Everything I would want in a breakfast place is here - great food, service and ambiance. The menu offered a variety of options from chilaquiles and avocado toasts to crepes and omelets. We came here around 8a on a Saturday and there was no wait for a table. The restaurant filled up quite a bit by 9am. Coffee $3.75 - Bottomless, smooth. Only unflavored creamy on the table. Mediterranean omelet $15 - The feta cheese makes this omelet creamy and savory. Lemon poppy seed crepes $12.50 - Crepes were a little on the thick side, perfectly sweetened with the vanilla bean glaze and went well with sliced kiwi and blackberries. The diced potatoes were equally as good as the block of hash browns. Located on Lake St. by the Holiday Inn Express. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Turkey Club with Gluten Free Bread

We have been to Brunch Cafe at different locations, and this is a new one to add to our list. This one is located within a small strip mall and near a gas station. We arrived after 12:30pm, and it was pretty busy, and luckily we were able to get a table for two. The wait staff was friendly, and asked us for drink order while letting us decide. We also confirmed that they have gluten free bread if we wanted to make any substitution. We ordered Turkey Club (sub with Gluten Free bread), Signature French Toast (not GF, first time trying!), Chicken Noodle Soup (not GF). The Turkey Club also came with a side. The Turkey Club also has bacon so it added some crispiness for the tasty sandwich. The Chicken Noodle Soup was in a good size bowl, and they gave a generous portion of chicken and noodle, so not just the broth. The temperature was just right, hot but not burning. It was great for a cold day! I didn't have any expectation of the Signature French Toast when ordering it. On the first bite, it reminded of a bread pudding. The fresh fruits and the sauces balanced the creaminess from the toast very well. I didn't even need the syrup! It came in three pieces, but I was quite full after one piece due to the richness. If you are looking for a brunch place, try out this place!

I really like this location! The staff are always friendly and attentive. I love the menu and how it's not just your standard breakfast spread. On my most recent visit, I got the breakfast burrito and holy cow it was massive!! I could only eat about half. Yumm

Brunch Cafe is a super cozy spot for a quick breakfast. Luckily there was no wait when I arrived but I like that there is an option to join the waitlist on the Yelp App. Melissa made sure that my coffee was topped off as I enjoyed my meat and potato skillet with two over-easy eggs. The side order of pancakes that came with were fluffy and moist. They also had a secret menu on the table that had some specialty items.

We were in the area for an appointment and decided to get breakfast. So happy we discovered this place! The service was great, food amazing, and the restaurant very clean and comfortable. The only negative is we love too far away to frequent here.

The service at this place was fantastic. They are attentive but not intrusive. There was so much food. The breakfast sliders were perfect. The brioche bun and the egg with the perfect amount of cheese. I had the potato pancake special which was so filling. I could normally eat it all. The French toast and fruit was gobbled up. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular.

got on the waitlist before entering the restaurant. it was about a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad. once seated our server was super nice and chill and just was herself which i appreciated. we got orange juice, water and an iced chai with caramel. the caramel honestly didn't complement the chai, i should have got it on my own. food wise i got the garden omelet with no asparagus and with cheddar cheese and a side of extra crispy hasbrown. everything was made to perfection, i had no complaints. environment was friendly overall and seemed like everything was tidy inside.

Service at this location was great. They are very quick and friendly. Sadly the food did not meet expectations. I would not recommend the chilaquiles as taste was just not what I expected. Maybe it was just this meal. I will try something else next time.

So...not sure the food is good. I just happen to think the attitude is a little worse. Came with a group and someone in our party ordered the French Onion Soup and then a Croque Monsieur. No one else in our group ordered a starter. What's weird is for some reason they decided to course the soup with everyone's mains. Normal restaurants, including like....your local suburban Chile's, know not to do that but this place thought that was normal. So already, my friend is a course behind everyone because they didn't serve his starter first. What's worse is when he finishes his soup...he doesn't get his main. We actually FINISH our mains and he still hasn't gotten his. He makes a comment VERY NICELY to our waitress like hey! Just wanted to check on my meal! She responds, "all our meals are timed perfectly." What!! My buddy goes, "Okay...I've just been waiting for 15/20 minutes so I think I'm ready for my sandwich." She responds, "okay....let me alert the kitchen." Wait? You didn't even tell them he needed his meal?? We wait another 15 minutes. We flag the waitress again and ask where his meal is and she responds "everything is made to order so the kitchen needs some time." Okay. This is a Croque Monsieur. Are you....rising bread right now? What is happening? So I get frustrated and jump into this and say, "Ya but we've been waiting over 30 minutes for his main. We've all finished so now you're asking my friend to eat alone." She responds, "everything is served hot so what is the problem??" !! I get annoyed because up until this moment, we've been pretty nice. But this waitress not acknowledging any issue or trying to make it better and talking back to us like this is weird. So I just say, "Bring a manager over." Well...it didn't matter. This lady learned her attitude from somewhere and it was probably from the manager. The manager immediately is on the offense like, "you ordered a soup and we wanted you to have the soup hot. And we want your next meal to be hot. We make everything fresh and we clean our dishes in between." The heck? All we want is for my friend to be able to eat his main. So I say, now rudely, "just bring the food. We have waited 30 minutes now. Everyone is done with their meal. If you haven't made it, cancel the order and we'll go somewhere else." She responds, "we usually serve the starter first. If you didn't like that, then don't order a starter." SERIOUSLY!? What is happening!? I think about telling her that USUALLY even if only 1 person has ordered a starter, that gets served first before EVERYONE gets their mains TOGETHER. Instead I say, "listen, cancel the order or give us the food but we aren't waiting any longer." And she goes, "we can't cancel it. The kitchen has been working on it." So I say "this better be home baked bread because they've been working on it for 45 minutes by now." IT STILL takes another 5 minutes to get this meal. It is cold. It is an average Croque Monsieur. And they probably all spit in it. At the very end, the waitress comes over and says, "I see what you mean and there were coursing issues but we take pride in our food and we weren't going to degrade that so we could serve you faster." This place literally lives up to a Parisian stereotype, I guess.

Casa De Crepes absolutely blew us away!…read more From the very first bite, it was clear that this place knows how to build serious flavor. We tried both the mild and spicy chilaquiles, and the spicy chilaquiles were incredible. The heat does not overpower you right away. It slowly creeps up on you, and once it does, you definitely feel it, but the reward is the flavor. If you can handle the heat, you are in for something special because the flavor hits immediately and keeps you going back for another bite. Bold, rich, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We also had the Casa Combo with the waffle and s'mores topping, and it was just as impressive. The presentation was beautiful, the portions were generous, and every part of the plate felt like it was made with care. Sweet, indulgent, and packed with flavor without feeling like an afterthought next to the savory dishes. And then came the Nutella crepes. Let me put this into perspective: I have visited Paris multiple times, so I do not say this lightly... CASA DE CREPES IS THE KING OF CREPES IN CHICAGO! The crepes were absolutely phenomenal. Perfect texture, incredible flavor, and the kind of dessert that makes you stop talking for a second because you are too busy enjoying it. This was not just a good meal. This was one of those experiences where every plate made us excited to try the next one. Amazing food, explosive flavors, beautiful presentation, and a menu that clearly has something special going on. Casa De Crepes has officially earned a spot on our must-return list. Do yourself a favor and come hungry!

Easy to split with the other kids. The ironman in comparison is so tiny and not worth the price-- which is really just paying for the "health" aspect of it. I get it. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location.
