We stopped here on our way from Bryce Canyon to the Grand Canyon for coffee and I wish we could have spent a whole hour here. My husband and I were on a road trip in Kanab and looking for organic coffee. Willow Canyon Outdoor came up as a suggestion on Yelp, so we decided to give them a try. The store was nice and small and geared towards outdoor activities like canyoneering. There aren't really any food options, but that's okay because they have delicious organic coffee! We ordered a sugar-free medium vanilla latte and a sugar free medium hazelnut latte with almond milk. I wish they offered coconut milk as that is always our preference, but the lattes we received were still very good. The barista asked how many shots of espresso we wanted in our lattes as they are not Starbucks and always ask! We would definitely return here on our next visit to Kanab. read more

All I can say is Wow! This place is like a mini REI , bookstore AND coffee shop. We arrived on a Saturday at 9:30. I was in need of hiking shoes because I nearly slid off the rock at the Sand Caves due to poor traction. The staff greeted us right away and helped us find the right shoe for me all while making me a lavender honey latte. The store carries Oboz shoes, Smart wool, Toad and co and Patagonia apparel. The book section of the store has a great selection of classics and book club titles along with area specific reading. My partner and I stopped by around noon on a Sunday for lattes. The place has a coffee bar, book selection, and outdoor gear section. I ordered the Paria Pleasure (caramel and mint) and my partner ordered The Pollinator (honey and cinnamon). Both drinks were about $6 each and were delicious. They ask how many shots you'd like and what type of milk you prefer. There was plenty of parking behind the building and they have entrances on both sides. Such a little gem! We stayed down the street, basically next door, at Sun and Sand motel. We were breaking up our road trip and Kanab tends to be the perfect spot and offers all the necessary w mentors. Before we hit the road Sunday morning, we were looking for some coffee. Many of the local places did not open until 8 but Willow Canyon opened just early enough at 7. My husband got a drip coffee, but I decided to get their wind walker latte, which is ginger and lavender. Yummmmm. It definitely hit the spot. In addition to their coffee options, they do have some pre-packaged bites. Mainly trail food such as bars and granola, but substantial enough if you're looking for something to hold you over. What was really cool about this place was all the gear. My husband and I see gear junkies and love visiting local here shops. I found the most beautiful blanket I ended up getting as a gift. Overall, great stop for coffee and obviously awesome option if you're going to hit the local canyons or Zion. Its small, but covers all the bases and even had a great book selection. read more

Omg the best latte I've ever had: we got their blackberry chocolate latte and it was amazing! It was very flavorful but not too sweet. We wished we could have the recipe and/or buy more. This coffee stand is inside the outdoor store, and there are also books and souvenirs for the area. The whole shop is super cute, highly recommend as a pit stop. Parking is the rear of the building and can be tight, so not great if you have a larger vehicle/big rig. Went in there and the employee clearly saw my husband and I walk in. She was busy yapping away with some customer - she never acknowledged us - so rude! Maybe me speaking Spanish to my husband bothered her- who knows . We found out about this store from reading a piece in The New Yorker written by someone who had taken a road trip across the US during COVID. Since they had been touted as selling the best espresso (and hiking gear) in town, as well as taking precautions with enforcing mask wearing with customers and staff, and having hand sanitizer readily available, we decided to check it out and were not disappointed. Hands down we had the best espresso at Willow Canyon Outdoor and we were happy to support a local business doing their part to lower the spread of the virus. But I drove to the cafe with the best reviews in the morning hoping that in this small town, there would be some hidden gem that served amazing coffee. Took one sip and it went into the trash. Became a repeat customer as soon as we tried out their chai tea with almond milk! They have a variety of hot drinks including spicy hot chocolate and lattes and some really neat books to browse. We needed a pair of rubber tips for our hiking poles and they had them, actually pretty much anything you might need for an outdoor adventure. My husband found the perfect warm wool hat and we enjoyed chatting with the super helpful and friendly staff who had lots of great tips about the area. We ended up there twice in two days and when we return to Kanab we will be back for sure! read more

The best lattes we have ever had. Hands down. (Great customer service, too!) We are avid coffee drinkers, consuming many cups a day. We also travel quite and make a point to stop in local coffee shops to try their specialities. We stayed in Kanab for a few days and walked to Willow Canyon Outdoor to give it a shot and we were not disappointed. We tried the honey & lavender latte (can't remember the name of it) with almond milk and were raving about it the rest of the day. As a side note, we were also extremely appreciative of the COVID-19 precautions the staff were taking: mask required for entry, prompted to wash hands upon entry as well, not taking any returns, etc. 10/10 coffee shop. read more
