To be honest, I hate leaving bad reviews. But this was some of the worst food I've had in a long long time. I got sesame chicken with fried rice and a pink lady roll. The pictures don't help, but the chicken was light orange and completely soggy. The rice was full of oil and the sushi was horribly put together and wrapped. All of it lacked authentic flavor and was not something I could even finish. I sadly threw $30 worth of food in the trash. The people were so nice and friendly. I came in 20 min till 9 (when they close) to take home and they cooked everything right then and had us out in 15 min. Foods delicious. I like their shrimp tempura and dragon roll. Their hot entrees are good too. read more

Sushi and other Japanese and Asian tasty choices in Harrison! Wow! This is a small place that just opened in an empty strip mall spot in Harrison, next to Check Smart, Great Clips, and Penn Station across from Marco's. It appears to be run by a local family - looked like the wife, husband, two young kids and grandmother were running the whole show on Sunday. To be honest I think they are still working out how to run a restaurant. We visited on about day 10 and hit an unexpected Sunday lunch rush. Two people in the kitchen were not enough to keep up with the demand of a pretty extensive menu and orders got a bit mixed up. But the food was quite good, not spectacular but good. We had sushi rolls (spicy tuna, tuna and California) and nigiri (tuna), miso soup and pad thai). Great addition for little Harrison way out in the burbs on the border of Ohio and Indiana. Better than the two Chinese places we have and so nice to have such a variety of new Japanese choices to eat right in town to go alongside our great Korean place! The food and sushi are adequate if a better place isn't avaliable. Service was very lacking. We each ordered miso soup but it only came in quarts so we had to pour it into smaller containers to eat. All the utensils and plates are plastic and you only get. A small cup on soy for your sushi. Definitely a place for carryout if you have real utensils and plates at home. Really great restaurant. We got some fried dumplings for an appetizer, the Godzilla and Spiderman rolls and the orange chicken. Everything tasted great. I appreciated the fact that the chicken wasn't overly fried (sometimes it's too hard) but this one was just right. Will return again. read more

My family ordered take-out over the counter on a Sunday, the day before the 2024 Total Eclipse! The staff was very kind and genuine. The price seemed lower than I had expected. We waited at a booth table where it was nice and quiet. We could hear and smell fried foods being cooked in the back. The food was delivered in an average tie; maybe even better than average time. We realized the error once we got back to our hotel. There had been a misunderstanding; I got my 3 California rolls. My daughter, who is sometimes hard to hear, only got one of her 3 Spicy Tuna rolls. My wife got her chicken fried rice. There was more than enough food for the 3 of us. The Spicy Tuna roll satisfied my daughter and she got one of my California rolls. The California rolls were fresh but on the bland side--there wasn't enough wasabi or pickled ginger, and it didn't taste quite the same as in other places. There were mostly positive reviews on here, but I have to say: Meh. Maybe it's because it's the only Japanese place in this small town, but this place is just not good by any standard. The word of the day is "filler". Everything seems to have filler. Order a sushi roll? It's mostly rice and cucumber, hardly any fish, plus they fall all apart because they're not rolled well. Order a teriyaki plate? It's mostly rice, onions, and zucchini. The "yum yum" sauce seems like it's just watered down mayonnaise. The gyoza tasted like old fryer oil. Kind of a bummer. The people who run the place are nice, but I'd just assume eat at Penn Station next door rather than this "Meh" version of Asian food. read more

The sushi is good. My wife had the Phoenix role and she loved it. I have had two different Chinese dishes, Tso and Spicy Chicken. The chicken is terrible! Old tasting funny flavor . Ordered a Spring roll and it came out with a cold center. I wish they would improve. Good place for Harrison. I won't be coming back. read more

New and cute little restaurant. Sushi's are phenomenal. We tried King Kong roll and salmon sashimi they are both delicious. Cozy environment but not really suitable for large family dinning. Don't know if I will go back, didn't stick out to me as a place that I would continue to go to. Walked in and sat down. Was immediately approached by a young child offering drinks. Ordered drinks and then waited quite a while for another young child to come over and take my order. Finally after 10 minutes I'm guessing their parents, came out and started cooking. We ordered some sushi and an appetizer. For 2 people, one of them being my 11 year old we were shocked when the bill came and it was $45. The food was just okay and I'm not sure what type of fish was on one of the pieces of sushi but my whole mouth went numb for the rest of the evening. Which probably means that I'm allergic to something. I have had a lot of sushi and at many different places so this was new to me. Not sure what they use but I won't be back. read more

I was excited to try this place. I was told my order would be ready in 15 min. I arrived 25 min later to find an empty place, aside from a couple deciding on sushi. I waited 15 more minutes. They waited to start it until I was there. The good thing is I figured it would be nice and hot. My crab rangoons were triangles with barely any filling. They were flat. The pricing is good and the food is very good! The service is consistently horrible. I call in orders at least 45 minutes ahead of when I need, get assurance that it will be ready when I get there and 4 of my last 6 visits I waited 20 more minutes. 2 of the times they had to find the paper they had written it up on and start it. Both of those times was a half hour wait. When I'm going directly from there to pick up my daughter from her work this has finally convinced me not to go back. Delicious!! The people were running around like mad trying to keep up with the big crowd that came in at the same time as us, but they still managed to provide excellent service. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the wait. The spicy tuna roll was divine and the unagi nigiri was so good. The black pepper chicken was good, and the sticky rice was the perfect texture. Terrible service..children taking orders..should have been my first clue. Ordered lo mein, with shrimp. A bit pricey...but have had good lo mein at other spots. Giant plate of dry, tasteless noodles and 6 shrimp (which I paid an extra dollar for...) Hardly no sauce...I tasted It...nothing. Chef see's my reaction and asks If there is a problem...umm, yes, no veggies at all, no sauce...he points to a tiny (smaller than a dime piece ) of bok choy and says, ' see Chinese vegetable ! '...I am about to send it back and leave and he offers to add more vegetables..okay... I ask to have him box It up ( maybe I can salvage this at home..) and get the bill,10 bucks for a giant plate of noodles and a quarter cup of veggies for a total of 12$ The worst.... read more

Pretty good food. I thought the Hibachi Steak was really good. My husband said the sushi was awesome - some sort of spicy tuna I think. I guess the cons would be that they don't appear to have fountain drinks which is a little odd, but they're a new restaurant, so maybe they're still working on that. They have pop, but you get a glass and a bottle of pop (er soda...if you call it that). Also our "waitress" was approximately 11 years old. No kidding. She was adorable, and she did a great job, but it was a little bit hard to hear her in there. Overall a good experience. I'm sure we'll be back. Probably a lot.
