We got carry out here and we're pretty much disappointed with everything. My husband ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken and an order of breadsticks. The salad looked great! Chicken grilled nicely! BUT no salad dressing on it or in the carry-out bag. WTH! Greek salad dressing is not something we have on in fridge so he had to muddle through with whatever we had on hand. My mom ordered chicken picatta. Her chicken was probably over cooked as it was tough or maybe that was just the chicken breast. I don't recommend ordered this for carryout either, especially in colder weather as the sauce on it and the butter on the green beans congealed and looked rather disgusting. I ordered the chicken tender dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken tenders were homemade and not pulled out if the freezer and then cooked. Very seasoned - which I enjoyed but if you want a plan ol' chicken tender like most restaurants would have, you may not like these as there was a bit of what seemed like Italian seasoning in the batter. It came with a side salad and mashed potatoes. I did not eat either of those that night as I had eaten all five chicken tenders and a few breadsticks. The next evening I pulled the mashed potatoes out of the fridge and tasted them before I put them in the microwave to see if I wanted to add any seasoning. I honestly do not know if they were ok to eat or not. They had a strange taste to them - a slight tang that just didn't sight right on my palette, like an ingredient was sour that they used when making it. Finally, my side salad was a miss. The lettuce itself was fresh and it had about three slices of cucumber and two cherry tomatoes on it. That's it - quite simple salad. However, I wanted thousand island dressing either it and the small container of it had a 12/24 date written on the top. Did they make the dressing that day or put it in the containers that day??? Either way, that's a bad vibe given we placed our order on Jan 9th. I know the salad dressing, if bottled, would still be good, but seeing that date from over two weeks prior is off putting. Supposedly this place got a new chef recently. Maybe it's time to get another because based on what we experienced on Jan 9th, I won't be back. This place closed for 6 months and recently re-opened with a new chef, new management, new staff and a freshened up menu - and I gotta say, congrats pine house! You've made the ultimate come back! The new spinach and artichoke dip is now in my top 5 all time favorites! Highly recommend ordering breadsticks and using those as the vessel for the S&A dip. Also had a Philly cheese steak that was on special, and it was the best I've ever had with hand cut fries. Husband had a burger and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection as well. Staff were also great! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Probably one of the best meals we've had out to eat all year. I really hope they can hang on to build this place back up. I went to the restaurant with 16 ladies today, our waitress Montana did a great job. My meal was 3 tacos and margarita for $12.00, it was excellent. I did not hear anyone that did not like our meal. Pine House has some of the best food in town. It looks like a cute little cabin from the outside. The big stone fireplace and animal heads are a bonus. They have a beautiful wine wall with different kinds of wine bottles. We have been here with and without our kids and have never had a bad experience. Stopped in last evening and ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, and was amazed at the size of the blackened Ahi Tuna steak. It was huge, deliciously seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The presentation of the salad was also a surprise, with carrot shreds on one side and perfectly ripened avocado slices on the other with the sliced Ahi on top. Also came with a house-made orange sesame ginger dressing. Definitely will be back, getting a perfectly cooked Ahi is hard to find around here. read more

The building is clean and renovated, however overwhelming amount of color televisions makes it difficult to give attention to the live band or even to have a discussion between sets. Tried them out for the 1st time. Called in a carry out on a Saturday night. Got the beef tip appetizer. Very good! Husband had prime rib, medium rare. Was cooked perfectly. Served with side of crisp vegetables and a salad. I wanted the nachos (listed in menu online) but only available on Tuesdays. Settled on a chicken dish (smokehouse chicken?) topped with bbq sauce, bacon, and cheese. Chicken was very thin and dried out. But the bacon was nice and crisp. The Model T Ford club I belong to recently visited the Pine House Kitchen for lunch while on our annual color tour. With only two hours notice, the restaurant set up tables around the fireplace so all 30 of us could sit together. The wait staff were friendly and efficient, the food great and the seating conducive to conversation. Our group enjoyed the Pine House and will likely visit them again. We are so glad we found this place! We moved up in this area a year ago and the food options are limited. We decided to get carry out for Mother's Day this year and have loved it every time since then! We always get the chicken picatta, the sauce is seriously to die for. We've also had the prime rib and chicken parmesan- both very good and they give such a generous portion. Everything tastes homemade, right down to the chocolate chip cookies. I have been to the steakhouse three times now. The first time was opening weekend and we went in about an hour before closing. I was not impressed. The staff was inattentive, and the food was so so. I chalked it up to being opening weekend, and everyone was exhausted. I went in again last month, and there had been a huge change because the food was fabulous the wait staff was amazing and I would have given this place five stars. [I got the spinach artichoke dip and it was the best I have ever had!] I went in again last week and although the service was still good, I got the same appetizer I had gotten the previous visit and it was not as good. The entire meal was a bit lackluster and lacking in flavor. I'm not sure if the restaurant is just having growing pains, or if they have different chefs each weekend, but as of right now I'm giving it three stars because you never know what you're going to get! read more

Last weekend When my wife and I sat down at a table in the bar area it took at least 10 minutes before a server came to our table . Took at least another 10 minutes to get our drinks . My steak was over cooked and my wife"s chicken was cold . Waitress/bartender seemed annoyed with us . WeIl, if that wasn't bad enough , there was an employee sitting at the bar on her phone facetiming for almost the entire time!! First time in to check it out this week and I must say I am a fan. Service was particularly good; the staff is very friendly and outgoing. Atmosphere is hip with a touch of warm and cozy. The food was good too, although we ordered basic menu items (i.e. appetizer and sandwich) I will be going back to try some of their dinner entrees. If I had a couple suggestions for them I would HIGHLY recommend placing a small advertisement sign on the corner of Dryden and Capac Road with an arrow " New Restaurant/Bar 10 minutes down the road" (Similar to a home for sale nothing over the top) I say this because my husband and I found this place by driving down Dryden last weekend, not because we had heard of it. There are not many decent places to eat in our area and I know many people are searching for a place to go. You will hit it big with signs down Capac road! If this were my place I would want to know the good and the bad. With that said the only negatives I have is (1) the coke was on the flat side, (2) the beer was not as cold as it should have been (3) A bit musty smelling - nothing a little airing out/deodorizer cannot handle, (4) visible fruit in the cooler behind the bar that is past its life expectancy. Went with my husband, I had the beef tips dinner, the salad was extremely small the beef tips were great again small portions for the price. My husband had a hamburger he said it was great but the potato chips were very overcooked and bland. The waitress was GREAT! It's well worth the drive from the city! Very good food and friendly staff. I had the Chicken Picatta (two baked, boneless breasts topped with lemon picatta sauce served with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables) along with a spring salad. My sister had the Pine House Club (grilled salmon with applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomatoes with pesto mayo nestled on a ciabatta bun). The meals are enough to take some home for lunch the next day! We were both too full to order from the amazing dessert menu.
