I paid $5,000 for a full restoration of my brick. The work was not a match and also cracked months after. I had to another company to come and fix all the work since Denver Brick Repair refused to come back out without additional payments even under the year warranty. new brick restoration company was able to match the mortar so it was very possible to do a much better job. Be cautious because Bruce is a knowledgeable mortar repair guy and probably can do a good job himself, but he was not present and had his workers do the job and it didn't turn out well. They put alot of time upfront to determine what the best solution was for our problem, which was a brick fireplace wall that was leaning out. The work was done sooner than scheduled. Stayed within the time frame they estimated. Work was done at a good price. We are very happy with the results. They got the wall back to its original position and fixed the foundation. WARNING: BRICK REPAIR DENVER MAY NO-SHOW FOR BID AFTER WEEKS. In short: Brick Repair Denver was at the top of my list for tuckpointing because of their reviews and ratings. I provided photos of the work and answered all questions asked. I scheduled a time for a bid walk which was confirmed. When they did not show up, I was told that it was odd my wife talked to them previously and asked what my zipcode was. There was no specific reason provided why they were suddenly uninterested in the job which leaves me only to wonder the motivation for not bidding on the job after 19 days of communication. At best, this company is not that concerned with customers, over busy, poorly organized, wastes people's time, and poorly communicates. At worst, this company may be elitist, misogynistic, dishonest, and is incapable of following through. The Entire timeline: -January 3 - Filled out online form on Brick Repair Denver website and left a message both asking for a bid -January 11 - Asked to send pictures of the project through text -January 14 - Sent photos of work needed as requested. I was told that I would receive an initial estimate from the photos. (Then I was told that no estimate could be given) -January 17 - My wife set up a time for a bid walk for January 22 at 10 am -January 18 - Missed call from Brick Repair Denver around 5pm. Brick Repair Denver sent an e-mail stating "if we could grab a phone call, ok. If not... Here is some of our questions". All questions asked were answered in email by me. -January 19 - I was emailed "...let's chat when I see you." -January 22 - I called 10 minutes after our scheduled meeting time. I was told that they were not coming to the bid walk, it was odd that a female answered my phone (despite my wife identifying herself as my wife), they did not have enough information (despite filling out a form, providing photos, and answering questions), several calls made to get ahold of me (there was only 1 missed call followed by an email that was replied to, see above). I was asked what my zip code was (they already had this information so, not sure what the pertinence of that was, but one can wonder, if in their opinion I lived in an area not worth working in). I was told that the company was no longer interested in giving me a bid for the project. -January 22 - I received an email after the phonecall ended that seemed to attempt to explain away issues caused by Brick Repair Denver. The email is below along with my comments/responses to the e-mail in parenthesis: "When I originally spoke with 'Adam" During our initial return phone call. Which was a female voice although they did confirm with "Yes this is him" which was a bit confusing right out of the gate (Not completely true, she later clarified what she was my wife). We did at that time loosely schedule Saturday at 10am (10am is a specific time), to be confirmed prior to that time (he said " I will call when I am on my way"). We never could catch that phone call to confirm that time (Incorrect, it was already stated "let's chat when I see you"). I did miss that you tried to confirm 10am in your email. I was waiting on confirmation for today (no confirmation was ever asked of me). This is the reason for our vetting process, so we do not waste one anothers time. A 2 min phone call is preferred to a wasted trip, wasting our time, or wasting your time (Then why set up an appointment? Also, as seen in the timeline, there is no more information asked for or that I could have given). Sorry for the mix-up/miscommunication (I do not believe there was any miscommunication, only mismanagement on their end). And I apologize for calling your phone so many times this past week (literally only 1 unanswered call followed by an email answering all questions), I was trying to avoid this very situation. I can't say enough good things about Bruce, Jesse, and Brick Repair Denver. First of all, they actually call you back! That seems like not a big deal, but I called 5 different brick repair specialists from yelp and google and Jesse was the first and one of the only to talk through my project with me. Jesse was professional, kind, and quick to come up with a game plan to help me out. Bruce came out to do the work and I was pleasantly​ surprised by not only his obvious knowledge and expertise​ but also how enjoyable it was to talk to​ him. You can tell he's been doing this work a long time, that he genuinely cares about both the work and the clients,​ he totally put me at ease. He was able to do the project almost immediately and we are SO satisfied with the results. He even fixed things that had nothing​ to do with the job he was working on! The project was on the outside of our house where we had installed a new door, and the brick now looks better than it did originally​. After not hearing back from two other, highly rated masonry businesses, I was beyond pleased to be dealing with Brick Repair Denver. My online request was answered promptly by Jesse. Bruce was in contact and out to provide an estimate within two days. The crew was out to do the work within 10 days. The work itself, now complete, continues to exceed my expectations. I live in a stone house that is almost 90 years old and it was sad and in need of attention. The crew ground out all the failing mortar thoroughly and considering what they were doing, with minimal mess. At the end of the first day, they left things unexpectedly tidy. The next day was the "show" work and the transformation is truly amazing. Again, when the crew was done, they left things neat and clean. Jesse, Bruce and the crew at Brick Repair Denver all exceeded my expectations. I had a fairly small section of very old exterior brick wall with crumbling mortar and loose bricks. The deterioration had gotten bad enough so that any good rain would send quite a bit of water running into and through the basement. This all presented itself just a few days before I was due to go out of town, and I wasn't comfortable with the idea of leaving my house open to further water damage with only a bucket for protection. After meeting with a couple other contractors, I got a call back from Jesse at Brick Repair Denver. At that point I was pretty sure I had already found someone who could get the work done before I left town, but I hadn't yet received the bid in writing (never did), wanted to get a third opinion and Jesse's professional approach over the phone sold me on having Brick Repair Denver take a look and provide a third estimate. Bruce arrived on time, was professional and very friendly. His dedication to the art and craft of masonry and his knowledge of Denver's old houses and their bones was clear. In addition to communicating well what needed to be done, Bruce went above and beyond and made arrangements to have the crew do the repairs just-in-time and without breaking my budget.
