Great omelets! Fluffy full of fresh, quality ingredients. And serving size is generous. Also came with pancakes and hash browns. Perfectly hotcakes and the hash browns are just the way I like them. Crispy and BROWN on the outside and tender on the inside. Service is friendly, courteous, and attentive without hovering. Finally, it's reasonably priced! The food here is pretty bland. The quantity is good if you want to get filled up though. Quality- the omelette has no seasoning on it and the hash browns are pretty tasteless. I had to use hot sauce to give it some flavor. The smoked salmon is good and vegetables are fresh. There's nothing special about the pancakes. Quantity- I thought the salmon quantity was a bit lacking for 16 bucks. There is not enough salmon for the amount of vegetables they give. I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time. I wondered if it was a cheaper option for brunch. It is. It has obviously been around for a long time and I'm sure it has a devoted local following. The facility LOOKED run down. If they could spruce it up some I'm sure it would be a lot better. We were seated immediately and our server came over promptly. They have outside seating options as well. Adam had a Kids Grilled Cheese (big, Adam liked it). Tony had the biscuits and gravy (not a lot of sauce; Tony said they could dress it up to improve it). I had the Mile High Skillet. I was a little surprised that it wasn't combined with the hash browns as the base. Drink refills were regular and timely. Overall this is a solid option if you're not looking to spend $$. read more

We were at this restaurant a long time ago I think it was a different owner, we decided to come back again today because we were at Roselle fast and they kept talking about this restaurant so we figured we would give this place another try today. We see that they also serve Mexican food so we know this is not the same place we went to before. It could have also been a different name before. My husband ordered the butcher shop scrambler with hashbrowns and pancakes. He was really impressed with the flavor and freshness of his food. I ordered the Greek omelette with hashed browns and pancakes. The omelette was smaller than I am used too, but the Gyro meat, and the other toppings were very filling. As long as I leave full and impressed with the flavor of the food, I am happy! They even had sugar free syrup. The butter was also room temperature which I love because it is easy to spread on the pancakes. We will be back again for sure! Be sure to check out the specials board by the register. read more

While very unassuming from the outside, Bloomingdale Cafe has a lot of offer on the inside. Serving tasty food by a friendly staff this place is sure to bring a smile to your face and belly. We (6 of us) had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and nearly had the place to ourselves. There is ample seating but, overall, the dining room is not massive. During a busy time I could see you needing to wait. We were quickly attended to after being seated and actually ordered right away (as we all had pretty easy orders). Not much later our food arrived and we dug in. Yum! They sure do a good job at the breakfast basics! The part that was really the cherry on top of the whole experience was the manager (owner?) who came over to perform a simple magic trick for the kids. They loved it and it gave such a warm and welcoming feeling to our visit. To be honest, I've driven past here dozens of times over the years and never once stopped in. I'm glad I now have though because this place has now found itself in my rotation of breakfast spots. read more

Looking for a delicious cozy breakfast place?? Look no further. Idk how I missed this gem but I am glad we came by. When I mean everything is a 5 in my opinion trust me. We had chilaquiles , skirt steak , Nutella crepes and a senior breakfast. Great portion, food was delicious and get customer service. I forgot her name but she was very attentive and sweet. What really stole my heart was little Pablo probably 5-6 years old helping out cleaning tables. Such a cuties reminds me of my childhood when I use to go to work with my dad. OUTSTANDING! The service was great...friendly, quick, and attentive. Generous portions coupled with very reasonable prices was just the beginning. The food was fresh and flavorful! The first time nobody had to reach for salt or pepper. The steak was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned; the chilaquiles was some of the best had anywhere. There must have been at least 2 or 3 pieces of bacon in the omelette. The skillet was filling. We could have eaten the pancakes and french toast without butter or syrup - they were that good. And the horchata was top notch. For those who criticized the decor, I say who cares?!? I recently went to a restaurant that looked nice but the prices were high for some of the portions and the taste was average to low average. We will be back very soon. read more

This has been one of our favorite spots since we moved up here in 2008. The breakfast is always delicious and the service is second to none. We love it so much that we are proud to recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and inviting, delicious experience. The look is a little dated inside, but the menu makes up for it. We came on a Friday for a late breakfast, and we were the only customers. That made me wonder if we'd made a bad choice. Turns out, I don't think enough people know about this little gem. I had the Popeye Omelette with a side of fresh fruit and pancakes. The omelette had spinach, mushrooms, bacon, and Swiss cheese. It was delicious! The fresh fruit contained strawberries, pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, and grapes, all of which were fresh & delicious. The coffee is even great! My fiancé had a Country Omelette with ham, bacon, onion, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and covered in a sausage gravy. He got hash browns, pancakes, and a side of corned beef hash. He liked everything and he's VERY picky when it comes to sausage gravy. The staff was friendly and took care of us quickly. We will definitely come back if we are ever in the neighborhood! read more

Visited for first time this morning. Tasty food. friendly service, bad coffee. When mentioned the bad coffee to our server, he came back after talking with the manager, he told us "you can switch for green tea, but we're still going to charge you for (1) one of the coffees. Say what? What kind of breakfast place has poor coffee. We won't be back. On paying our bill, we mentioned the coffee to the hostess, and she couldn't have cared less. A real bummer. read more

The more I eat here, the better it gets! I tried the carnitas this past weekend and they are by far the best I've had. The homemade corn tortillas are awesome! Their soup is always good. We go on the weekends so it's always cream of chicken rice. I did get to try their chicken noodle once and it was great. The omelets are really good and I still love the ribeye steak and eggs on the weekend. It's good to see them getting busier as time goes by and to see them reinvesting in the business - they recently got new menus, a new light fixture (which is really cool), a paint job on the ceiling, and some accent lighting shining on the ceiling. These are great folks. Great for breakfast and lunch. Im so happy they are surviving because we just werent going anywhere until now because of Covid. Since we have been coming here the wait staff has improved. Probably just normal turnover. They are really making sure that customers are happy. Found a new item i like.... steak/arugula, on rustic bread with poached eggs and hash browns. really good. the skirt steak is chopped into bite size pieces, comes with a side of hollandaise sauce and balsamic sauce.
