In a road trip from New Orleans to Austin TX we had a very pleasant surprise by dining at the Tuscanys Italian Restaruant in Dayton, TX. It had a full menu of items to select and what we had was delicious, including an appetizer and dessert. The facility was pleasant, clean and the service was excellent. Came here at the request of my wife and daughter. Getting alot of praise locally for pricing and portioning! Tuscany is located in Dayton, it is a bit of a drive from Houston but is a hop and a skip for the east side suburbs. It is in a small strip center parking is somewhat adequate. We were greeted and seated right away. Menus and silverware are brought out to you. The menu is very extensive. I went with the Pasta trio which consisted of Lasagna, Manicotti, and Canelloni. My wife and daughter got a Shrimp Tortellini and another Pasta trio which had Ziti. They do bring out some fresh bread with butter and all of us got a salad with a choice of dressing. The Italian and Caesar dressing were both too sweet to fit the flavor of the dressings, they should be savory and not sweet. Tomato Basil Vinagrette was also a choice and my wife indulged in that. Food came out in a timely manner however the plating was a bit small for the trios and you could not tell what you were eating until you actually took a bite. Thought I was dining in the dark for a sec lol. The presentation should allow these distinct Pasta dishes and their shapes be seen and spread out on a platter. It was hard to see due to everything smothered in sauce and melted cheese. The flavor was good on the spinach and ricotta cheese Manicotti, and the Canelloni not only had the standard ground beef but a subtle flavor of Italian sausage and fennel. We just had lunch here and it was a great experience (third time here) they were able to accommodate our large party despite the small place. The garlic bread was so warm and delicious. Everyone enjoyed the bread including our 17 month old. The kids ordered a medium and large pizza. More than enough had we only ordered one medium. The wait staff is very friendly and checked on us frequently. It was definitely busy for Sunday lunch but not uncomfortable. read more

We travel between Beaumont and NE Houston often. We recently stopped at Tuscany's Italian restaurant for dinner and found this gem! The bread was soft, lightly buttered and dusted with Parmesan. The Chicken Madomia has Alfredo sauce, broccoli, spinach and tomatoes sautéed over chicken was delicious. The Chicken Murphy had mushrooms, artichoke hearts, jalapeños in a creamy sherry wine and tomato sauce. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and looked photo ready, sadly we didn't snap a photo. We go to Tuscany's as often as we eat Italian food out. No one does it better-- not even in Houston. Service was extra outstanding tonight, as was the fresh bread. I also really appreciate the fact that this small, local restaurant offered free meals to veterans on Veterans Day. Usually it's only the bigger chains, and then with a very limited menu. My Veteran's Day dinner was this spectacular calzone, and my family came with me to support the restaurant. We had the calamari appetizer, lobster ravioli, chicken tortellini, and kids shrimp alfredo. Everything was perfect, and we brought home enough food for at least a few more meals. My family and I ate at Tuscany Italian Restaurant on the evening of Friday, 24 November 2023. From the fresh hot bread rolls, the olive oil mix, and all of the dishes from spaghetti to the veal parmigiana, it was AMAZING! The owners should actually rename the restaurant to "Everything Is Good Here Italian Restaurant"! I think the wait staff was a bit overwhelmed but they were very friendly and they accommodated our party of 20+. Wow! Read the reviews and really didn't expect much but was I ever surprised. We just returned from 6 months in Europe and a month of that was in Italy. The sauce they serve at this place reminded us of what we were missing. It's a good thing I do not live anywhere close to this place because I would be piling on the pounds. HAVE TO TRY IT. First timer here, went there tonight for Togo food. I live in Kingwood, and there isn't any good food around here, and Italian at that. The food was still still warm when we got back home (35 minute drive). We ordered the combination plate, chicken piccata, which came with 2 side salads and so many rolls. The serving sizes are huge! We could've shared 1 plate but so happy we got plenty for leftovers. The salad was bomb. I tore it up before I was able to get a picture. I added pictures below. The staff was so friendly and the gentleman (I believe the owner) opened the door and brought the food back to the car. I will be coming back for all my future Italian needs. For our small town you would think we have little options for good food. However, if you come to Dayton this is a must try. They are a family owned business, they are friendly and more importantly, great with food. I have had the pizza, spaghetti, and even the cheesecake. It's all very good and authentic. This restaurant has amazing food and service. It's a little hidden gem that you must try. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. The stuffed mushrooms are amazing and I normally don't like mushrooms. We order them in Alfredo sauce and dip the fresh rolls into the sauce. The pizza is delicious as well. I can't speak on the ambiance at the restaurant as I tried the lasagna at an event where the host bought a huge pan of it. It was literally the best lasagna I've ever had!
