    Pretzel Pot Roast Sandwich
    George G.

I had a great experience at Roosters Bar N Grill! The staff was super friendly and quick, making me feel welcome right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has those classic old-school diner vibes -- cozy, relaxed, and full of character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the pot roast sandwich, and it was excellent. The pork was incredibly tender, and the flavor was spot on -- hearty, savory, and perfectly cooked. Definitely a meal that hits the spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Roosters is a great spot if you're looking for good food, friendly service, and a laid-back atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be coming back!

A friend and I went here for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a sizeable place and somewhat busy at lunch on a weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A bunch of noise was coming from the lower level; I think this may be where they have the slots that are advertised outside?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both had the buffalo chicken salad which was plentiful and tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This building seems to have some leakage problems: in the hallway to the restroom was paint that had buckled and some framed photos filled with condensation, so I hope they are mindful of this in regard to mold in the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday as they have endless mimosas, was convenient to family I was visiting and known to family as good waiter there (Justin - pictured, he never lets you go needing anything or empty cups, even gave us mimosas in to go cups!). It is a really home-y atmosphere feels like you're in a living room which is cool, was not crowded and could stay and not feel rushed. We probably drank 4 bottles! lol. The shrimp tacos were very fresh, loved them and loved their variety of hot sauces on side table. No complaints, great service, reasonable prices and best place I ate at in my first visit to Chicago!

Went here this afternoon strictly for the fish fry. 430 pm, open tables upstairs but still a 20 minute wait. Curiously asked if there were any bar tables available and was seated immediately. Cool. Ordered said fish fry and was out within minutes. Piping hot and fresh. Crunchy. Flaky. Accompaniments were on point as well. $21 for AYCE seems steep, but everything is these days. Thanks, Brandon. Service was on point, everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Will be back to try something else.

Very farm friendly decor environment! I have not been here in many years, it still looks the same as before, timeless! There are two floors, downstairs is the main bar area and access to the outdoor patio. Upstairs is the restaurant seating area. Staff is very friendly, attentive and has consistent smiles. Food prices are still reasonable, food portions are very large and plentiful. The food was great everyone that ordered their meals was very happy and completely devoured every piece on their plate! If you are into throw backs or farmed themed I would definitely check this place out!

Keep calm and love roosters! Fun atmosphere!

Came here in March 2025 with my Mother and she hated the french fries. She said they were reheated from the day before.

I loved that I was greeted immediately by someone welcoming me in and opening the doors for me. The elevated breakfast sandwich with avocado and arugula is tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Bonus points for the pillowy soft brioche bun. The coffee is rich and hot here too and I love the individually packaged creamers rather than an open creamer container, like other breakfast places sometimes offer. It took a couple minutes to get seated and a few more minutes for someone to come by and take my order. I've had the purple haze before and loved it. I wanted to try something different and went with the morning meditation. It was refreshing and you can definitely taste the tumeric. For food, I ordered the healthy turkey omelet, potatoes, and a side of chicken sausage. The omelet and potatoes were hot, but the chicken sausage was just warm. There was a good amount of turkey and spinach in the omelet and it will definitely keep me full for a while. Overall, I think the food was good. The service was okay. I think I'll stick to the purple haze next time!

I was seated pretty quickly and given a menu and ordered my standard unleaded coffee - decaf for those of you in the know. The ambience of the place was pretty good - very modern- very nice and it looked like it was very well-maintained. Always a good thing! To be honest? The only demerit was the waitress. Oh, she was good as a waitress, but she was not warm or welcoming - it seemed like she was just going through the motions, albeit professionally. It kind of makes a difference to me, you know? I decided to order a build your own omelette - I got turkey, sausage, turkey, bacon, and green peppers. In addition, I ordered a side of French toast and decided to try the hashbrowns because they look like they were housemade and not frozen. After a short bit of time, the food came out and oh my God! The portions were huge. I ate the French toast first but the only thing I noticed was the syrup was room temperature and not warmed up - not exactly a dealbreaker for me, but it would've pushed them over the top. The hashbrowns? Excellent! I put some hot sauce on the omelette and ate it all up - lickety split! So - would I come back? Probably. But I would hope for a different waitress is all. But I will say this - any breakfast joint that starts getting busy the very moment they open up at 7 AM on Sunday morning? Must be doing something right!

This should have no stars…read more I booked a stay at Eaglewood Resort & Spa through Priceline and had a genuinely awful experience made worse by how Priceline handled it afterward. Worst Hotel stay I have ever experienced. Priceline made it worse by - Misrepresented amenities:The listing advertised amenities that simply weren't available or accessible during our stay. What we booked and what we received were two different things. No out door pool, no golf privileges, no spa steam room, no free WiFi... the list goes on. Undisclosed resort fees: On top of the room rate, we were hit with resort fees that were not made clear at the time of booking. That kind of pricing bait-and-switch shouldn't be allowed on a platform that claims to offer transparent pricing. No running water: During the stay, the room had no running water for an entire day-a basic functioning requirement, not a minor inconvenience. The carpet was dirty, lights and doors were damaged and so was the lamps in the room. The balcony was falling apart and debris was all over the floor. Hazardous accessible room: We had specifically booked an accessible room. The bathtub in that room was unsafe and not actually equipped properly for accessible use. The grout was worn and I fell as a direct result and sustained an injury. Hotel staff deflected responsibility: When I raised these issues directly with hotel staff during the stay, they offered no resolution and instead directed me to take my complaints to Priceline -- even though the hazardous conditions and injury happened on-site, at the property they operate. Failed customer service from Priceline: I then called Priceline multiple times trying to get this resolved. Every call went nowhere no accountability, no real solution offered, and no urgency shown despite the fact that a guest was injured at a property they booked us into. Escalation with no resolution: I've since had to send a formal escalation to Priceline's executive customer service team. And I have called 7 times. No follow up and all emails provided were wrong. As of now, I'm preparing a credit card chargeback, and Better Business Bureau complaint. Neither of these hotel offered a partial refund. Priceline has completely dismissed me entirely.
