    Chicken ranch

3.0 maybe a 3.5 at best. Small parking lot, which is fine unless it's busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not much of a water view just a small area where there are docked boats but it does have a pretty outside setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I knew we were doomed when our zero percentage personality of a waitress showed up. Nice selection of drinks. I eat all over and typically don't care about pricing. However, if I pay $20 for a hamburger I expect fries as a bonus not some up charge to substitute overdone kettle chips or Cole slaw. Chicken tenders were very dry. We ordered the apple and beet salad that never came with apples (see picture). It was delicious though and very light on the dressing so be sure to ask for more on the side. The chicken ranch sandwich was average. Best meal was my dox burger, which I would have again but never will since I'm not returning. We would have tried dessert but I just wanted to get out of there after waiting forever for the waitress. I like that you pay at the table like you do in Canada or Europe but she never came back with my receipt so, inconveniently, I had to stop by the hostess stand to obtain my receipt.

Went here on a Monday evening for dinner before seeing JT at the Bank of NH Pavilion. We got there around 430p and the main dinning room was not crowded at all however the tables on the deck with water view were very busy. I had the blackened salmon with broccoli which was very good. Service was good too. Parking can be a bit of a challenge with a small off-street lot and you must pay attention to the directional arrows on the pavement of one way in and one way out.

Great experience, from the food, to the views, to the staff. My son has food allergies and the staff was great working with us and the chef to make sure he had something safe to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outdoors, which had nice lake views and it was beautiful watching the sun set while listening to live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks were plentiful and refreshing, and the food hit the spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone in the restaurant was vibing to the music and having a great time![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Spicy shrimp tacos

We came in around 1:30 on a Tuesday for lunch. It's 92 degrees outside and they apparently do not only not have air conditioning, but they have their patio windows open making it hot and muggy inside. The ceiling fans cannot combat this. If I wanted to sit in the heat, I would've asked to sit outside. If the AC is on, it's not enough to compete with the exterior temps. It's hot and uncomfortable in here. The strawberry daiquiri was bad. They clearly have a Virgin base and then just pour a shot in, but don't mix it. The result is a very unbalanced drink. The Dox Loves Peg was okay. I wasn't overly impressed. Again, the drink needed to be mixed. My biggest gripe was the water is room temp and they don't even give you a cup of ice. Warm water on a hot day. Wow, how refreshing! The burger was tasty, the meat blend on the Dox burger was so tasty and the patties were a good size. We didn't like that the burger comes with chips and if you want fries, it's a $2 up charge. It's a burger and fries, for Pete's sake. It's a classic combo. The spicy shrimp tacos were 1) not spicy, and 2) awkward to eat. The shrimp is too big, like one size down and three shrimp instead of 2 would've been better. The coleslaw was good, but there should've been more. The flour tortilla made me giggle because I always forget when I come back that we're not in a place with a large Latino population so I'm going to get flour and not corn. The corn would've taken this to the next level. They were still good but definitely could have used more spice. Everyone is talking about the great ambiance. I'm not seeing it. It's just a bar. And the food prices are high. Three tacos for $18 is DC/NY/LA pricing. And they don't even come with a side. I'd come back. It'd be reluctant because of the prices, but those shrimp tacos were good.

Finally stopped in for late lunch early dinner! ( now that the summer rush has passed) . Seated by the front window, street view. This was a bit scary as they also park right there and well its a tight squeeze! Anxiety me was thinking oh boy someone is going to back up through this window! Waitress was friendly and gave us suggestions! I had the drunken apple drink , and then we did the street corn dip for an app. I then ordered the New England Short ribs with a cranberry glaze, the meal was amazing although a lil more cranberry glaze demi sauce would of been great, it was mostly just cranberries. Husband had Short ribs & mac / Cheese dish , it was also amazing! Portions are huge! Do go hungry!

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

N'awlins Grille was formerly located on Elm Street in Downtown Manchester from 2013 to 2016. There hasn't been a Cajun/Southern restaurant in the Concord area in 3 years, so N'awlins Grille fills that void. This Cajun restaurant & bar is a speakeasy bar located in an unmarked building near Eagle Square. Same as before, upon walking inside the front door on Low Avenue, look for the phone to the left in front of the mirror and pick up the phone to be let inside through a discreet door by staff. This bar and restaurant has a chill vibe with string lights across the ceiling, painted jazz musician caricatures on the walls, and exposed brick walls. The long full service bar lit up in pink & purple, booths and tables, and a small performance stage in the back corner with piano. They will feature live music on certain nights, including jazz and zydeco. Upbeat jazz music plays over the speakers. The food menu offerings include a decent variety Cajun style dishes including jambalaya, crawfish etoufee, po boys, red beans & rice, gumbo, okra & tomato stew, plus appetizers (fried frog legs, fried pickled vege, snow crab clusters, shrimp remoulade, hush puppies, alligator andoulle), burgers, chicken sandwiches greens salad, and desserts (beignets, cakes). The prices are moderate, most entrees in the $15 to $26 range (in 2024). The food menu 10 years ago seemed bigger, and the pricing in 2013 was about half, per my old Yelp posting in October 2013. I enjoyed their crawfish pie and alligator bites at the old Manchester location. The bar offers 8 draft beers, can/bottle beers, wine, and cocktails. After hearing that N'awlins Grille was back in open in a new location, I had to check it out. After I was let inside from the cold night, I took a seat at a booth directly under the heater. The staff introduced themselves and I was asked if I've ever been to N'awlins Grille when it was open in Manchester. I've been there a few times with my buddy back when he was still living in Manchester. We were also greeted with bead necklaces there. I took about 5 minutes to finally decide on the Jambalaya ($21 plus tax) served with skillet cornbread. The Jambalaya came out 5 minutes after ordering, nice and hot. The jambalaya "stew" had a mix of shrimp, vegetables, tomatoes, seafood, chicken, andoulle sausage and spices over rice. The dish had good mild spicy flavors, and the sweet cornbread balanced the flavors out. The shrimps were very soft to eat. For the dessert, I got the Beignets ($7 plus tax), which consisted of 3 fried dough pillows smothered in powdered sugar. This hot dessert was a great choice to end the meal. I haven't enjoyed Cajun food since last summer on my cruise. I'll try some of their other Cajun dishes and Po'Boys next time!
