I love this place. Happy hour on the beach with great people. The bartenders were all very friendly and sincerely seem like they care about your experience. We went two days in a row and had a great time on both occasions. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm. We opted for two house margaritas and they are fine. Perfect if you add a shot of tequila. The food was fresh on both visits. The duck wings are really nice since I can't eat chicken. Wings were my favorite thing and I can finally eat them again here. I don't like the sweet sauce they are usually served with and subbed buffalo hot sauce. They were fantastic! Exactly what I was craving. The deviled eggs are nice. My husband and I had dinner at Brick House Tavern last night. We eat dinner hear regularly and always come back because we enjoy our time. We both ordered the seared salmon dinner and swapped the green beans for broccoli. I asked for my salmon to be cooked a little crispy and although they delivered on that, it did dry it out a little. But the taste was still there. The jasmine rice was delicious as always, it's soft and buttery. I also had a taste for fries but ordered a side of sweet potato tots which hit the spot. At the last minute we decided to try the calamari since we hadn't before, I'm glad we did. It was seasoned really well and topped with jalapenos. I skipped the peppers myself, but the calamari itself tasted really good. The service was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and handled our table along with several others. The restaurant was pretty crowded due to the business of spring break on the seawall area. The fireplace was blazing inside which made the restaurant feel warm and cozy and the t.v.'s were showing college basketball. So it's definitely a fun spot if you're a sports fan. read more

We met our Server named Jeremy and he was awesome. He directed us to a place where we could go play some Pool.. Since that's what we do, we jumped on the chance. Due to inclement weather in the DFW area we were delayed to travel for a few days. Picked Brick House to get lunch and watch the divisional game. We informed upfront there were only two servers and service will be delayed. We did not mind..where else were we going in frigid temps and high winds. Decent Food, But Serious Issues With Draft Beer and Service Flow Parking was easy thanks to the lot behind the restaurant, and we were seated promptly by the hostess. Unfortunately, that's where the service experience started to break down. It felt like there was little to no communication between the hostess and the serving staff, because we sat at our table for quite a while without anyone stopping by to take a drink order or even acknowledge us. After waiting long enough, I ended up walking to the bar myself to order drinks for the table. The bar staff was friendly and accommodating. When our first beers arrived with a noticeable sour taste, the bartender happily exchanged them for different selections. Unfortunately, the replacements had the same issue. Even the next round of draft beers tasted off, and only one of three freshly poured beers had any head on it. We suspect there may be an issue with dirty tap lines or improperly cleaned glassware. Either way, the draft beer experience was a complete disappointment. I'd strongly recommend sticking to bottles or cans until the draft system issues are addressed. As for the food, it was decent overall. The fish and chips were really good and easily the highlight of the meal. The tots, however, arrived barely warmer than the July air outside. To their credit, the staff replaced them promptly with a fresh batch, and the second order was much better. I'd rate the food 3/5, the draft beer 1/5, and the service below what I would expect. Our table server was polite and pleasant whenever we interacted with them, so I don't think the issue was effort or attitude. The bigger problem seemed to be the lack of communication and coordination between the front of house and wait staff, which left us feeling overlooked. Honestly, given how friendly and attentive the bartenders were, I wish we had just sat at the bar. Bottom line: Good fish and chips, friendly bar staff, but disappointing draft beer quality and service coordination issues kept this visit from being much better. read more

I recommend the fish and chips, they were delicious. The place has TVs all over so you can watch the game, or sit on the patio and see the beautiful gulf view. The burger was solid and sweet potato tots were a nice side option. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was pretty good. But the steak was terrible. I ordered rare and it came out medium, not even medium rare. Then when they brought another to me, cooked correctly, the taste was not good. It had a weird taste like bad meat. Our waiter was terrible at first. Slow and he disappeared for long stretches. But after we complained to management, he improved and other staff also began to help out. So kudos on that! read more

After finding it harder than expected to find a dog-friendly restaurant, we called Brick House and they told us are dogs are more than welcome on the patio. I appreciated how welcoming the staff was when we arrived and they continued to be great during the entire experience. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks (beer and specialty cocktails) as well as our lunch items. I had originally planned to order a burger but was surprised that they not do a smash burger instead of a regular burger which didn't sound as good. As none of the items really popped out at me, I did the soup and salad combo with Tomato Basil Soup w/ House Salad. The soup was much smaller than expected but was still good overall. I'd say everyone liked their meal but I also wouldn't say they were impressed or would order their menu item again.
