    DUO BACON BURGER
    michael a.

Decided to eat local today since it was snowing. I stopped in and we were seated near the fire place which was very nice. The place has plenty of sports stuff and tv's to keep you happy the ambiance was on point as a sports bar. I ordered a DUO BACON BURGER which was their burger of the month and a Shiner Bock beer. The burger was so good it was cooked very well and tasted great the French fries were perfect as well. The reason I gave this place three stars is because of the service our waitress took our order and ignored us after that and spent most of the time talking to a older couple across from me that from the conversation they were having they all knew each other personally. There was a older employee who judging by my experience of working in restaurant and dining seemed to be a manger there judging by his enthusiasm and aim to please. He was constantly checking on us and even brought our food by he really didn't come off as a server plus the girls name was on the check as our server. I would have given four stars if he was our actually waiter but if he is a manager like I think. He needs to manage your staff you see one of your employees shooting the breeze with people she obviously knows for more than two minutes you have to tell her to take care of her other customers. I had to pretty much yell (nicely I swear) for my check. In closing the food was good but the service was terrible and management needs to manage

Good location , and right on stelton road . Lots of options here . Amazing interiors and lots of seats to sit and eat . There are also tables outside which will be perfect for summer time . There wasn't much wait time and we were able to get a table quickly . Service was good . Lots of parking outside .. Lots of tap beers available here . Draught beers are amazing here . Lots of options - blue moon , Stella , ipas, Budweiser etc etc . Short eats are good here .. wings were a bit dry . Didn't like much . . Quick service . 4 stars ..

My only favorite thing about this place was knockout shrimps. Drinks and other food are ok but could be better. Fish & chip was greasy and Philly cheese steak was a bit bland. Fries were greasy and tasted like oil. Other than that, place is pretty decent with good lights and decorations.

Food is delicious!!!! I give it 4.5 stars. Mozzarella sticks are crispy on outside and gooey inside. Sprinkled with Parmesan and served with spicy marinara. Brick burger is well seasoned, juicy and great with a cold beer. Chicken pot pie is baked daily with puff pastry on top. Service was very good. Military discount available which is always appreciated. Kids menu is great for kids with drink included. Casual atmosphere with very cool decor. I was super afraid to try this restaurant because of the poor reviews but their parking lot was packed so I took the gamble. Glad I did! Highly recommend this for groups or families with kids.

Brick house is also super accommodating to large parties and gives us our own separate corner of multiple tables. The nachos are a great deal for the side and toppings - would def recommend. The margs are pretty strong too! I was also impressed by the cheese pull from the mozzarella sticks. Servers are usually attentive and regularly check in on you.

The manager is really kind lovely staff very nice. Really good food. Nice sauce and drinks. One annoying thinks is the fat flies trying to eat our food and not leaving us alone.

I was at this location on Friday the 20th around 10:00 PM. That place was not over crowded. We were seated right away by the fireplace. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles and I ordered the fish and chips. Both entrees were really good. The fish came with 3 large pieces, crispier than I ever had but tender inside. The chicken that came with the waffles a were chicken tenders. We also ordered Sangria which was probably one of the best sangrias I have ever had. We were attended to by Emily who was very welcoming, kept a smile at all times, helped with our selections and though she was covering most of the tables, she always checked on us. You also made recommendations on what to try out next visit. I gave this location a 4 star instead of a 5 because the restroom had no paper towel and the bin was overfill. I think they should check it more often especially since it was not as busy as it usually seems to be. Aside from that everything was great and Emily was dope! Definitely will revisit in the near future.

YO. Amazing service, amazing food. Super chill atmosphere, lots of TVs everywhere to watch sports games. There's a bar, tables, booths, and couches with tables by a fireplace. Spot is super cool. The servers are attentive. I asked for no peanut sauce for my Thai salad due to my partner's allergy and that salad did not suffer without that sauce. The manager came out and personally served us the salad and reassured us that there was so peanuts is any of the food. I really appreciate that they took that seriously. The food is not salty, not oily, and just delicious. Didn't feel rushed at all. Was able to enjoy my Friday night with my man, after a long weekend. Great job and not only kudos to the staff but the success is testament to management and their ability to get this running like a well oiled machine. It's very hard to find a a bar/tavern that has good food AND good service in this area!! So this is amazing and I can't wait to come back with friends!

