plate and she went home "Hangry" with the Avo Toast box, reheating it at home. Small thing: Three TVs, one with a blank blue screen, one with a broken red color gun, third was working. Overall the restaurant is nice and clean. The food is good, but can be surprising and re-orders delivery time can be hit or miss. read more

My absolute favorite comfort breakfast spot. Amazing portions for a good price. If u want that old home style vibe and comfort from 2010 then go here. These spots are so hard to come by now and this is one of the best I've found. All of the servers and hostesses are also so kind and sweet. Overall just an amazing spot. read more

I haven't updated my review since Briana's opened because they have done a great job keeping up the quality. One thing we have noticed is amazing attentiveness to your coffee cup. If you like you cream and sugar a certain way, keep an eye on your mug because they will refill while you aren't even looking, which keeps it hot all the time. We do have a favorite server now, her name is Stacy. Ask for her and enjoy your meal! read more

Oh man... oh man.. where do I begin? I had a Scramble that had avocado, bacon, spinach and subbed in some feta for the mozzarella. So good. Also had the fruit and pancakes. We were in Bartlett and decided to stop for brunch. We found Briana's on Yelp and decided to try it out as a potential new breakfast place. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel very welcome. Our server was sweet and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. We never thought the portions were going to be as big as they were, or we may have shared one. The food was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. Although I am not a regular coffee drinker I opted for it and was pleased that it wasn't too strong or bitter. Typical breakfast restaurant. I have come here twice. The first time I came I was a little disappointed. I ordered a sampler which included pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. None of the food had any flavor. Very bland. The portion sizes are humongous. Kinda crazy to have a lot of food in front of you that has no flavor. I went a second time because my mom wanted to go. The food tasted very different. Somehow, the food got flavorful. It was like I was at a different restaurant. Maybe it was a different cook. Im glad I went a second time. I can not recommend this place more...after working all night my son wanted breakfast, we stopped here and were not disappointed. The place is newer, still kept in great condition. The wait staff was friendly, the coffee hot. Food was really good..seemed like most was made on site and not reheat of prepared stuff. I had skirt steak son had country fried steak, both were great. Besides steak we both got eggs, side, and "bread" I had fruit and it was actually fresh cut not frozen! Had a fresh tangerine!! For bread I choose potato pancakes and they were really flavorful, cooked perfectly not greasy. Will be going here again to eat. read more

When my husband and I lived in Palatine, we frequented that location quite often! We now live in Bartlett, so we miss our Briana's! But, when we saw a new location was opening up in Hanover Park we got excited!! Yesterday we stopped in for breakfast... This location is much more open and airy than the Palatine spot. There was some backup at the checkout area, but a really nice girl sat us right away. Our waiter, Mike, greeted us shortly after. He was very nice, but a little frazzled from either being new or just figuring out his groove. So the food...!!! I promise you, we ordered and our food showed up 5 minutes later. Not. Exaggerating. My hungry belly was so thankful! My husband ordered his 'old usual', the south beach scrambler with hash browns and a side of crepes. I ordered the Mexican farmer skillet with no cheese, a side of salsa and French toast. The flavor and quality was just as wonderful as we remembered!! If you haven't tried Briana's at ANY location, give the Hanover Park location a try. They'll be sure to please!! read more

Loved Hashbrowns and Chilaquiles. Friendly staff. Quick service. Most of us were vegetarian and they had good options

This is the second time I was there, and was equally pleased, as was my friend. What we liked was that the seating is not overcrowded, as in some other restaurants. Everyone from hostess, to server, and the man who came twice to check on us, were so cordial and caring. The food was just excellent. I loved the choices, including crepes! -- to be sides for breakfast choices. I took those home, with part of the skillet I ordered, enjoyed the next day. I can't wait to go back! read more

We had a terrible experience today for Father's Day. The manager Mariza was pressuring us to order and kept persistent on us to order right away! We had barely sat down not even 5 minutes in. We were set for 11 people. That's when Mariza came in and started pressuring us and telling us to hurry up and we had a time limit to be there. We got up and left . It was a waste of our time and theirs. I feel terrible for the waitress. She missed out on a good tip. We called Apple Villa and they took us right away ! Place is big time busy. Staff is on their game. Clean place. Talking no dust in the bathroom clean. Food is exactly what you want from a breakfast joint. I got the Goldilocks. It had a small ham and cheese omelette, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage and pancakes. A lot of interesting items in the menu. They have 5 locations. Very loud, very noisy, like Breakfast at Chucky Cheese. Packed with screaming & crying children. Waitress was nice, food was below average with only processed American singles for cheese option in omelette. (No real cheese) dried out hash browns, & yummy pancakes. Average price was about $15.00 per item, throw in coffee, tax, tip, & your at $50.00 for two to eat in a miserable & slow restaurant. So sad ... we have to find a new "go-to" breakfast place. We were immediate fans when they opened the doors and were happy for years. Unfortunately, there has been a change and all the original/long term servers are gone. We've been back a few times since but still the service sucks! When we visited the past weekend, I had to walk the server through the menu to place our order. She didn't know which items included sides and what sides were available. We had to beg for coffee and tea refills and then our check. Not sure who screwed up and made everyone leave but as a result, we won't be back. read more

Hidden gem of a pancake and brunch place. Haven't been to the one in Elgin yet, but this location in the old Hanover Park strip mall is a great, well-run and low-cost alternative to the expensive chain restaurants in the area. Also, this place is spotless. Every time I dine here I am positively knocked out by how clean both the dining area and FOH are and how calm and well-managed the staff are even during a breakfast rush. read more

First time at Brianna's and went for lunch on a Thursday. I had a Denver omelet with fruit and french toast. The portion was very generous and the flavors were excellent. Had enough leftover to have breakfast the next morning. My friend had the berry chicken salad and she said it was wonderful. We both agree we will come to Brianna's again. The menu describes this as "skirt steak, mushrooms, onions, and American cheese" imagine my disappointment when I realized that there was absolutely NO meat in there! What a wonderful surprise! My eggs were cooked perfectly as was my Greek toast. The hashed brown potatoes were incredible, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Belgian waffle was scrumptious. Really good coffee, too. We'll be back. read more

Food took more than an hour to serve two plates!! Ordered the avocado burger was not warm ordered a side of ranch, ranch tasted like water. We ordered a skillet with the pancakes that come with the order and no pancakes were delivered! To get a refill of coffee took more than 15 minutes. I ordered a chicken and rice soup was not warm more on the cold side, asked for a discount and a dollar was only discounted out of the total. Very dissatisfied with customer service I understand it can be busy but really wait for 1 hour to serve two plates? read more
