Stopped by Friday evening for a drink and dinner Stella Artois , Onion Rings, and Reuben Sandwich Started off with the fried onion rings , the dipping sauce was delicious. Tried the Reuben, mouth watering! Stella Artois to top it off. Great service, good ambiance.

My husband got a gift certificate here so we decided to take advantage of it. We invited a couple friends and we met up at the restaurant/bar. It is a sports themed place, so lots of TVs and an bar you can sit up at. It was decently busy but we were able to snag a table out of the way. The waiter was quick to acknowledge us and help us out. We took out time looking at the menu as the burgers looked fantastic. I was curious about a couple different ones but decided to go in for the The 60/40 burger. If you like bacon, this is your burger. 60% ground beef 40% ground smoked bacon, topped with American cheese, bacon, housemade bacon mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion. I was so intrigued I had to have it. Totally worth it. My hubby got THE 2X4, beef pressed with sautéed onions topped with housemade bacon onion molasses marmalade, onion ring, red onion, bacon, and havarti cheese. As much as I drolled over my burger, he didn't really get the Wow experience as he was hoping from his. I can add that later when he tried mine, he wished hed gone that route. Over all the service was great. They were busy so I am happy with how attentive the waiter was. The food came out in good time. The company was fantastic... but I picked them so yay for me. I think I am tempted enough to return and try the impossible burger. It looked good . Or the jalapeno burger. There was multiple choices in burgers I would try again. The fries and tots were fresh and crisp but the burger was what made my night.

Can someone please help me find a good burger place?!? Heard all about their award winning food here and since we were in town we thought we would try it - yeah... not.doing that again The Good: The place looked nice and clean in a neat looking part of Ames. If you come here to watch a game on one of their many TV's it is a good place to hang out with your buddies. My sweet potato fried tasted pretty decent and I liked my wife's honey chicken sandwich with plenty of sauce. The Bad: The staff had their noses so high up in the air, we were surprised they even noticed us sitting there. Seemed pretty annoyed we wanted to come in and have lunch. My Brick House Double was very dry and I had to dig and scour through the burger to find a little dot of their "homemade" 1000 island dressing. Reading many reviews I was worried that my burger would come out like a charcoal chunk. To my surprise it did not, fully cooked but not burnt (positive here). I could find 2 of the 4 advertised slices of cheese on my meal and the grease that settled in my whole mouth left a slimy film all over my mouth for a long time after lunch. The bun may have been quickly grilled to give it a toasted look, however the large amount of butter on it made both, top and bottom bun less then 1/8 of an inch thick and dripping of grease and butter. The Ugly truth: Come here with friends to watch a game and have a few drinks. Then you will likely not taste much of the subpar, overpriced meal and care less about the snobs staffing this joint.

Burgers were wonderful! I requested them to be cooked medium, and the cook did a remarkable job. I did the restaurant's food challenge. I went in during a busy time. I do appreciate that the restaurant offered and allowed me to return later in the night to do the food challenge. The crinkle cut fries had decent flavor, but they were incredibly chewy. The host I encountered was relatively polite. However, I had a few issues with him. I inquired to see if doing the food challenge was a possibility. He said right off the bat, "It's $30 if you fail...". He also asked me if I had money to pay for it, because some people have failed it in the past before, and weren't able to pay for it. I told him I specifically made a trip to do the food challenge. Don't you think I'd bring my wallet and funds with, in case I failed? I pulled my wallet out of my pocket and displayed to him. It's pretty sad he automatically questioned my moral character about whether or not I could afford the challenge, had I failed. I did end up winning the challenge. The original host was gone once I returned. The rest of the staff and the managers were all polite and excited when I finished the "Triple Double" Challenge.

Where to start, hmmmmm. Would not recommend. The waitresses that were working seemed to like their jobs and anjoy their customers, the waiter we had seemed very annoyed, careless and in a hurry to get us done and dealt with. I had the honey garlic chicken sandwich - the chicken was thin and pretty dry, the bun seemed to have been soaked in butter before thrown on the grill to warm and when I think sauce on a burger I think more than a little dabble. I had to call on another waitress for extra sauce for my sandwich and she was happy to get it for me. I opted for the cheese balls because heard good about them, nothing to write home about.. My husband had the brick city double because he wanted lots of cheese and the thought of the thousand island dressing mess made him happy.. Well sadly there was a little squirt of thousand island mixed in with the bacon melted under the 1 maybe 2 slices of cheese that was on the whole sandwich. He was very disappointed as he too had to request more thousand island because he couldn't even taste it. His side was sweet potato fries and I think we both wouldn't say anything negative about those, they were very good.. All in all there a far better places to eat in the area especially when we travel from 4 hours away to meet up with family..

Was a very cute restaurant with amazing food. We were seated immediately but the service was kind of slow. Good thing the food made up for it, I would still recommend this place.

