Have been here a few other times since this review. Experiences have been better and items have been in stock! Owner is very kind. Staff is still very friendly and location is still clean. I have not tried another poke bowl but I do like the tuna and California rolls a lot! Miso is also good. Seaweed salad is alright, not sure if I would get again. Overall, it is not the best sushi I have had, but it is the best in Oxford, and does the job when I am craving sushi! Will continue to try more items! read more

I brought in 17 campers from our day camp, the Oxford Summer Music Institute. There were only two people working, and they invited us in and were ready to take us on! For having 17+ different orders, they got it out quickly and correctly. The food was delicious. They gave us lots of love at the end! I worked here but I'm going to do my best on an unbiased review! In terms of sushi here in Oxford, this is the cheapest good sushi you'll get. I lived through Sushi Nara and I exist during the Sushi King era, and neither of them hold the same quality as Brick House for the price. Brick House quality isn't worse on the half-price days- it honestly has nothing to do with the time shipments come in. Basically, you aren't getting worse quality sushi on Sunday-Monday. This doesn't necessarily have the best vibes to sit and eat, but many people do! I would consider this more of a takeout place, personally. Truly this is a great Oxford business to support and while it isn't necessarily the best sushi ever, it's solid considering the price. Owner is a sweet guy and employees are nice too. Also I waited at an empty Sushi King for over an hour for just a few rolls at an entirely empty restaurant during lunch. I would say Brick House is significantly faster unless there is a major issue. read more

Always so good when we come here! Kind owner, great food, and clean tables. We live 35 minutes away and drive to Oxford specifically to eat here. And the portions are always awesome, either full or a little too full with food to take home. Whether it's a bit of a wait or not, it is so worth it. read more

One of my favorite places- cheap sushi Sunday - Tuesday w the half off and is great given the price. Highly recommend the hand roll and the sweet potato tempura. Service is super quick, my orders were always ready on time. You could totally eat there but we usually just picked it up. read more

People, run away from this restaurant if you want sushi rolls. We ordered a bunch of half priced rolls on Sunday and they are the worst rolls I have ever had. I am even ok with grocery store rolls so my expectations are not that high. But I had to spit out some rolls. They are bad, like rotten bad. Their yellowtail actually has a "yellow" crust, that means that fish is way too old. Their "spicy salmon", "spicy tuna" rolls are just salmon and tuna rolls with a puddle of spicy mayo on top. And they are all inedible. I have no idea how anyone would give any stars. read more

This place's name is very deceiving as it's more of a to-go Asian place (there is seating it just has more of a to-go feeling). My mother got the Cobb salad and loved it! She thought the little plastic orb bowl it comes in was super cute. I got the volcano roll which had spicy scallop sushi smothered in a spicy mayo sauce. It was super messy but delicious. I also got the mango milk tea with the tapioca pearls in it. It was pretty good but not life-changing. The reason this review is so low is that it somehow cost us $60 for those three items. I ordered one California roll and it took over an hour. Literally. They told me it would take long but they didn't tell me until after I paid so I had to sit there and wait. I didn't eat until about 8:15. Super frustrating. The sushi was good though. read more

The food was really good and well priced. It didn't take long at all to get our food. We got 3 rolls and it took less than 10 minutes which i think is pretty fast. the place was covid friendly and the workers were nice. the place was also very clean. definitely recommend if you're looking for sushi. i'll have to come back soon to try the poke bowls. read more

The food here is decent at best however it takes 30 minutes to make a 30 second poke bowl which is a big turn off. I've been here maybe 5-7 times this semester and somehow being in the restaurant by myself still takes almost 30 minutes. figure... read more
