Well that was a fun dinner! We'd had a lark, driving around steamboat and deciding between here and Blue Sage (GO ORGANIC!!) we opted for the interesting cocktails and WOOD FIRED pizzas instead of possibly better organic fare. Brixx in Petaluma is my home town hands down favorite wood fired or not (but it is). They're thinner bubblier, more creative than this Brick place. Frankly, the Brick pizza only gets a three but overall they pull off a quite nice adventure in steamboat. We had the fungi sans pepperoni and though we ask for extra fungi there were few unevenly chopped ones. Meh it was bubbly, crisp at first, (got doughy) cheesy (yay sci) and only okay. The COCKTAILS, oh heaven the lovely adult beverages, yes try a greyhound or if you're brave the Thai Tini thing first on the specials list! Yes! Very nice and creative. Nice views but why are you blocking w the high booth? And uh chairs only for small folks? Yikes on that. My hubby enjoyed our last dinner here so you got many breaks, it should be a 3, really. Excellent pizza and salad. We ordered a Diablo and Margherita Pizza as well as a cherry tomato mozzarella salad for carry out. The salad was fresh with generous toppings of mozzarella and fresh tomatoes. Pizzas were well prepared. The crust had a crispy exterior. Diablo had a little zing but not overly spiced. I ordered their Corna pizza for pick up, specifically for the sun dried tomatoes which I just love on pizzas. When I get there to pick it up, they simply tell me that they ran out of sun dried tomatoes and replace them with cherry tomatoes, but if didn't like it they would make me another pizza. Seriously? Like I was going to wait right there for another 15 minutes because you couldn't be bothered to call me back and tell me that before I get there? Get real. Complete customer service fail. My wife passed away last week. We needed a great place for the reception for local and far away friends that came in for the service. 6 days - plan an event for 125 plus on a huge tourist weekend. Brick crushed it. Great food and service. Meatballs were a hit- pizzas and salads were great. No complaints. The drinks service was also great. Probably the best in the area We decided to do takeout this time and ordered 6 pizzas to go I didn't realize until I had left the restaurant that they actually auto tipped themselves 20% for a takeout order. I already handed the girl a tip in cash so they basically got about a 25% tip for no service only take out The pizzas are already close to $20 a pizza If you're going to have pizza, I would advise just eating in the restaurant. At least you will be paying a tip for actual service not just handing you a box. I mentioned to a friend and she said she had the same experience. They don't even let you know that they are doing it. She told me she would never order from them again, and I feel the same way. If you want to charge more for the pizza. Just charge more. Don't expect a tip for handing a box over to a customer. Authentic pizza, but unfortunate dine-in experience. Came here with a group of friends, and we were basically all let down. First the menu said the tap beer was Stella but in reality it was bud light (or something like that, can't remember exactly) so no one ordered a beer. Everything took a really long time (authentic! Just like Italy!). My pizza took about 15 minutes longer than the next to last person, despite ordering the easiest pizza to make--marinara pizza with mushrooms. Most were finished eating by the time mine came. While we were waiting for appetizers, an unleashed dog belonging to a worker? or the owner? came outside, shit in the grass near our table, and no one ever cleaned it up for the remaining hour+ that we were at the restaurant. Not only is that gross odor while you're trying to eat disturbing, but what a terrible community member. Of my family of 4, nobody really enjoyed their pizza. Everything was bland. I'm sorry to say I won't be returning, I know it's a tough market for restaurants right now but for the amount of money we spent here I wish we'd gone elsewhere. Service is terrible...server didn't understand the difference in various pasta shape names...when we got one order of pasta and noodles were incorrect we told the manager who barely said a word, looked at us annoyingly and then walked away only to come back a few minutes later dropping the new bowl of pasta on the table without saying a word. Placed an order for 5 pizzas, salads and pasta for takeaway and arrived when we were told they would be ready - the bartender looked at us with a blank stare when we told him our name. The order hadn't even been put through or started. Once they FOUND the order we had a beer while waiting and it finally got started processing. So almost an hour after the order was originally supposed to be ready we got a bill that included the full price and we had to argue with the bartender and get the manager to accommodate us for the troubles (which he did). The bartender (Ty) appeared to take personally affront to the extra discount and practically threw our credit card and pen at us to sign the check. The fun continued when we got home and discovered that one of the pizza boxes was empty, the salad was naked, and the sausage we'd paid extra for on the pasta wasn't there. I can't speak more highly of this place. We were in last night. I called before walking over, very nice on the phone and told me they had room. My husband, toddler son and I walked down and were able to sit outside. So nice, especially around 7:30. The staff was great with my son and brought him his milk before we even really sat down. My husband has pretty simple tastes, so we has the bread appetizer, and two pizzas, one margarita, one margarita with Pepperoni. Both were perfectly made and delish. We had the left overs from breakfast this morning. So happy this place exists, is walking distance from our condo and is kid friendly without sacrificing taste! read more

The somewhat rude server charged another tables much larger bill to my card, in addition to charging my card for our meal. I alerted the server the problem. Not even apologizing for his error, he went to the back and said "he'd take care of it." I waited for the credit on my credit card to show up for several days before calling the restaurant about it. He never took care of it. Many calls to the restaurant were a waste of time. One manger told me to dispute it with my bank because he was too busy to check. Again no apology for the problem. I disputed it with my bank. They took charge off the credit card but they were too lazy to do what needed to be done in the first place. read more

I don't know if they felt discriminatory since our family is very diverse but they did not treat us with respect and we left very disappointed. They need better staff that is more respectful. I give it a 2 only because the Bolognese is excellent. 4 of us had pasta with clams and sausage which was not good. Hardly any clams most of which would not open and dish lacked flavor. Second time I got a pasta dish there which was bland. One in party had pizza. Pretty good but slightly burned crust. The service was horrendous. There was one server for the entire restaurant which I counted 8 large tables. It was impossible to get her attention for anything. We asked for salt and pepper and got small bowl of each with no serving utensils. Not good for Covid. They were very busy doing pizza orders for takeout which guessing is the way to go here. Entrees not worth the price. And to have such bad service no excuse. Owner was there. Made no effort to go around to any of the tables. Doubtful any of us would go back. We used to like it a lot. Now almost a month later no credit to my card and they don't call me back. I always had to call them but I am done with all this nonsense. We liked this restaurant and plan to return. The pizza was excellent and it really does come from a wood fired oven. My husband says it is his favorite gluten free pizza so far.
