Usual visits to other dentist's offices often leave you feeling exhausted, out of patience, often in pain, and harshly judged. Well, if you want that, you can go to any Castle Dental and get exactly what you expect. If you're tired of being treated like you're sub-human, though, you should book an appointment at Dr. Huang's office. Briar Forest Dental Group is different in every aspect of a dental visit, and it shows. In the past I'd often been made to wait, sometimes hours at a time, to be seen in spite of showing up early. At Briar Forest, I've never spent more than five minutes in his waiting room. In the past, immediately on opening my mouth for inspection, I'd get lectured about drinking sodas, smoking, or anything else I did or didn't do outside of obsessively cleaning and maintaining my teeth. At Briar Forest, I'm in a no judgement zone. The staff here understands that life is a little more complicated than that and that it isn't easy to fit in the time to floss four times a day, rinse with flouride, and brush after every meal. I've never been made to feel ashamed or embarassed to be treated here. In my past experiences at other dentists, I was often left waiting in a chair with my mouth propped open for hours while the dentist took care of the three other patients they'd booked at the same time. It is unfortunately commonplace at other dental offices to be made to feel like you're on some sort of assembly line. In Dr. Huang's office, I am taken care of as an individual through Dr. Huang's quick, efficient work. The doctor and his staff are kind, patient, and they actually remember who you are between visits. I know, it's strange to go into a dental office and be treated like a real human being and not a problem mouth with insurance cards and money, but these folks here are a close-knit unit of dental professionals that have worked well together for years. You can go in and expect to be treated like an old friend. Before finding this place I had a near paralytic fear of visiting the dentist. While the occasional root canal is never exactly what I'd consider a fun experience, Briar Forest Dental Group doesn't strive to make the rest of the experience painful as well like other dentists have done and continue to do. For that, I'd give them an extra star if I could. Dr. Huang and his staff will take great care of you. I moved recently and now I live an hour away from these offices, but I still insist on going out of my way to see this dentist. The best place ever! I was told I'd have to pay $800+ for my extractions and my appointment date was soooo far away! I came to Briar Forest Dental Group and got an emergency extraction and the cost was much better than I had been offered by any other oral surgeon. been there for the past 5 years. They're always so willing to accommodate my requests, such as "can I have laughing gas when I have my teeth clean?" LOL. the lady who does the tooth cleaning is wonderful too. My husband said she is the best he has ever seen so far. What i like most about this office is that the waiting time is short, the average waiting time is usually less than 10 minutes. I think the longest that I have to wait was the first time because they have to verify my insurance, but usually I was been see quickly by Dr Huang. Dr Huang had placed 3 dental implants on me and it did not hurt at all. The surgery was done quickly and no even a slightly swollen later. The whole surgical experience was very nice and not scary at all. I have been coming to this office for 3 years and i highly recommended BFDG... two thumbs up !! read more

My family visited this dental office for years. The staff is great! I got nothing but the best to say about their service. My two little girls (3 years old and 5 years old) love to visit the office. They feel right at home with the friendly staff. Recently, I'm done with my Clear Correct treatment, it's an alternative to braces. I tried the braces, it was just not for me. So, I switched to Clear Correct, which uses removable clear trays to adjust my teeth. I had the best experience using the Clear Correct. With the Clear Correct, I can remove the tray when I brush and eat - Plus I don't look like a teenager with a braces. Clear Correct gives me the flexibility that I needed and the result is perfect. I recommended Clear Correct to my friends and a few of them are going through the Clear Correct treatment. They all have positive feedback. Dr. Paichun Huang was very rude to me. He does not understand proper bedside manners. I felt he mistreats and looks down on you if you are non-white. He was very argumentative and forced me to perform an xray which I did not want to go thru. read more

I'd not recommend this dentist's office. horrible bedside manners and push unnecessary procedures. If you decide to visit dentists, check with your insurance on charges billed by the dental office. Even though the insurance is paying for it 100%, it is immoral to have unnecessary procedures with elevated prices. This will make health insurance premiums more expensive for us all. Just keep an eye on what was billed to your insurance, don't just clap on you didn't get a bill. If you can, I recommend to choose another dentist in the area. read more

