I came into this shop at exactly 6:28pm and the store was full of employees. The gentleman asked in mandarin if anyone could assist me with a pedicure and some of the female employees laughed. The gentleman then informed me to come back tomorrow as they were closing and no one was available to assist me. Literally more than 30 minutes left before the store closed (online the store indicates it closes at 9pm) and they refused to offer me service. Nor did they bother to take my contact information and or schedule an appointment with me. I even offered to wait and yet again, they refused. Bedside manner is non-existent! I wondered why the store was rated so low but I failed to actually read the reviews. Now I understand why. read more

I've come to this place a few times now and have always had a great experience, however today as I was getting a pedicure the nail technician was answering texts and phone calls the entire time. She stopped my foot massage early so she could take a call, then disappeared for a few minutes. I don't find it sanitary to be massaging someones feet and then texting on your phone, the manager should have a no phones policy for when they are mid-manicure or pedicure. I also did not appreciate getting my foot massage time cut in half due to personal calls. Also I was never offered water or a drink like I have the last few times. As a returning and frequent customer I thought I would have been treated a little bit better. For the expensive prices on the menu the service really needs to improve.. This place is completely unprofessional I am surprised how it runs within the Brickell City Centre. I called the day before to make an appointment with Jimmy at 10am for the next day. The receptionist says one second I will ask him if that's ok. A minute later she says "yes, confirmed Jimmy 10am tomorrow morning." I booked 10 am knowing I had a doctor's appointment at 12. That should be enough time for just a manicure. Great so 10am I get there and the doors are locked and absolutely no one is inside. I got worried and checked their yelp and it says they are opened, and the hours stated that they in fact did open at 10am. I decided to wait so around 10:17 a woman comes that barely speaks English and I explain what happened, no apology, all she says is Jimmy will be here soon in 20 minutes so I said I'd come back in 20. So 20 minutes later I come in, he's still not there. So one woman begins doing my nails. Then jimmy comes, and he starts to do my nails. I explain how upset I am that no one even called me to let me know to come later. In the middle of me talking he starts talking to SOMEONE ELSE that works there and laughing. It was so unprofessional to start a new conversation talking over me especially with what I was talking about- his unprofessionalism. He could not care less what I had to say. He then says "yeah next time you should know I only get here at like 10:30. Brickell City Centre is like dead around 10 am" that is not relevant to what we are talking about. Second, how should I know that he only comes around 10:30? I tell him I was not aware and that the receiptiojist should not have confirmed my appointment then. What's worse is that he was aware of the appointment because she went to ask him when I called. I then tell him I want French nails, and he goes "oh I don't do French" how can a nail tech with the ability to do such a complicated and skilled process such as dip powder not be able to do French nails? So now I am moved to my THIRD technician of the morning. So I ask the new tech, it is already 11, "I'm sorry but can you do this in 40 minutes I have an appointment and I have been here since 10. If that's too short of a time I can come back another day no problem I just don't want to be late." So this tech says no no that's fine. He begins doing my nails for a veryyy long time so I check my phone to see the time and he goes "are you going to work or what". First, it's none of his business where I am going but he should not make me feel bad for being rushed when I specifically said I have no problem coming back another day. In the end, my nails came out terribly. The French is far too thick and I will never come back. I spent $65 for a very poorly done manicure. I did not receive an apology from anyone, not my first, second, or third tech especially not from Jimmy. I wish someone could give me an explanation/a manager with an apology. I call to make an appointment, the girl who answered the phone didn't even asked what I needed, started yelling across the salon to some Erika to pick up the phone "cause she can't she just cant's" Could've just put me on hold thank you. Another lady answers she takes my appointment. I walk in 15 mins later and the receptionist can't find my appointment, no problem she says I'll get helped. Mind you it's 99 degrees in there. I came here when my favorite techs (Hollywood and Alexandria) left Venetian Nails in Kendall. It's a little pricier but worth the trip and cost. The employees are very kind and welcoming and the atmosphere is upscale and peaceful. I love that there's almost never a wait which is a huge plus in my book. Visiting Miami from NY, i was in need of a quick mani and found this salon on yelp. The girl who did my nails was very sweet, courteous and did an excellent job. The front desk/receptionist on the other hand was obnoxious. They were clearly under staffed and a line was forming - while i was getting my nails done she came over and hovered over the poor nail tech at least five times- "are you almost done?" "Will you be done soon?" "How much longer" - not really a