I had to take it to the nearest open repair shop and pay again for front brake repairs to make the car drivable again. I later learned Capitol Hill Auto had used aftermarket parts without telling me or identifying that on the invoice. I asked them to reimburse the front brake portion of the original repair, and after one defensive response, they stopped replying. I would not trust them with repairs again. Update: Capitol Hill Auto ultimately reimbursed me for the front brake portion of the original repair after multiple follow-ups and filing an official consumer complaint. I appreciate that they eventually did so. Given the circumstances and the amount of effort required to get a resolution, I still would not return.

We towed it to the Tysons Subaru dealership where it was purchased, thinking they'd do the best job. The dealership took 3 WEEKS to even get us AN ESTIMATE, and they wanted to replace the ENTIRE electrical system for NEARLY $6,000. We wanted a second opinion. A friend recommended Moshe's Auto Care -- backed up by stellar reviews. When we called, Moshe was kind and honest. He couldn't give us an estimate without seeing the car, but having decades of experience, he couldn't imagine charging thousands for rodent damage. The car was towed to Moshe, and he started work immediately. He was able to repair -- not replace -- the wiring, for LESS THAN $400. And he did it in half a day. We finally had our car back, fully functional, within hours vs. weeks. Dealership: 3 weeks, nearly $6,000. Moshe: 3 hours, under $400.
