Our 1 and only day of Sunny skies and vacation snowboarding , my daughter's binding didn't actually fit her one boot and the very nice but obviously not diligent rep checked one boot, but not the other. Once we were on the mountain and realized that it was impossible for my daughter to buckle her toe strap on her one binding, we literally had a front row parking spot in the lot was full, so, instead of losing our "disabled parking space", Each time she undid her binding, I would have to go and muscle the two pieces together, on top of her foot, where the binding strap isn't designed to go. At 10,000 feet from sea level, this stress and continued effort to "do it herself" became a serious frustration, that was unfortunately chipping away at her good day:/ Then, my binding LITERALLY, came off my board in the middle of the lift! In almost 30 years of snowboarding I've never had or seen that happen! At this point the day was 1/2 done, and our emotional energy dealing with this equipment was completely done. We left our front row parking space and drove to Bryan's head sports with less than half the day gone and the sun shining... I went inside and went straight to the owner Chip Kip or whatever the heck his name is, and showed him what happened to my binding and told him about my daughters binding. I never even spoke to anyone else, so your assertion that I had contact with any other employees, is a lie. The only other employees I spoke with were the original tech when we rented the boards and, when I purchased 2 overpriced basic gaiters for about $70 Likei said, I told your husband, what had happened and what our day had looked like because of the equipment, he then immediately started questioning me about had we tested the boots in the bindings there when we rented them (like a d*ck) and I told him we are not the experts you're employee is the expert who should've tested that but yes, I ASKED HIM TO CHECK THAT! Condescendingly he said "well he obviously didn't do his job". And with his High Energy condescending tone he said, let's check the binding... I showed him the mechanism that connects my binding was broken and needed to be replaced. That pissed him off again, but then he got a new binding put it on, asking me if every return of the screw is OK, saying "is this better with another condescending tone. A total POS. I said, yes. He fixed the binding and said will that be all ? Again In a condescending tone. And I said no. Our day has been ruined, I'd like to be compensated. He then asked if I was snowboarding the next day. I said we planned to. He then said to me, we will talk about "compensation" when you return the equipment the next day. Wanting nothing to do with his attitude, I said fine and I left. Our experience with Bryan head sports their equipment and their customer service in the face of adversity, ruined our vacation. Fortunately, awesome people and businesses between Zion and Bryce, made our next week of vacation so good, we all but forgot about these a holes until their BS response to my review. Avoid this place.., if you have any issues it's going to be a nightmare and both of our rental equipment had serious issues. read more

We've been coming up to BrianHead for our family winter vacation for the last 9 years. I have never really had the opportunity to shop until today. My son's board strap broke. We took it here based on a recommendation. A staff member assisted us immediately. I think his name was "T". I posted a photo in hopes management will see this and pass the message along to this super friendly staff. He was great and knowledgeable in ski/board repairs. This is the only place to go. Right next to the main Brianhead lift. Not your typical rental place at all. The shop is clean and huge and they stock everything ski, snowboard or other snow sports related. Renting our ski gear was quick and easy. Very friendly staff helped us pick out the correct equipment for our skill level and conditions. Gear was in excellent, like new condition. Nice selection of clothing, souvenirs and stickers too. Doug is hands down the best employee you could ever have. I was trying to find a new set of gloves after getting a rip in my main set. . Doug was more than happy to listen to my key points about what I wanted in gloves and point me in the right direction. he made me aware of the clearance section before showing me to the main selection of gloves, he took the time to answer questions i had about materials and durabilities. After couple runs with the new gloves I decided to see what else Doug had to recommend, without fault he took me to the best looking jacket in the shop with a great price/specs and good gracious he couldn't have been more right. 11/10 recommend to people looking for help! read more

If I could give them a 0 star, I would. Buy your gear before you get up the mountain. There is limited selection, and they will talk you into too big of boots, then not let you return or exchange them once you figure out they dont work. Before the owner even looked at our problem, he gave us an attitude about returning boots we bought less than 24 hours ago. Their worker helped fit the boot to the board and never mentioned the severity of toe drag. We got in line for the chair and were tripping non-stop before even making it up. The parking lot is a mud parking lot, so there was light debris on them you could easily wipe off with a wet rag. They never mentioned a NO RETURN POLICY, and the owner sternly said he can't help us and pretty much to go screw ourselves, and thanks for giving them our money. On the receipt, it says returns must be brought in within 30 days. Maybe i should take this to a lawyer? Maybe the better business bureau? No where at all does in mention you can't return boots. Let alone if you have problems at all with your boots they won't help, he said "too many people come up and realize they have problems once they're up here not in San Diego". He made it very clear he doesn't like tourist and their many problems they bring with them. Yet, this didn't even relate to us. We bought the boots from them! Going here and spending our money was a waste of time, I can only hope nobody else gets caught in their scam, too. We literally just wanted a different size or money back, but they couldn't meet in the middle, so I unfortunately have to write this review. Hopefully, you don't get stuck with $400 boots that don't fit properly. read more