I'd like to write a fair review for people searching for the right dentist. My experience with Briar Forest Dental left me with mixed views. I believe they offer competent dental services, and the staff and Dr. Huang seem like good people. My hesitation in recommending this practice comes from my overall experience. My appointment for my dental exam and cleaning was 40 min behind schedule, due to a hygienist being unable to come in that day. I would have appreciated a call from the office letting me know they were double booked, so I could have had the chance to reschedule. During my appointment there were frequent times when the staff was bouncing between patients, leaving a lot of extra wait time. I also feel that the service I received was rushed. Three of my bite wings had to be redone, and the dental exam was very quick: 2-3 min at most. Admittedly I have good teeth, but it was a faster exam than any I have previously had. The dental cleaning was also the first where my gums have bled profusely, which I attribute to quick and hard scaling. Separate from this, I noticed some other things I am not accustomed to, but could be common in other practices. The instrument tray was not unwrapped from its plastic protection, instead the instruments were laid on top. During the cleaning the suction device was hooked to my mouth and left continuously running. When changing from water to air the extra water was sprayed on my bib, mostly, rather than in a sink. Before I left I was asked to address my own reminder card, though they had just received my address in my patient forms. The interior of the office could use a little TLC, but this could be because of the landlord and not the practice. The entirety of my visit, from my appointment time to conclusion, was two hours and twenty minutes. Due to the overall experience, I will not return to this practice. read more

I agree with the previous comment. The people in this office are rude and very ill mannered. They believe in charging you for some ridiculous fees even after you having an insurance. My wife went to them and they said she needs a crown. They add some stupid fees like "Lab Fees" that they cant' justify and asks us to pay 400$ for that Then they also mention that she needs a deep cleaning and tells she will have to pay 400$ and when I call them and ask why do she has to pay 400$ when I got my treatment done for 200$ by my dentist, reply comes why don't you take your wife to your dentist! We just attended this office because it was nearby our house. We are never going back there and save your time and lots of money. visit some other dentist. Pathetic, pathetic service! read more

Lifesaver! We've all at one time or another been in extreme pain caused by a toothache. I admit procrastination is bad, but I thought " it's just my wisdom tooth". I was WRONG! Without an appointment I walked in with " someone give me pliers so I can pull it out myself" kind of pain. Greeted by the receptionist, she let me know it was about a 30min wait. Being visibly in pain, she spoke with the dentist, Dr. Huang. And actually got me in within 10min. And I was in and out within 20min!!! Dr Huang was great! Very down to earth! His staff, can't say enough kind words! My tooth, gone. The pain, gone!!! Thank you Dr. Huang and staff for going beyond, and saving me from pulling out my own tooth with pliers!!! i have been to a lot of dentists and this by far Dr Convert is the best. It is so hard to find a good dentist that actually puts your needs first and not how much money they want to bill you. Just like the previous patient stated they upsell. I live closeby and took my cousin there as he was visiting me and my own dentist is far away- close to my work. They got his x-ray done and did the cleaning. They only scraped teeth a bit with the dental picks here and there and applied prophylaxis. They never discussed or explained the x-rays taken. All they want is milk the insurance with any procedures left for the year and bill them. My cousin was not even close to decent teeth cleaning. I do not recommend this place to anyone going forward. I was here to do 3 wisdom tooth extraction. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Huang did an amazing job on my teeth. I didn't even notice the first two teeth he pulled out. The 3rd was a little more difficult because it grew outside ways, but dr. Huang was still very gentle and always asked me if I ever felt uncomfortable. I had a very painless experience here. This is my 3rd visit. Dr. Huang is always nice and like to make small chat when I visit to clam my nervousness (I hate going to dentist). I went there last week for a regular clean up, the place is still clean and the staff was very friendly. I think I got a different experience then the other 2 reviews.
