No complaints really, just a good Mexican restaurant. My daughter, husband, and I went to Casa Lago Cantina for lunch today and enjoyed it immensely! My husband loved that he could get a "double" tequila on the rocks (some restaurants won't serve doubles anymore, did you know that?), and all of us got lunch time specials, so even with his cocktails we didn't go over $100. We'll be back for sure! I want to sing karaoke next time. They have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7pm! After reading the positive reviews for Casa Lago Cantina, I decided to take a quick trip to Tilton for dinner recently. Located on Routes 3 & 11, about 2 miles east of the Tilton Outlets, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casa Lago Cantina serves up Mexican American cuisine in a casual atmosphere with tables & booths and a small live performance area in the dining room and the full service bar & lounge area to the right.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped by on a Tuesday night for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was promptly seated at a booth by the window, but the floor was soaked and I decided to by reseated at a table nearby and given a menu to look over.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A basket of complementary crunchy chips and mild salsa was brought over. There were plenty of traditional Mexican choices on the menu, but I also saw they had two pasta dishes on the menu, which I've also seen at a few other Southwest/Tex-Mex restaurants like Shorty's, which makes an incredible rattlesnake pasta. I got an ice water and decided to order the Chipotle Pasta ($16.99 plus tax), which was served quickly in about 6 minutes after ordering. This pasta dish had soft penne pasta, with a spicy cheesy chipotle sauce, with ample cleaned grilled tender shrimp (12) & cotja cheese, served with firm buttered garlic bread. The portion size looked standard, but this dish was actually very rich, spicy and filling to eat. If sauteed peppers & onions were added to this pasta dish, it would be a game changer. After I finished the pasta dish, I ordered Fried Ice Cream ($6.99 plus tax) for dessert. The Fried Ice Cream was decent, which was a scoop of hard vanilla ice cream covered with minimal corn flakes served in a small fried crisp tortilla bowl and topped with whipped cream, chocolate & caramel sauce drizzles. The check was presented with was $26.02 (cash)/$26.80 (non-cash) with tax and before tip. Overall, I enjoyed a good filling meal at Casa Lago Cantina at a fair price. The service here was quick and efficient as my table was in view of the host stand near the entrance where the waitstaff was staged. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. It's so hard to find actually good Mexican food on the east coast and this is THE spot. It reminds me of my time in Jalisco and has the absolute best flavors, best service, and most diverse menu offerings of any Mexican place I've been in a long time. The drinks are good and a reasonable price. The food is soooo delish and inexpensive for the portions. My current favorites are the carne asada fries and the enchiladas verde with tinga chicken. 100/10. I just finished eating and I already can't wait to come back. Well, color me surprised. This location has struggled to hold a restaurant for many years but finally appears to have found a winner! The drinks tasted great and were priced just right. The food was excellent; I got the Quesabirria Tacos, while my husband got the Del Sur taco bowl. Both brought an authentic and delicious taste to the table. My husband even declared it was the best chicken he'd ever had at a Mexican restaurant. This is the sister restaurant of Casamigos, but in my opinion, this menu is light and fresh; blows Casamigos out of the water. 4/5 stars; may slowly become our local watering hole read more

Well went in for a lil dinner , and the front desk attendants were not friendly! We were seated , chips & salsa were brought over, drink order taken. Menu did not impress. Guak was too smooth and watery . My dish chimichanga was ehhh , my rice and beans were cold , daughters had taco's and neither finished! Was not enjoyable at all food was ehhh . I went to use the bathroom and it looked like they were all hanging out on their phones. I've read reviews and it seems like the biggest complaint is the service, I hope they fix it read more

Started off with a mezcal tini and margarita which were good, but everything went downhill from there. The service was bad. Our server was nice but very rushed, he was also a bartender and could not provide good service while also making drinks for the whole restaurant. A food runner brought us the wrong food at first and there was no silverware on the table. When we did get our burrito, the steak was so chewy and tough that I had to spit it out into my napkin. The busser was eager to clear plates off our table while we were still eating, but once we had finished, the plates sat there a long time. The second drink i had was the patron cosmo, which did not taste like the ingredients on the menu, the juice tasted rancid. Sat waiting a long time before I was able to Send it back and get a beer instead. My son got take out burritos. He asked for a "veggie burrito" (he's vegan) they didn't know what he meant LOL! Anyway, he explained & they made it for him along with a chicken burrito for me & they were both excellent. I don't know Mexican food that well but this tasted like my idea of authentic. Came with some excellent sauces (not sure what they were!) too. Definitely home made to order as we're the fresh nacho chips. Will g o there again for sure. read more

We stopped in here after seeing this restaurant. We had 2 special margaritas, HoHoHo Margarita and the Grinchrita. The drinks were delicious and the pollo poblano burrito and salad was delicious. We couldn't eat it all but wanted to take it to go to finish, it was so good.