Pork Belly app: thick cut pork belly in lettuce cups, topped with sweet thai glaze, pickled carrots, onions, celery, mint, thai basil, cilantro, scallions and crushed peanuts. A tad sweet for me but overall this was a great app. Slice of Sourdough: delish. Chicken Japchae: since my mom has celiac disease, we were very excited to see this on their menu - dining out with her can be a challenge. Especially at a place specializing in breads! The only unfortunate part about this dish is (I think) they forgot they already salted the chicken and salted it again...and then again. I'm not one to say something is too salty, I love my sodium but this was mouth-puckering salty. Inedible, actually, but the noodle dish itself was SO GOOD that she set the chicken aside and ate the entree. NY Strip Steak: perfectly med-rare, served with a garlic-rosemary potato pavé (like a potato casserole of sorts), roasted broccolini and a house steak sauce that was similar to a demi glaze. Not a bite left - no leftovers with this one. I ate the whole dang thing. Myself. And I have zero regrets. Crème Brûlée: I also couldn't leave without ordering a crème brûlée because there are some really bad ones out there. This did not disappoint. I also took home a Dubai Chocolate tort, Raspberry Crumble and a Flourless Chocolate cake. ZERO regrets but if you love Dubai chocolate then you know there are some discusting renditions of this in the market. However, the Dubai chocolate tort at Provisions Lot F is . I can't even describe how delicious this was and is worth the drive to Ames just for this dessert. If you're north of DSM for a game or whatever, I highly recommend Provisions! I'm already scheming a way to get back there...soon!

3/9/26 6:15 p.m…read more Dine-in Food: Our order was - Mushroom appetizer, Cheeseballs appetizer, Garlic Citrus Shrimp, Fish Sandwich w/fries & mayo, BBQ Swiss Burger, and a kids menu Mac & Cheese. Everything was delicious! Yes, the fries may be the frozen kind, but I feel like a lot of places use premade fries like that; it didn't take away from how good everything was. The Mushroom appetizer is SO good! Savory, crunchy, and cooked to perfection. Their ranch is also really yummy; it's the good ranch ;) The size of the mushrooms was surprising as well. Most places use small, white mushroom caps for their deep-fried mushrooms, but these were slices of large portobellos (I think lol). We also really enjoyed the cheeseballs. They were crispy with the perfect melted cheesy inside. The shrimp was plump, full of flavor, they were much bigger than I was expecting, and there were a lot more of them as well. Not to mention the vegetables that came with it (there is a lot more under the toast in the photo) were really good! My husband really enjoyed the BBQ Swiss burger. Our daughter tried a bite as well and said she should've ordered that instead of Mac & Cheese lol. The burger was juicy and had great flavor. My daughter loves Mac & Cheese, so of course she devoured her serving lol. The Fish Sandwich was big, cooked perfectly, not overly greasy, and very filling. Service: As we arrived, there was a sign out front that said "Please seat yourselves", so we did. We were greeted with smiles as we walked in and were brought menus pretty quickly. We were served in a timely manner and everyone we interacted with was pleasant and easy to talk to. They were really welcoming and made us feel comfortable while we were dining, even engaging in small conversations instead of the normal quick dash by that other places tend to do. I had asked about the seasoning on the veggies (because it's absolutely delicious) and they gave me a whole bottle of it to take home! I was shocked and incredibly thankful for their generosity! As we were checking out, they even offered my daughter a ring pop, since we had forgotten to order dessert :) They're incredibly nice and seem to really care about their customers. Ambiance: As you walk in, it smells fantastic! It's quite casual and welcoming. You feel comfortable, which is always a great feeling while you're out enjoying a meal. There is a TV, but it was off, which, in my opinion, was kind of refreshing lol. Overall, the noise level wasn't very high. It was just low, casual conversational chatter throughout the restaurant with the occasional kitchen sounds. The decor isn't overdone; it's homey feeling, which adds to the relaxed nature of the place. All in all, we will definitely be dining here again! We really enjoyed our experience and can't wait to try more menu items :)

It's a very relaxing Irish pub vibe with a variety of seating options and lots of TVs. Our drinks came out quickly and the food followed shortly thereafter. I got a martini and it was very well prepared. My wife got a glass of wine from their decent wine list. For dinner, I had the lamb burger, which was quite tasty. It was a good combination of flavors and the fries were hot and crisp. My wife got a naked burger with a side salad. The creamy Parmesan was very tasty and it was a nice bed of greens. A table next to us had some sort of a problem with one of the dinners and the server tried many many times to get the customer to order a replacement, but he said he was OK with what he got. When she brought the check to them she made sure to take that off since he did not eat it and would not accept a replacement. We ordered up a two and a three meat deal and had Campground Beans, Creamy Coleslaw, Cheesy Potatoes,, and Mac & Cheese as sides as well as a slice of Texas Toast and Cornbread as sides....oh, and Golden Corn Nuggets as an appetizer. The Corn Nuggets were good and sweet and served up with honey and a ranch sauce for dipping. The meat choices were 3) Ribs, Pork Loin, and Turkey Breast....and 2) Pork Loin and Turkey Breast. The smoke on everything was amazing and just the right amount for excellent flavors..the ribs were very meaty. Some places ribs leave you wanting but not at Watcha Smoking! The Pork Loin and the Turkey Breast were both very good as well...still tender and not dried out. I liked the Neck of the Woods sauce the best (mild tomato based) as well as the Carolina Gold sauce...it had nice kick to it. The sides were all good but the only issue was the Cheesy Potatoes were a bit dry.....I'm thinking that it must've been towards the end of the batch and had been sitting around for a bit. Cornbread was excellent, Texas Toast tops, Coleslaw was a good shredded, wet slaw, the Mac and Cheese very good, and the Campground Beans were the preferred side as they had some good chunks of smoked meats mixed in.