A gem in Jersey, ordered takeout while I was visiting our South Plainfield location. Although I didn't visit the actual location, I was impressed and can't wait to go the next time I'm in town. Brick Burger Classic- 8/10 The picture does not do justice, it smelt so good. I quickly snapped a photo and couldn't help myself from chowing this burger down. A classic burger that is cooked to perfection with the right amount of sauce, vegetable, and it held together really well! Tater Tots- 8/10 Crisp and not too salty. Tasted even greater in their BH sauce and ranch. Will be back!

Enjoyed a night on the town at the local plaza. My waiter was Danica ! She gave us top notch service. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a great bday celebration here. Make sure you request her. I can't get over the immaculate attention to detail every step of the way during our dining experience. The ambiance was very welcoming to all , playing sports on every tv. Good food. But the vibe is better.

Thai Chicken Salad- without the chicken
    Alycia J.

Outdoor seating is very nice. The issue here is the menu. It is extremely hard for a vegetarian to eat here as there are basically no options. I chose the Thai chicken salad without the chicken and they threw bagged lettuce on a plate with some bottled dressings - very acidic. The other option was the beyond burger and that is it for the main course items. Would only come again for a drink - the Moscow mule was decent.

I recently tried the chef's 8-course tasting menu, and it was perfectly paced--the small plates are proportionately sized so you leave feeling satisfied rather than overwhelmed. Every dish is a standout with deep, "stacked" flavors; even the ingredients I was skeptical about ended up being favorites. Nothing needed a drop of extra seasoning. The service sets a warm, welcoming tone from the start. We were offered Oshibori (Japanese warm towelettes) to refresh our hands, and getting a fresh set of utensils with every course was a high-end touch I really appreciated. Menu Highlights: Taro Fritter: A sweet-textured appetizer inspired by Chinese desserts, topped with caviar and soy-pickled beets. It was a beautiful way to awaken the palate. Mackerel Crudo: As someone who isn't usually a fan of raw dishes, I was surprised by how much I loved this. It's light, perfectly acidic, and balanced with plum, ponzu, and apple. Grilled Sunchoke: This was "rustic elegance" in a bowl. The smell alone is incredible, and the combination of ginger crab and shellfish butter is pure comfort. Smoked Duck: Topped with black winter truffle and caramelized onions in a gochujang sauce--absolutely excellent cook and presentation. Braised Beef Cheek: So tender you can skip the knife and just use your fork. Since I forgot to BYOB, I tried their house-made Luck & Love hibiscus drink. It's hands-down the best hibiscus tea I've ever had--I actually tried to buy one to-go, but they only make enough for dine-in guests! It's a fantastic spot to bring friends or loved ones, though I'd recommend arriving early. The parking lot is extremely tight, so you might need to look for space in the lot next door.

I am still disappointed by the lack of response from the corporate office on this matter, but the Edison location was extremely helpful in resolving my issue. Initial review: My wife and I have been going to True Food Kitchen for a while now, and really enjoy their healthy food options, but their recent lack of customer service is very disappointing. We recently purchased a gift card for True Food Kitchen but when we had problems with it, the local restaurant wasn't able to do anything. We reached out to the company they parner with for the gift cards, who told us to reach out to corporate. I left two voicemails with True Food corporate with no response, in addition to leaving email with no response either. I would appreciate it even if they couldn't do anything that they would at least get back to us and let us know that, but nothing. I commend True Food for offering such healthy eating options for people but without good customer service, I can't see it really lasting for long.

