Not sure why this place is getting such bad reviews, but I honestly think they are unwarranted and no doubt are being made by some very spoiled people in the area. We usually get takeout from here but decided to try dining in this time. We've been very satisfied with the pizza & subs but they are even better when we dined at the restaurant. Also tried their chicken Parmesan dinner this time. The marinara sauce was delicious & the portion was a very good size. Two nice pieces of chicken & a healthy portion of spaghetti. Atmosphere is very casual and laidback. Also of note, the woman that usually answers their phone is beyond helpful & pleasant. If she were able to be cloned, every pizza place should have one! She wonderful! Also, the young lady who served us tonight gave us stellar service. (Wish I'd remembered to get her name!). In summary: Good food, nice service, convenient location. We usually sit outside at the next door brewery since the inside of this place is smaller/darker/more sports bar like. Pizza usually takes a while, sometimes 20-25 min, but totally worth it. We came in sometime ago and had such a horrible encounter that we haven't been back. We went for dinner with friends. The place was packed, so it must be good. They ordered a couple of pizzas and penne alla vodka, and I ordered the mussels. Not a fan. I had a few, did not care for the flavor, and then covered them with the bowl they'd provided. When the server came over, she asked what happened with the mussels. I told her I didn't care for them. I did not yell at her, nor did I even ask for them to be removed from the bill. She took them away, and I thought nothing else about it. I was having a nice night out with friends, who offered to share their dinners. The pizzas and penne were delicious. While we were eating the owner came over with the mussels the server had just carried back to the kitchen. He seemed furious. He asked me what was wrong with the mussels. I told him I found them salty and tough. He got even more mad and told me that no one had ever said that, and they were "famous" for their mussels. I told him that I was sorry, but taste was subjective. He scoffed, like a literal scoff, and then turned and walked away. It was awful. I was embarrassed because everyone at the tables around us had heard the exchange. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. It ruined the entire meal for us all. It's also exactly why I, and many people, don't complain about food or service when we go out. Again, I hadn't complained to the server or even asked for them to remove it from the bill! I just wanted to enjoy the rest of the meal out with friends. The moral of the story. Don't tell them how you really feel. Just ask for a to go bag and throw it out at home. read more

Due to its location it's very easy to miss the turn which I missed a few times. Basically, I went above and beyond hoping to get some good pizza since I work down the road. Upon arrival, I saw that they opened at 3p on Friday. It was 2:53 and I'm a pretty patient guy so waiting a few minutes wouldn't hurt. I thought maybe they might see me sitting outside in the Florida heat and let me in a few minutes early. That didn't happen. And at 3:01, I decided that was enough. Most businesses would open the door early to welcome in a customer but not this one. Maybe they didn't see me. Who knows. No knock on their food. Never had it and after this, probably never will. Sadly, this used to be a great little neighborhood place. Pizza was always great. Now, the pizza is horrible. I paid $50 for 2 large 2 toppings pizza's and am very disappointed. This place used to be full on a Sunday night. It seems the neighborhood has taken notice. I am not in the restaurant business but I can never figure out why or how these places destroy themselves. The food deserves a 4.5 on most days, but sadly the restaurant has succumb to the practice of adding 3.5% for credit orders. This will be my last visit. Joeys at Chelsea place is a nice alternative. If you're a fan of brick oven style pizza, this place is for you. Let me be more clear: there are many types of pizza; NY Style, Detroit, thin crust, whatever you fancy. This isn't the type of pizza that is full of sauce with a soft crust. This is different but tasty. The mozzarella garlic knots and the fries were the best items we ordered. We also got the gourmet buffalo chicken pizza as well as a hamburger. The burger wasn't anything to ride home about. The pizza tasted better dipped in ranch. Delivery took about 45 mins and they don't deliver past 8PM; so keep that in mind. We live in the same community and they weren't terribly busy so they delivered to us anyway; which was appreciated. When asking my boyfriend what he thought of the overall meal, he said, "It's like that friend that isn't your first choice to hang out with. Used to be excellent. Maybe there is someone new in the kitchen. The people next to us had a margarita pizza. They left angry saying it was the worst pizza they've ever had. It did look horrible. The waitress even said she would never order it. The Mr Pibb brought to the table had no syrup. Our pizza was sub par for a place we've been going to for more than five years. To top it off they added an inflation charge to the bill. Seriously? A $1.00 charge hidden in the middle of the bill is shady. Why else put it in the middle if you aren't trying to hide it? Especially when you get 100s of customers a day. At least be honest and tell people up front. I would have been more understanding. Now I'll just spread the word about this whole fiasco and never come back just like the couple next to me. read more

