We are traveling and on our route we looked for a nice place to eat. Well we ended up here and when being seated. We asked for a nice quiet place and hostess tried to sit us in the bar. Then proceeded to the restaurant area that had more people, trying to stress to her we wanted something quiet she was very frustrated. so the manager stepped in and said sit where you would like. so we wanted a quiet area by the window. Never had a problem in all our years with anybody seating us in a quiet place. People are very respectful on doing so. Our waitress was good very polite and professional. Food was good we got the pizza rolls and a chicken avocado salad. Atmosphere was nice. Bathrooms were clean. read more

My wife and I were in Conway for the weekend and having never visited the area and we had no clue where to eat. I love to research local type establishments for food and drink. I use Yelp and Google to find us interesting spots as we travel chasing our college baseball player. I knew we would be after 9:30 on Friday night and I saw that Brick & Forge served food until midnight. Luckily we made a great choice. Our waiter Aubrey was right on cue when I asked his menu favorites. He asked if I was really hungry (and I was) the Chicken fried chicken was huge and delicious. He was right in both accounts. The chicken was moist and tender and accented with an excellent crunchy battered fried crust. The chicken breast was huge! Came with mashed potatoes and white gravy on both. Paired with a house salad it was just what I needed on a cold, windy night. My wife ordered the Hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and a salad. Good sized portion with great flavor. Another comfort food winner. We both had so much food we couldn't finish! Aubrey told us about the weekend brunch so we actually slept in and headed there at 11 since our baseball game began at 2. Gave us time to sample the bacon wrapped cinnamon rolls. Rich and delicious. Sweet n savory just right. I had Avacado toast with scrambled eggs on top. Really hearty but lighter side. My wife had the breakfast plate of eggs, bacon and home fries. All just right with a couple Bloody Mary's (ZingZang) with a list of garnishment options on the "build your own Bloody Mary" order sheet. Perfect start to the day! I doubt we will be through Conway again but if we do Brick & Forge will be on our "to do" list. The service, vibe and food was all really enjoyable. Good job! read more

Let's start with the service. The waitress we had was so soft spoken we could hardly hear her, and for a bar/restaurant you gotta speak up. And I don't know if the waitress was getting so many tables, but she wasn't very good. And I really hate to say that about people, maybe I just wasn't her day. Ok, now on to the food. I got chicken and waffles. And this was so soaked in syrup I could not eat it. And they fried my chicken to death. Didn't taste good at all. The beer we got a selection of beers that the waitress recommended, which 1 out of 5 was good. The pizza was gross and greasy, the club my wife got was nothing but a normal sandwich. Traveling through the state and decided to stop in Conway. Nice restaurant and server was friendly and did a good job. But the reason I wanted to leave a review was that the fried chicken was sooo delicious! My husband had the chicken fried chicken and I had the chicken tenders meal with a side of mac and cheese. The portions were really substantial. We could have split either meal and probably still had some left. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The flavor was great. Okay so new to Conway, located in the Old Chicago building you will find the gem. Well they don't actually brew on prem maybe due to a dry county. Had a couple of brews and were great Dirty Sally a brown ale order it. So you know I am a pizza guy this place does not disappoint, dough 10.5 out of 10, sauce 10.5 out of 10 only wish more of it. We had the fried pickles and those are the best in town. Staff very friendly as well, still looks like OC but food is so much better. Now here is the down side. Absolutely one of my favorite places in Conway. Initially I thought it was going to just be a bar with mediocre food, however that isn't the case at all. Everything I've had here has been absolutely amazing. Some of my favorites include: sea salt caramel fries, macaroni, and any of the tacos! If you go for brunch, you absolutely have to get the great deal that is the mimosa flight. The only thing I've been disappointed in is the pizza, but it was still okay. The service is always great, and I've never waited over 10 minutes to be sat. There's always great music playing as well! read more

First of all, this is Old Chicago. It is in the same building with the same decorations and basically the same menu. The service was good but the food was not. We got the forged nachos (Old Chicago's Italian nachos) and they were lukewarm. The cheese wasn't even melted. However, the flavor was good. The sea salt caramel fries were too much, but the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow sauce were good. The forged crispy chicken sandwich tasted like soap. The bbq bacon burger was drowning in sauce. The bang bang burger and the fried okra were the best things we had. The food was very disappointing. read more