They were very attentive when we arrived they got us outfitted with all of our ski gear but when we went to go ski I realized they gave me 2 right boots. We went in the day before so we could be on the mountain as soon as it opened but we ended up being delayed by an hour. It wasn't a huge loss of time but it was not what we planned for so it was a bummer. Since we we're only going to ski for one day we wanted to make the most out of the time we had. I'm giving them 3 stars because they should have caught that. They didn't even ask if they could take 10% of or give us some type of discount. read more

What an awesome experience to walk in with our 4 families, 9 kids and be taken care of with delight. I cannot say enough good things about Chip and his wife. My wife is an experienced skier but I am a total beginner. We visited this past summer so granted it was their slow season. However, Chip spent at least 45 minutes with us answering questions and helping me find my first pair of ski pants. Wife got some clothing as well and so did our little boy. They even were kind enough to let us bring our dog in so we could all shop at the same time! These people are so friendly and super helpful. I always dread the ski rental fiasco with my whole family. Not here!!! Took us right in, efficient, accommodating, and my kids commented on how nice they were. Even carried out skis to the car for us and recommend what trails to start on. Who does that??? We began our journey at the main giant steps lodge. Even the Brian Head worker said don't rent from them. The wait was over an hour. So glad we came here. Best rental experience of my life. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. I rented snowboards for my family and I. I figured out snowboarding wasn't for me within and hour of snowboarding and went back to the shop to trade in the board for some skis, boots and poles. Again the man (I forgot his name) helped me out and I was on my way to the slopes. There was no need to make a reservation for equipment, but you might want to call just to verify that there is equipment for you to rent. I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to leave a good one for this shop because we had a such a good experience. I was in the shop several times over the last week and the entire staff is cool, helpful and funny - they joke a lot in there. They make renting easy and fun. After telling them my predicament they put me in a pair of K2'S. They were so patient with this old lady. Took the time with me even though they were so busy. I'll be back to rent gear for my niece. Great place to get your gear. We travelled from Hawaii for our first trip to Brian Head. Brianhead Sports was one of our first stops as we checked out the town. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Chip and his friendly staff. They were awesome ! We spent a few minutes checking out the store then we went up stairs to look at their rentals. They had great gear. T, Miguel and Bob answered all our questions and got all 5 of us squared away. Their customer service was top notch. RIP OFF! Rented a ski performance package ($40) for my daughter, asked if we could switch to snowboard $20 when boots didnt fit. "Sure no problem" and we'll "settle up at the end" of 4 days since maybe she'll want to go back to skis. Dont trust what they say. 4 days later there are fees for switching. Of course they equal the difference of $80... how convenient for them. Been back and forth with Heather and she offered $43 back. That was a month ago... I am going to chalk this up as $80 "tuition." My family were up in Brianhead for holidays from December 28 to January 3rd, 2019. Rented ski gear first time at Brianhead Sports. There were seven of us total on different days skiing and we only went there because we were so impressed originally by their service. Had entire group of staff who worked with us, gave us advice. Rolled in after making the trip up from Vegas. I was in need of a snowboard and boots to match. The GF brought me here and it was with ease that I acquired everything I would need to hit the slops. The service was awesome! To the the affable lady at the counter in the shop to those upstairs making the rental magic happen, it all made for a pleasant experience. The transaction in the rental area was efficient and given I knew my shoe size and that I rode regular everything was quick and painless. BSI was generous enough to allow me the use of their dressing room so I could change out into my snow boarding apparel. The return was just as friendly and just as easy. After a quick inspection of the board and boots, I was out the door. I was also reminded to destroy every bit of the carbon copy slip of the credit card deposit I had originally put down. Went in for snowboard rentals and was ready to hit the slopes within a few minutes with quality gear for a great price. They made sure to size me in the most comfortable boots and were efficient and friendly. At the same time, they waxed my friend's board, and they did an amazing job. The board was so smooth! I stopped by again when taking a break from snowboarding and purchased a few things here. The girl at the counter was friendly and gave great advice about the products for sale. They have shirts, sweaters, pants, snowboarding and ski gear, beanies, etc. They sell oxygen bottles that help if you're experiencing symptoms of altitude sickness! When I went back to return rentals, I was met with the same service and hospitality. A snowstorm had started that day and they even advised us on where to stop for lunch on our trip, and that if we had any problems, we could come back and they'd help us out with route, etc. If you're looking for the best customer service around, this is the spot!