NOTE: Be very careful about using any dining credits from Open Table here. I saved up points for like a year and got a measly $16. When deciding on which restaurant to choose for Brunch today, we noticed True Food was in the Open Table network, so I would be able to use the credit there. When we arrived the place was pretty empty. Strange for the time of day. Bad sign #1. They walked us to a large table. The table was soaking wet and the hostess laid our paper menus on the puddle of water, never acknowledging the fact that the table was wet. Bad sign #2. I used my napkin to dry off the table and asked the waiter for another. He was very cordial. It was noon on a Saturday, so we assumed they would provide us with the Brunch menu (since that is why we came) and we had to ask for it - a measly 4 items on this menu, so options were few. Bad sign #3. Our server and the taste of the food were the only positive things about this trip. At the end of the meal, I followed the Open table directions and clicked on redeem in front of the waiter. It seems a Mastercard number pops up and since the server nor the manager knew how to do the dining credit, she said it was declined and could give me a 10% discount. Our meal was only $30, maki g that like $3 I said that I had to use the dining credit here since I booked our reservation which is tied to the credit and I would lose the dining credit. The manager was very demeaning and I reminded her that I can't use this credit anywhere else and that the whole reason for choosing this restaurant today was because of the Open Table credit. She then asked me to stop yelling at her. I, at no time in this conversation, raised my voice. I just stated the fact that I will lose $16 if they don't use it here. She said I could use it elsewhere and I reiterated that was not true and asked if she could contact open table to see why it won't go through. She said no because they are a third party and it is not their responsibility. After a while back and forth on this, she then said, I told you I would take $16 off the bill so you can use that elsewhere. When I reminded her that she said only 10% before she again said to stop yelling at me and I am just trying to make you happy. My husband said, does she look happy? After that she basically kicked us out of the restaurant. I will never return to this location ever again after being treated this way, like I was some criminal trying to get over them over a lousy $16. Now I can see why, on Sunday during Brunch time, the place was practically empty. Go to Original Pancake House just up the street if you want great food and service. There will be a wait but it is worth it!

So how did I wind up back here? Bit of a story but if you read my first review you'll see how I met a friend that I met online 13 years ago for the first time and this was the place we went for dinner after an event. Well, now a year later, her and I were traveling together north to Parsippany and this was the closest restaurant that looked appealing. It was not until we enter the parking lot I said out loud, this is where we had our first dinner. Anyways, enough of that love story. I really want to give this two stars for service but the food really pushed it over the top. So all in all I will keep it as a four star review. I want to address the food first, I had the short rib tacos, and my partner had eggplant caprice flatbread. I had a bite of hers which I absolutely enjoyed, eggplant had a nice crisp to it which really made it enjoyable. The short rib tacos... holy crap! Mind blown. I did not expect such great flavor in such a small bite. Everything about the tacos packed a punch. I would much rather have had six tacos and no chips and salsa. As for the service, this is where I got frustrated and my cash tip hopefully reconcile with my server. We dined on the rooftop which was completely empty minus a couple at the bar. We seated and ordered our beverages. I did not get my lime with my lemon water. After we ordered our meals, and received them, a server never came back to check in with us. I wasn't a big fan of her attitud either. It started to get busy I noticed that the host kept seating everyone around us when there was an entire floor to sit people at. Not sure if they're trying to keep people in one specific area but for how slow it was they certainly could've given everyone more privacy. I'm pretty sure the couple that was seated next to us got up and left for that reason. Cannot say I will not be back but who knows when I'll be traveling through again.

The young woman at the counter greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and patiently explained how to build a bowl. The setup will be familiar to anyone who has visited one of the many assembly line quick serve spots that have multiplied across America, but the ingredients here seemed fresher, healthier, and considerably more interesting. Then came the surprise. I ordered a vegetarian bowl. Not because I had planned to. Not because I had undergone a spiritual awakening. It simply happened. I chose cauliflower rice, Sriracha honey Brussels sprouts, Buffalo cauliflower, roasted mushrooms instead of a traditional protein, and creamy wasabi sauce. The young woman kindly asked if I was a vegetarian and pointed out that they offered tofu. I declined, partly out of stubbornness and partly because the bowl already looked complete. Everything tasted excellent. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The Buffalo cauliflower had just enough kick. The mushrooms brought a satisfying earthiness to the whole affair. If I have one small complaint, the cauliflower rice was a little dry. Fortunately, the creamy wasabi sauce solved the problem immediately. What impressed me most was the service. The young woman who helped me at the counter later came by my table to make sure I was enjoying my meal. That sort of attention is becoming rare enough to qualify as noteworthy. The restaurant was spotless, the food was flavorful and the people were kind. Not much more you could ask for. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for another bowl.

The main course I stayed with seafood and chose the Mahi Mahi which was Sous vide, quick grilled, and perfectly seasoned. The service was great and team stayed on top of everything from drinks to clearing the table. Parking is limited so anticipate using their Valet service. Overall it is a nice vibe inside and the staff is friendly. We started with tuna sashimi which was tasty and felt like a good light appetizer, especially from the lemongrass broth.
