Fantastic food, ok service. Had lunch here and the place was rocking, definitely a regular lunch spot for many who work in the area. The exterior is an unassuming brick building across from midlothian middle school. Our waitress was new so I will give her the benefit of the doubt, she was very friendly but out order was slightly mixed up. We ordered the bacon cheese fries (delicious!!) which come with a delicious zesty ranch. For our entrees we had the brick house burger & the fish and chips. Both which were delicious. The fish & chips came out sans chips and when asked our waitress said she didn't think they actually came with chips, they just called it that... Again she was new. An older waitress stepped in & our order was remedied quickly. We were overly full and delightfully satisfied with our meal. We will definitely come back! read more

First time visiting. Parking is tight...but there is a lot in the back behind the building. As soon as we walked in, we were seated. Our waitress was an absolute delight. She was very kind, happy to answer questions, and easy to chat with. She was attentive to us the entire time we were there. The food was amazing. I had the french toast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a fruit cocktail. Everything was fresh, and tasted fantastic. My husband had the country fried steak skillet, which was also really good. This was a favorite of ours till tonight. The service was lacking extremely. My fiance ordered the soup and salad combo. He tried the soup as did i, and it tasted like it was soured. When we mentioned it to the waitress she offered to bring another side in its place. Great...untill she said we would then be charged for the extra side. But the soup was inedible? Meanwhile the table next to us has been trying to get her attention for 10 minutes for a drink refill without luck. In the end...we paid 8.95 for a salad and inedible soup. read more

My husband and I visited Brickhouse this evening for dinner. We ordered the fried chicken special with mashed potatoes. Well, @ the age of 56 this has to be one of the WORST dinners we've ever eaten. The chicken was dry and you could see the bones of the chicken legs when they brought the plate to the table. The potatoes were awful. We returned the plates full of uneaten food and didn't ask for any type of discount. I asked the server if she had told the manager. She had and Vick said that he was sorry for the food and did not offer $1 off. Shame on Vick. Social media will not be your friend Vick. Usually love this place. Had not been in awhile. Waited for quite some time to be acknowledged by the hostess owner while there were empty tables and waitresses whizzed by. This was an issue because my mother is elderly and frail. Once seated I really liked our waitress but she did the oddest thing. My mother ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions. Her order came to the table as a bacon cheeseburger with onions. I pointed out that my mother did not order the bacon thinking the waitress misunderstood but no, she said this was the only way she could figure out how to ring up our order but wasn't charging us extra for the bacon (which we did not order!) so bizarre. Thankfully, my mom didn't care but I was perplexed. May go back again but would hope for a better experience. I gave this 2 stars because the food was good. read more

Brickhouse is a nice little breakfast spot. Good quality food and always prepared well. The spicy chicken wrap is wonderful and always fresh. The service is hit or miss. If they are busy good luck but if it's not packed, quick service and and drink refills are always offered. The overall environment is casual yet a lot of business people in suits are present due to it being across the street from the court buildings. Stopped at the Brick House Restaurant around 11 am last Wednesday . On the menu was a fantastic looking yogurt parfait . I was so looking forward to this as Panera Bread is one of the only places I see one . As I begin eating the blueberries which looked like deflated balloons and tasted ...wait they had no taste... just terrible . The strawberries were soggy . It is the season for fresh blueberries and strawberries . I had to fish out the blueberries and put them aside on my plate . I knew then that it must had been frozen fruit. I asked the waitress, "Is this frozen fruit ?" " Yes. The waitress replied , " It is defrosted" no kidding . I said to myself . The parfait was also very expensive. For the price the chef and owner should have used REAL fruit. There was no excuse for this . I told the waitress knowing and hoping she told the person who made this parfait ... I have eaten at Brickhouse many times since it has opened. It is great for a diner type place. It's owned by a Greek family and they make everything from scratch, which is nice. I will say don't expect Michelin star cuisine. It's homey, diner fare and it's good. The one negative I have is service. Depending on the waitress you get, it can be lacking. Food normally comes quick, but you may have to wait for drink refills or extra condiments. That being said, I do recommend this place. Make sure you try the deserts!! They're amazing! read more

My husband and I love it here! The Spaghetti is HUGE! And it is SO good!! Parking is limited, and the restaurant itself is small, but we love the food and as many times as we have eaten here, have only experienced slower service a handful of times! I attributed the slower service to the ages of the wait staff. Because it is a sweet mom and pop, local, family owned business, they hire local teens for their waitstaff. For the most part, they are all sweet and attentive, but being young, sneaking phone/text time is inevitable. One time, our waitress had a close friend come in and my table was all but forgotten. We could have easily gotten our check from the front desk, but decided to hang out and visit for a bit. All in all, the food and service here is on point!! My family will continue eating here, and consider it one of our favorites! read more

Well..... just tried to have breakfast here. The hostess seated us and we waited for probably about 15 minutes and they were not even busy, no one came to even take our drink order. We waited a little longer and they seated an older lady behind us and they immediately took her drink order. So needless to say, I don't think they wanted our business so we left. read more

As you can see from some of the reviews here, some people you can never please. My husband and I have been to some terrible restaurants. This, however, is not one of them. The people are always friendly, even under the busiest times. We don't mind waiting when they are busy and we have to wait for our food we know it is cooked fresh not sitting back there already cooked ahead of time. haven't been in awhile but glad we came back. The dining area has undergone a renovation and they have added some nice booths. Husband had the steak with baked potato and salad, all was great, cooked perfectly and fresh and very reasonably priced. I had the moussaka, which was the best I have ever had....very fresh, not greasy and the béchamel sauce was awesome. Not over powering or too heavy. Would highly recommend. Food is good, waitress was great...But that's about it. The hostess told us 10 minutes, we had an elderly woman and 2 young children and an hour later we were seated. In the mean time table after table were seated before us. We were not updated on the wait times we had to come in and ask 4 times. There aren't any seats inside. People were taking their time after eating, paid and table cleared (not the restaurants fault) but not saying anything to ask them to move because it was a full restaurant it is. people walked away and they missed out on money because of this. read more