Listen I am a foodie and very particular. This place was stellar! I found it on yelp and thought it was like a pizza & beer bar setting. I was wrong! The menu is very broad and I had a $5 margarita to start and my appetizer was the spinach artichoke dip. It was the best I've ever had. The only complaint is that the chips were not strong enough to actually dip it with a chip but they do supply a spoon so they know it already. Then for my main course I had a half pound burger which they have several different burgers mine had the jalapeños with a salad. The burger was cooked to perfection and the searing was perfect. You could also taste the char which I love. The salad was very surprising how loaded it was, this is definitely a five star review and I highly recommend this place. It's really not far off the beaten path! prices were not bad and oh the service, the waitress I had was unbelievable. She remembered everything left nothing out checked on me precisely at the right time I gave her a good tip, she was great! I'm telling you just an overall great experience thank you brick and forge the wonderful experience. I am actually considering driving my wife, the 4 1/2 hours just so she can try it! I will be back! We visited here on a Sunday evening, about 6:00 p.m., August 15, 2020. We were seated immediately and placed our drink order a few minutes later. We ordered our dinner and approximately 30 minutes later, our food came out, part of it. There were four of us. Two burgers w/fries, one chicken Alfredo, and one crispy chicken sandwich. The burgers, and chicken sando were good. The chicken Alfredo, we were tons would not be ordered again(nonissue because we will not be back) My fries came out with my chicken sando. Extremely overcooked, "loaded", they were NOT. Roughly, 15 minutes later, after everybody was done eating, the other two orders of fries came out. The excuse was the the fry cook was "just slow". The app we ordered were the cheese sticks. Obviously, they were not homemade but the frozen kind. Also, the sweet potato, caramel and bacon fries. See the pictures, these cost $7.99. You decide for yourself. Bad food, bad service= will not be back and will tell others to avoid. read more

This new restaurant is in the former Old Chicago Pizza. I happen to stumble across it online looking for a new place to eat. We got there just in time to be seated right away. When we left there were tons of people waiting to be seated. Wife & I started with a Kickin' Shrimp appetizer......delicious!!! Spiciness creeps up on you towards the end. Perfect night for a couple cold beers. Started with a tall Blue Moon and washed down my entree with their house BF Blonde, very refreshing!! I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken w/ Loaded Mashed Potatoes and Mac N Cheese. The white gravy on the chicken was a bit thin and bland and the fried crust became saughy quickly. You can tell it hadn't been drip dried out of the fryer properly. The loaded mashed potatoes were decent although I would have asked for no sour cream in them if I knew that's how they came. The mac n cheese was phenomenal!!! Needless to say we did not leave hungry and our waitress was 100% spot on, very polite, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere was loud if you are looking for that. Tea was the weakest we've ever experienced. (Pictured Sweet and unsweetened). They are known for flights which looked great but we were not in the mood. I had the club sandwich. Too much bread for Texas toast. Unable to eat as a sandwich. My husband had the grilled chicken salad and had mostly stalks from the romaine lettuce. We were not impressed for a basic lunch. Our waitress was super sweet and bubbly. read more

We had a large table 12 adults 3 kids and called ahead (they don't take reservations but appreciate a call ahead) at 11am for dinner at 5pm. It was a Monday night and we were seated right away 5pm sharp. Gave us 3 tables butted up together with room for 4...so a little cramped but not terrible. Right away we got drink orders that mostly came back incorrectly. About 20min in food started arriving but not to everyone. They had no idea who ordered what and half the food was still missing. By the time most of the table was served the others were almost finished eating and 2 of our guests were still waiting on their food. We had to wait over an hour to get the table served as we are sharing our food while we wait. We spoke to the manager and she took off a few changes. Over all the food was GOOD! :) the staff seemed nice but unorganized. I don't know if a cook maybe didn't show up for work but that's what it felt like. Gave a 2 because the food was good and the place was clean. Need to go give it another shot before I would recommend to anyone. read more

We ordered the blackoned salmon, ribeye, and catfish tacos. Our server was very helpful. The mashed potatoes and fried okra were good. However the salmon had little seasoning, the catfish was overly salty, and the ribeye was terrible. In fact, the ribeye had zero salt and was rare (ordered med-rare). It even looked kind of gray. Beers were cold and many to choose from, that is the positive. Ordered the fried pickles and they were so fried you couldn't taste the pickle. The bottom layer of the basket was swimming in oil. I also ordered a calzone with cheese, mushrooms, sausage, onion and spinach. Plenty of sausage and onions, a little spinach, cheese and mushrooms were non-existent. Overall, food was a huge negative. First bartender was nice and friendly and then shift change happened and the next one acted as if everything was a bother for her. Second time here and the first was barely better than the second.
