This was first time dining here and it was pretty good. It's nothing fancy but is a great place to get a quick breakfast. I highly recommend the gyro skillet.

Stopped by on a Sunday around 11am, did not have to wait for a table. The food was good, wish the service was a little better I had to ask for coffee refill more than once.

Suggested by a friend. It's in the Walmart parking lot. Came by on a Friday morning with some friends after the gym. Wasn't crazy busy, music playing was kind of sad...thought uh oh! BUT service was good and the food was great. Tried the Greek skillet. Sounded like a strange combo but it worked! I would totally order that again. And I asked for extra crispy hash browns and they were (this is so rare!). They don't have fancy coffee drinks but that was ok. I would absolutely go back.

Solid three stars. I wasn't super impressed but it was solid. Prices seemed reasonable. They have a good location on Barrington Road. Not very far from St. Alexius. Service was good. Not exemplary but it's safe.

This place was good for years. Not anymore. Waitress spilled my coffee twice while pouring and walking away at the same time. Then dumped a whole skillet of runny eggs on my lap. Brought the check and offered nothing until I said it wasn't right. Then she took my breakfast off. Come on... found plastic in my nieces eggs... cold pancakes.. smelly bathrooms.. good luck.

Looks like they remodeled as the place has a nice modern touch now. The floors are new and pretty much everything looks modern. It's interesting that there are several different light fixtures. I don't know, it was just worth noting. With the remodel, it seems like their menu has shrunk too. The menu is now one giant card, double-sided, with 90% of the menu being breakfast. So it's great if you're in the mood for breakfast, such as omelettes, skillets, crepes, and or pancakes. Not so much if you're not in a breakfast mood. I ordered the turkey club, which although not listed on the menu, had mayo on it. The club sandwich was cut into 4 mini triangles and came with fries. The turkey was very dry, so I guess that's what the mayo masked. The entree also included cream of chicken with rice. The soup was very salty and a little bit sour. It didn't come with any crackers. Overall, lunch was meh. We had 6 adults and 2 kids and bless her soul, but our waitress was a little overwhelmed. Most of our waters were left empty until near the end of our meal and I really wished she did mention the turkey club had mayo on it, although the menu did point out what came on the sandwich, like lettuce, turkey, tomato, and bacon. I guess you could argue a turkey club with mayo is implied anyways. Because it's like saying I was surprised the turkey club came with bread, even though the menu didn't list it came with bread. Although I hate sending things back, after some convincing from my friends, I decided to. They were nice enough to remake the sandwich without the mayo. Plus 1 star for that! BATHROOM REVIEW: located near the back, it looks like the bathrooms were redone as well. It was spacious and clean. Sit or squat? Sit!

    Buttermilk pancakes, pumpkin pancakes

Pumpkin Spice were so good! More pumpkin than cheapo spice flavoring. Buttermilk pancakes also so good. Moist and flavorful without syrup. Whip cream was offered but we declined. One server on duty. Lynn was polite, friendly and efficient. A real pro at the walk by drop off. Coffee, iced tea and water appeared on the table and she never broke stride. Syrup too. She did stop when delivering the pancakes. Awesome server. Tables and seats were clean, not sticky like some syrup serving places.

It was made to order and came out nice and warm (not the salad!) and everything was very tasty! We dined in and the dining area is spacious and well lit. We are regular Pita Inn diners and the food here was a touch better but also a little more expensive, but it was well worth the cost. If I want Mediterranean food and am out this way, Pita Pita is where I will come to.

Their menu is loaded with all the popular items (kabobs, shawarmas, etc), so chose their chicken shawarma bowl. The lady helping ring me up explained how it was made and that sounded great, which was the garlic sauce (sort of like toom) was on the bottom with the rice on top, salad next and then the protein on top. So, this is what I ordered. It was made fresh and came out piping hot. The rice in the dish was bland and the chicken was slightly more flavorful, which means it was basically bland as well. The garlic sauce and the salad were the best two flavors on this dish and I tried to grab some of that in each bite. I wasn't too impressed with the flavors of the chicken shawarma at all, but then again I prefer flavorful and authentic food and can't stand when ethnic restaurants cater to "Americans" by making their food less spicy/authentic. The place was rather busy when I went and the dining room was kept clean. Service was friendly. I'd recommend this place to those who don't have high expectations for spice, rather are looking for a nice experience.

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

The deal is half off apps, but if you enjoy an adult beverage, the house-brewed drafts are also half off. M-Th 3-6pm, dine-in only. At least that's what it is right now. I feel like it changes, so maybe call beforehand to confirm. I only got pics of the nachos this time, which really doesn't do it full justice because they're bigger than they look in the photo. Food is always good and consistent, there's nothing really to complain about regarding service or prices, and parking has always been really easy, though that could be because we typically go on Tuesdays. I imagine weekends could be a little bit busier, but the place is pretty big, so even if you have to wait, I don't think that you'd be waiting that long. The vibe is also casual and low-key.

I had been here with my daughter about 12 years ago and remembered enjoying it then. We all had burgers and craft beer. My friends went with the Mad Max (burger of the month) and I went with a peppercorn and blue cheese burger. It was thumbs up for all of us on the burgers as well as the beer, which was unique and delicious. I took no pictures that day and just enjoyed the outing with friends, but I was especially impressed with the taste of my burger. I abstained from adding any of my usual condiments, and decided to try it as is, with just their sauce. Best decision ever! The sauce was amazing and the burger was cooked a perfect medium. Like many restaurants, Luck Monk offers their regular menu, plus flyers on their specials, including beers and cocktails. Four days later, I went right back there again on my own, to formally review it with photos. I had to go with that same peppercorn burger, because it was just so good, and to make sure the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. I tried out their chili as well, which was also good. This chef knows what he is doing. This stand alone restaurant is easy to get to, and has ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and looks high end, though I found the pricing to be reasonable. It would be a great spot to take clients for a business lunch. It's elegant looking , but unpretentious. The hostess and servers are wonderful. I highly recommend the Lucky Monk!