I came here tonight for the first time in a couple months and I used to love this restaurant. I thought I would try something different so I got a Buffalo chicken pizza because I had recently had one at another place and really enjoyed it. I ordered the pizza for pickup and by the time I got home it was luckily still hot. Despite this, the crust was soggy and the pizza was flooded with cheese and oil . There was no Buffalo flavor at all so I don't know why they would even call it Buffalo chicken . The chicken itself on the pizza was actually pretty good and had a nice crisp to it. I would not recommend this pizza in particular but might look into trying something else as I have liked their food in the past. Might have just been an off night. read more

Ordered online and will never order again. $20.00 for a personal sized pizza with minimal toppings that did not taste fresh. Only one of the dollops of mozzarella was white, the others were a brownish color, almost as if they had been recooked. So it first started with the drinks, I ordered a Stella draft and when I got it there were lipstick stains on the glass, I informed the server and understood it happens sometimes, but as time went on the experience got worse. My friend and I ordered two 10inch pizzas and got two salads to start about halfway through eating it because I was starving I looked down and saw there were BUGS in the salad!!! So I told my friend and he passed his over to me and there were bugs in his also. So I went to the owner to tell him just so he knew and he said it was because we were sitting outside with an attitude...Sorry to say but there were So many bugs in separate salads that it was 100% in the lettuce. We decided to leave because his rude remark and the fact that god only knows what could be in the other food and told our sever and left. We walk over to escape brewery to get a drink to forget the fact that I just consumed bugs and she came back and said we had to pay for the beer we didn't drink....so I walk over to tell the owner that we aren't going to pay he started yelling saying "the bugs have nothing to do with the beer" and I said no...there was a stain on the glass the bathrooms are gross this place isn't sanitary I'm not paying and BUGS ARE A BIG DEAL. He said to me (a 24 year old female) "GET OUT AND DO NOT SHOW YOUR FACE IN TRINITY AGAIN." I'm super understanding I worked in the food industry before and shit happens but it's how you handle the situation which ultimately shows it's true condition so in my experience it would be unsanitary, and so rude on his part. I hope you see this before you eat there he had not a care in the world about the salad condition he showed the chef and he shrugged. I can only imagine what else is in the place. Had lunch with the hubby today. He had a pizza with sausage and inions and I had the baked Italian sub. Both were delicious! I love their pizza crust. Evenly brown, light, and the perfect combo of chewy and crispy. My sandwich was huge and could only eat half, but it was as good as the pizza. French fries were ok....tasted a little bit like old grease, but maybe just an off day as I haven't noticed it before. Service was awesome. Our server was the most cheerful sweet girl I've seen in a restaurant. One can't help but smile with her. I took off 1 star for the lack of background music. This restaurant has no noise abatement, and the chef had his own music playing in the back to which he was (quite badly) singing. Thank God he cooks better than he sings! . Couldn't hear his music, just him. Add to that the chef and server calling back and forth across the restaurant and it made for a difficult time to have conversation between the hubby and me. I don't think they realize how loud they are being. I don't want to be a wet blanket, cause they were having fun, but it got annoying after having to ask hubby to repeat himself cause he was drowned out by staff. Please add sound panels and music. We have loved this place in the past. Consistently good pizza. But tonight (5-14) was a huge disappointment. Ordered a large Brick pizza. Toppings were tossed on the pizza so some slices had too many toppings and other spots were without ant toppings. Crust was soggy. When you picked up a slice the toppings slid off. Consequently the taste was off. Waiter asked "How's the Pizza?". We told him not good. His response was "Yeah, the pizza cook is kind of new". I've got too ask---is anyone training this person. One of my favorite experiences out in Florida was getting some amazing food here! Everything was perfect and the place looks amazing!