pleasant experience. Then as my nails are still being painted she says- "I'm closing out the drawer can you pay now? I can just take your wallet out of your bag for you." Um no, you can't. I probably had another 5 minutes left in my gel mani but she clearly couldn't be bothered to wait. This place is hit or miss you definitely have to have a specific person you go to. Diana is amazing her work is 5 STARS. She's takes her time, is super sweet, my dip nails last me 3-4 weeks with her. Her pedis are great too. The younger guy who sits at the last chair is also incredible. But other than these 2 people, the service and the manners here are non existent. Anyone else does my dip and they're super misshaped. They're extremely rude, to everyone, I've experienced it 3 times twice from the older guy and once from the owner. but every time I'm in there they're just disrespectful to people walking in for both walk ins and booked appointments. They will tell you to come back if you book an appointment and it's busy during your appointment time. If it's busy they'll not even acknowledge your existence when you walk in. It always feels awkward sitting there getting your nails done while customers are sitting there being ignored, phone is ringing off the hook, employees are arguing about who should answer the phone, multiple people inquiring about their appointments that started an hour ago but they haven't even been seated, and then employees are snappy with them for simply asking for their appointment time to be honored. I guess it's a good thing it's busy but it's also just a super prime location so foot traffic is a given. Find your person, and book with them every time. Maybe go in the middle of a Tuesday so you appointments are honored. I have actually comed before to this nail bar and has been amazing and very well priced. I live here in the building so it has always been very easy access for me. However, today I had a terrible experience it was completely disorganized. When it was time to pay my manicurist was very nice however her colleague Claudia was very rude and is not aware of certain privileges the local workers and residence obtains. Such as the 10%. Her low manners and way of handling things is really the big part it disappointed, specially since she turned her head away and would not even speak to me. My manicurist even apologized for her colleagues behavior. I personally believe, knowing you have regulars you want to keep them satisfied specially when they are bringing more people. I was so disappointed with today's experience that I even decided to do my first yelp review. The salon has all its potential to do great; however, there needs to be better training for the staff and a manager that can help with the logistics. This issues should not be occurring as they can be critical. I won't be coming back for a while and hope this review can help achieving better service to the costumer. read more

Sometimes they do my gel manicure while I'm getting a pedicure at the high chair. They have a cool spa pedicure that includes a citrus foot soak and candle wax massage. Although my nails looked fantastic, turns out that the liquid used for the acrylic nails was methyl methacrylate (mma) which is a really bad product that can damage your nails. Yay!! My honey decided to treat me to a manicure and a pedicure. We looked on yelp to see what our options were near by. A few nail salons popped up, but this one seemed the cleanest and neatest from photos. Indeed, it was clean. When we walled in the folks gave us a warm genuine welcome. Dani did my manicure and pedicure, and she was simply wonderful! I have to say, hands down that was one of the best mani/pedi I have ever had! What made Dani's mani/pedi uniquely special is that she was precise, yet delicate and efficient. She didn't act like she was in a hurry like most ladies that have done my nails do. She paid close attention to detail. She is AWESOME. My honey was also very satisfied with the gal who did his. Unfortunately he didn't quite catch her name. I stopped by the nail salon today, it appears it was a busy time and I didn't have an appointment but I was assisted within ten minutes by Minnie who I believe is the owner or manager. Let me start by saying that Minnie did an excellent job on my nails, probably the best job I've received ever! I have to say the only reason why I rated 4 out of 5 stars is because the salon was short staffed and a lot of walk ins or appointments were not attended to property. I know Minnie was trying her best and she was trying to assist all the customers and obviously it was not her fault that two of her employees were late so I truly feel like Minnie did the best she could. Seeing Minnie's concern and at the same time watching her trying to multi-task and assist everyone and manage everything felt as if I was witnessing a hardworking woman trying to balance everything just like we have to do in many situations. I went with a few girls a few weeks ago to prepare for my baby shower. I was annoyed because I kept asking the staff to get wine for my friends (not for me of course). One tech got wine for one girl and said ask the other tech for the other girls. I'm like thinking, why don't you ask her--you work here! I've been here twice. Both times it was a disorganized annoyance. Inexperienced technicians, and not nearly enough staff compared to the weekend demand, despite the fact that they have a ton of chairs. The woman who did my pedicure cut my toe cuticle way too short and left me with a small and annoyingly painful cut. Service is slow and staff is unenthusiastic.
