We saw this bar from down the street and decided to check it out. Inside is a small dive bar. The bartender was not too friendly and the drink was expensive for the small plastic cup. If you want a chill vibe and a dive bar come here. They do have karaoke as well. The bar logo and name was cute. read more

Sometimes a dive bar can be just what the doctor ordered. Following Doctor's orders, some friends and I went looking for a dive bar where they do Karaoke. Tip: They do Karaoke here in Friday and Saturday nights When we walked in, the place looked like what we expected. What we didn't expect was to be ignored by the staffers, rather than treated like paying customers :-( We waited at the bar for around fifteen minutes without being either served or acknowledged. We finally got our 1st round, but the 2nd round took even longer to obtain... After a couple of songs with no improvement in the service, we all had enough and got up to leave. Not surprisingly, there were close to another dozen people who decided to leave right after we did. Even as a dive bar, this place isn't worth it - it's one and done for me. read more

Ok, so this bar has reasonably priced drinks. There is bar and dining area seating. It is a bit of a hole in the wall bar. This bar's bread and butter however, is karaoke. They have the best karaoke in Indy, bar none. There is no song book. They have pretty much every song you can think of. Just tell the DJ want you want to sing and they put you on the list. Everyone in the bar seemed cool and there was a low key type vibe going on. They have drink specials available and they did not charge a cover. There is metered street parking on nearby streets that is free after 11PM. The bar was fun and friendly and my crew had a great time. If you are looking for a place to rock the mic and get some cheap drinks, look no further. This is your spot. I hope to be back soon. read more

I'll start out by saying we tried to have an opportunity to experience the location in Indy - but was rudely turned away by what we could best describe as an unmarked door attendant. We were in Indy for an event and posted a pic of the street signage on social media - to which we were asked to pick up a tshirt if we could. We walked multiple blocks from our hotel to the venue on a Saturday during their open hours published on Google - to find them closed. We came back again later to walk up to the door and be rudely and physically blocked from going in - saying we had to go to the end of the line (there were 3 people standing there that appeared to be socially talking with this same person before we walked up and we thought they were a group). Mind you, this person had no attire, badge, etc that gave any indication they were an employee. I let them know I was only interested in getting a tshirt - which was responded to by rudely telling me to go to the end of the line. Needless to say, we left, and have no interest in promoting their venue via merchandise or my business. read more

Super small place that serves cold beer and good drinks. I only stopped by for a round or two with a few friends during the week. The place was super busy and I noticed that they have karaoke on certain nights. I missed that unfortunately. I would definitely return. read more

Great place - Karaoke Friday's and Saturday. Drinks were strong and bartenders were fast.

This is not a safe space. A group of queer presenting friends and I went here around midnight. We were the only ones stopped at the door to get in and wait. Then when we finally got in, we were in line to the bathroom. Someone in front of us saw we were waiting and asked if this was the line then said "oh you gotta go". They grabbed security and they physically threw us out of this bar. I have never been thrown out of anywhere, especially for standing in line for the bathroom...? I do not recommend going to this bar for any reason. Stay safe out there. read more

Came here with my friends for a few drinks and had an OK time. First, the bar is very small - there weren't many people there when we went, so not a big deal, but it would have been super cramped if the place was busy. The beer selection seemed OK-ish - we were tempted by the very cheap (50 cents!) Beaver Beer, so that's what we mostly drank. Of course, the Beaver Beer was just a pseudonym for a really cheap, popular beer, but it was a little more fun to drink because of its new name :) When we got there, people were doing karaoke, but we decided to refrain for the night. Some of the singers were decent while others were not, just like a normal karaoke experience :) Staff throughout the night were fine - I didn't interact with them too much, but everyone seemed nice. I have to admit that I felt pretty terrible the next day (too much Beaver Beer!), but I'm not sure I can fault the bar for that. Overall, because my friends got a kick out of going to this place, we'd probably head back there if we were in town, but I'd probably pick a different place if left to my own devices :) read more

No cover, nice bartenders, and seating available. I came on a Friday night when they had long island ice tea special and beaver juices for $5. There are 3 different flavors of beaver juice, and the red fruit punch one was pretty good. I believe it's mixed with rum. They ring a bell for every good tip they get, so you'll hear that quite often. They also have a bag set out front, which I've never tried. read more

Soooooo I've had an experience with this bar years ago. Let's just say lot of libations were had and I don't remember buying a whole bunch of swag from them. Apparently I did....don't judge. All I remember it was a great night the inside of the bar is great and the puns were everywhere. Not exactly what I expected...although in hindsight I probably could have figured it out. The young lady behind the bar (Alecia?) was excellent though and the one bear I had was really good...a porter I believe. The decor was all tongue in cheek. I'm not sure how to explain or even if I need to. I do have to express that I have never seen anyone open beer bottles as fast as Alecia did. She held 3 or 4 in one arm and with the other hand quickly removed a flat bottle opener from her arm band, open all the bottles and stuffed the opener back in her arm band so fast that I was startled. It was like a a quick-draw from a Hollywood western. Interesting place. Great beer. Great service. read more

Yeah ha ha. Beaver. The name is indicative of the hokey decor and cheesy t-shirts they sell. Nonetheless they have fairly cheap alcohol. Vodka club- $5? The best thing about the Wild Beaver, besides the bathroom being deemed "The Crapper", is the juke box. I just keep feeding that machine to crank out 70's southern classic rock. Who let the wild beavers out? I hear this used to be a lesbian bar back in the day. The clientele now is definitely mixed, and what a great way for me and friends who I hadn't seen in a while to reunite and celebrate! With no cover charge, cheap drinks, and good vibes, this dive bar really made for a great spot to just relax and enjoy each other's company/ Towards the end of the night, the friendly bartenders even gave out free fireball shots. Perhaps it was the Big Ten conference vibes, but we'll take it! Definitely would stroll back in here for another few rounds the next time I am in Indy. read more

This place is pretty cool. At first I was put off by the juvenile ennuendo that is the namesake of this place, but having been there a few times, I don't mind it so much. Never mind the waitresses in their ass-less chaps and home made denim duds, its cool, but it's hokey I think. The drink specials are usually pretty good, and they carry 312 on draft which I'm always ok with. The atmosphere is pretty cool and defiantly not like any place else in this city. The old west saloon look is a nice throw back to some of my old spots back home, the difference being that the places back home are authentic and the Beaver is made to look that way for ambiance sake. The staff is usually really friendly, they have a big barrel of peanuts you can dive into and the music isn't usually too loud to talk to you pals. There is a second location in Broad Ripple that I have not been to yet, but I'm sure its the same deal. They are looking to expand and even have franchise info on their website, maybe someday we'll see a local Indianapolis bar all over the country! read more

This was a great little dive bar. I was in town with friends (one of them a local) and suggested this place. I asked him for a karaoke spot more than an anything and we had a blast. We got there before the other regulars that know the weekly schedule of events, and that was a good thing. Had we not, finding a table near he action would have been impossible. We stuck with beer (Yuengling for me) and the drinks were reasonably priced. Sometimes just need a dive bar and this spot fit the bill. The karaoke was a great time and per usual, I brought the house down with my rendition of "Heartache Tonight" by The Eagles. Thanks for a great time! read more

Nice little spot downtown close to Bankers Life. Drinks are fair prices and it seems like the atmosphere would be great at night or on the weekend! We came on a Monday evening before a concert and it was fairly dead, while everywhere else was jammed. We do not come downtown a lot so I am not sure why this was the case, but I would definitely come back. read more