No flavor on pizza or "garlic knots". Wings were baked and mushy. Not a fan at all, 10/10 don't recommend.

Was at my mother's for a couple nights and decided to get delivery after a couple glasses of wine at the house. Chose the chicken picatta and garlic knots. Food came fast and hot. Garlic knows were smaller than I'm used to but good and I've decided I like them best that way. Sauce that came with it was good. Dinner came with a choice of salad and I got caesar. Lettuce was fresh and dressing was good. The dinner had a lot of pasta and a nice sized chicken breast, not over cooked. I added mushrooms and had just the right amount if capers. Would've liked more picatta sauce but overall good meal and happy girl! read more

Stopped here with a friend for a quick bite before a meeting. What a great find. The pizza was soooo good. We got a plain cheese because, let's face it, a cheese pizza tells you everything you need to know about a pizza place. The crust wasn't "thin crust" but thinner than a typical NY pizza. Nice snap to it. The sauce was delicious. Sweet, but with just enough spice. We also had a caprese salad to start. The tomatoes were fresh and the mozzarella was nice and creamy. Only thing I wasn't crazy about is they mix their balsamic with oil. I hate the oil with my balsamic, but I am certain had I asked for regular balsamic, they would have brought some out. It was so fresh and good, it didn't require anything on it. They have a fairly large menu and I'm anxious to go back with my husband to try some of their entrees. They have a kids menu, large bar area, television playing sports. Service was super friendly and the place was very clean. Fairly busy on a Wednesday evening, so make sure to get in there before 6 pm. Overall, I'd give it 5 stars, which I did...because good pizza is very hard to find in Florida. read more

Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. Crust was thin (not that I mind) and tasteless. Not much to it. The chicken and hot sauce were decent but didn't pack that much flavor either. No blue cheese to be found (not sure if you had to order it on it or not though). Most buff chicken pizzas I've had have at least blue cheese on it and maybe celery too. The addition of those two would have absolutely kicked this pizza up a notch. Hits the spot when you're next door grabbing some beers though. read more

They go back and forth on whether they have delivery drivers on a given night, which we have learned to work around since their pizza is so good. Brick oven is definitely the best pizza I've had in the NPR/Trinity area. I don't like leaving the house to pick it up when they're not delivering because it IS expensive and inconvenient. Sometimes we try to get delivery, but not as often as we used to, and we will get takeout from here if we are ever already driving and decide we want pizza. Everyone is really nice and I've never had a bad experience with their food. We really love their pizza, and order from them a couple times a week a lot of weeks. Just a few days after my last delivery, we wanted pizza again, and I was told they would no longer deliver to my home. Pretty disappointed considering how much more expensive their pizza is than pizza from other places nearby. I was asked if I wanted to come pick it up, but at over $50 for two pizzas there is no way I'm going to go through that extra trouble. I was told by the woman on the phone that they might stop delivering altogether. It's worth going there if you don't mind picking up. The pizza is good, but it's definitely expensive. The atmosphere is not good for dining in imo unless you like a loud, hectic bar ambience. We aren't going to be customers anymore unless they bring back delivery to our home, though. read more

We have gone to Brick Oven since they opened their doors. the last time we all went the food was not up to its usual standard. we put it down to the holidays. since that time I went back and ordered take out Pizza, it was terrible, very little pepperoni, crust burnt. tonight I ordered a double cheese pizza. picked it up on time, the crust was burnt, the cheese was dried up. it was terrible.
