Checked Yelp and distances (just finished 6 hours on bike) and wanted something close. This tavern had good ratings, so winner, winner... It was a locals bar, everyone was super nice and friendly. Many general conversations and local news. Ordered a Ruben sandwich which was very good along with their crispy homemade chips. If in the area, this is a great place to try. read more

Best Burgers in Lakes Region, possible the world. I've never gotten around to trying anything else because I go out of my way to come for the flame broiled burgers. Multiple options - all excellent. This is now my go to place.. they make the best stuffed seafood mushrooms in the area and the chef is always accommodating to make changes... the team there is always friendly... it's always nice to go to a place snd have someone ask you "how was your first couple of bites". I don't recommend eating here. The atmosphere is less than delightful. My wife took me here for my birthday and I was less than impressed. The drinks were a subpar and the food definitely a disappointment. There are much better places to eat close by. Pretty much anywhere else would have been better. Not my wife's fault she just wanted to try something new. Mistakes happen. read more

Service was fantastic, drinks are heavy pours (never a bad thing) service was impeccable, had a buttermilk crusted chicken sandwich and probably one of the best I've had. Only issue is my wife's chicken stir fry included mushrooms which were not on the menu, so she spent some time picking them out....ended up on my plate. But if you're in Laconia stop here. read more

Was apprehensive to go here based on prior reviews... but most negative ones were not about the food. We had an excellent meal, the haddock is well prepared many ways. The service was excellent and he knew everyone... definitely a locals favorite. I had dinner at the Brick Front Restaurant & Lounge on a brisk Wednesday evening. The Brick Front Restaurant & Lounge is open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week, closed Mondays. The dining room with low lighting is casual with comfortable booths and tables and a separate lounge area with more seating and TVs to watch sports. The menu offers sandwiches, appetizers, steaks, seafood, chicken, ribs, prime rib, pasta, salads, homemade soups, and desserts. Drink menu including beer, wine, and cocktails at each table. The prices here are pretty reasonable. Luncheon menu (served until 4PM) and early bird dinners for $8.99 (served with 2 sides) are offered. Early bird dinner choices include baked haddock in lobster sauce, roasted turkey dinner, teriyaki chicken, ground sirloin, eggplant parmesan, and salmon pie are served Sun (12-7), Tues-Thurs (3-7) and Fri-Sat (3-6). I arrived here around 6PM, in time to take advantage of the early bird dinner. The dining room had several diners including a large group of seniors and the lounge had a small crowd. I decided to sit in the dining room. After I was seated, it took a while for my waitress to come over to take my order since she was serving the dining room solo with the solo bartender helping out occasionally. I immediately ordered the Early Bird Salmon Pie with Lobster Sauce ($8.99 plus tax) served with two sauces (I chose mashed potatoes and cup of sausage soup). The sausage soup was brought out quickly, which tasted very good in a hot spicy tomato based broth. The entree arrived 10 minutes later. The food was enjoyable and a great value. The dense salmon pie had with chunks of potatoes & salmon baked in a flaky pie crust and the homemade mashed potatoes were chunky and smooth. During the meal, trying to get my waitress's attention was a challenge since she was too occupied running from table to table by herself with minimal help from the bartender. It took a while to get ice water refills and to get my dinner check. Another dedicated server for the dining room would've helped. After getting my check, I waited for almost 10 minutes for the waitress to return. I just left the check, money, and tip on the table and took off around 7PM. After dinner, I needed to make it to a special night training session nearby 30 minutes later, which I did with seconds to spare. The food I had was really good at a great price (under $10 before tip). I would've most likely ordered dessert if I had more time and if the waitress was not too busy. I would've given this restaurant 4 stars had the service been adequate. read more

I realize everyone has different views but my wife and I had lunch at the Brick Front Restaurant on 6 Sept. 2020 and the waitress was awesome and she provided my wife and I with excellent service and a very positive attitude. The food was awesome as well and it arrived at our table very quickly. The prices are extremely reasonable. The whole dining experience was extremely pleasant and we are planning on returning within a week even though we live 11/2 hours away. Any one considering the Brick Front Restaurant should give it a try. You will find your experience a pleasant one!! read more

We were intrigued by the great reviews. I honestly am hard pressed to give a one star. Start off by I never give food back, complain etc. we get there the room is half full. 2 waitresses on shouldn't be a problem boy were we wrong. We ordered and then wires 2.25 hrs for our food which was inedible. The waitress could careless. All we can do is laugh now, the experience was one you will never go back. Steak taste like rubber. The lobster was out of can and the shrimp was like sawdust. I can't believe how bad the service was either. Not to mention the lights were off. Now I know why the food is that awful. read more

Dinner we had here was very good! The prices were very reasonable and the serving sizes were more than ample (each one of us needed boxes for our left-overs). Service was good and fairly swift as well. It was pretty dark inside though, and I did wish they has more parking spaces. Wow what a diamond in the rough. A breath of fresh air from the commercial chains in the area. Wait in some stupid line at the local chain on the main drag for some total commercial overpriced food? Or come to this local restaurant 3 minutes away in downtown Laconia. The food here was excellent and comfortable. Salmon pie. Real whole bellie fried clams, seafood casserole, prime rib French dip. They were all excellent. Manhattans and Martinis with old fashion side cars? Extremely Reasonable prices, No wait! Our waitress was so attentive and pleasant. I'm usually the one to post here with complaints. This restaurant was so good all the way around that I had to let people know. Started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms covered in cheese and then had the seafood pie. Very good indeed! I am always afraid the seafood in a pie will be over cooked but it was perfect. Combo of haddock, shrimp scallops lobster and clams. Well worth it! read more

My wife and I have had lunch there a few times but last week was thier last chance. The food is not bad and there is not much else in the area so we gave them every oppertunity. Our average wait for food in 6 visits was 30 minutes, this last time after 50 minutes my wife told the waitress we need our burgers packed to go becasue we were out of time. Almost 10 minutes later the owner came out with the food and said "I am sorry we didnt know you were in a hurry". We were charged full price including drink refills. Obviously the owners keep this place as a social hangout not a functioning business, my suggestion would be they sell it to someone that knows the business and just hang out there. This place is great. Terrific alternative to the chain/regular restaurants. We had the homemade chips with Cajun dip for an app. The salads were fresh and the outside dining was great. Not worth the aggravation. The owner is very rude. Went in with friends to have drinks and buy food he came in and held at us for taking up the parking in his parking lot. Saying all of us there was taking up space from the ones that would have gone to the dining room. I guess we were not customers. read more

Four of us just had lunch and enjoyed it very much. Our meals included a burger, fried clams and a specialty salad. Food quality was excellent, portion size generous and our server Amelia was attentive and very sweet. We met the owner on the way out and she was equally as nice. Would recommend. Btw...
