I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Brickhaus yet. Where to start...if you want a comfy coffee shop to pass the time, get your own. This one is mine. Okay. I'll share. Fun themed drinks and the pastries are pretty good. The staff are fabulous and make an effort to remember you in some fashion. I didn't go for 6 weeks, walked in, and they remembered my drink and the time after my name as well. Their actions to help the community are also commendable. I have always felt welcome here and if they were closer to my apartment, I'd be there every day instead of just most weekends. read more

My daughter and I were excited to find this gem! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff is warm and friendly. There was ample seating to suit every mood (table and chairs, comfy chairs, and comfy sofas with plenty of outlets and side tables). There's a fun and fresh local artist goods shop tucked in the front corner. It's a perfect place to find a gift for yourself or others. The menu is a nerdy dream come true. When we visited a couple of weeks ago in May, the themed drinks were Lord of the Rings and Mario. I had the Gondor, which, if I recall, may have had hazelnut and cinnamon. I DO recall that it was delish. I forgot what drink my daughter ordered, but she enjoyed it as well. I look forward to coming back and trying their London Fog, which is one of my favorite drinks and seems to have significant praise from other reviewers. We didn't get an opportunity to try the food, but look forward to in the future. One refreshing surprise is that this is a no-tip establishment. I don't recall what I paid for the drinks, but I appreciate places that charge what they need to make their business work and to (hopefully) pay their employees a living wage. First time here and I'll be back! Had to drop my car off to get some work done nearby and was looking for coffee on the way home close to MAX. Great coffee and London Fog. I was thrilled to find a vegan breakfast sandwich, too. I love seeing the regulars come and go. That means something these days. Great vibe and community support messaging. We stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon. They have gifts, dog treats, cookies and pastries and coffee. They have a Summer menu with cool coffee drink names. We got the "John Wick" coffee with salted caramel, vanilla and honey latte. It comes either hot or cold. The other one is "Emily in Paris", a peach tea iced elixir. It was really tasty on a 85 degrees afternoon. They unfortunately don't have a restroom there. Lots of seating and comfortable chairs to do work or study. They even have an outlet for you to plug in to do your work while you are there. The pastries and cookies look really delicious. Quick stop to get a coffee and pastry to go is the place for this. And to even buy a cute gift for a "Just Because I was thinking about you" is always much appreciated. read more

The service was amazing, and on top I love the fact that they don't ask for tips and it says it on the tap to pay screen, "No Tips Please". I would definitely come back to this place, the atmosphere is great the location is perfect. They're very friendly, and when I say friendly I include dogs as well, and they do pup cups with biscuits. They have an assortment of unique coffee flavors as well which I have not yet tried. Brickhaus coffee is actually one of my favorite spots! The drinks they make are meant to have some charm to them. I think if you're looking for cheaply priced bland coffee go somewhere else! Alongside the good food & drink options there is super fun local artist selections to browse of incredible handmade products. One of my favorite things is the crocodile sitting where you get your drink (iykyk). I have yet to sit in the big cozy lounge area..I usually opt for outside but so many seat options. If you're working i recommend the front seating of brickhaus but if you're with friends the lounge area has tons of games too. Bathroom, and self serve water. So first starters! They is this 1 - $ A cup of coffee will be around $7 so that isn't very cheap. In my opinion. The coffee and tea were yummy tho!!! I don't think it's a bad place! Great hole in the wall coffee shop with great, polite staff. Drinks are well made and the theming is fun.

The good: They serve a decent cup of coffee although it's Americano and not drip the way I prefer it. They serve it in a large ceramic mug and not a paper cup which is greatly appreciated. They are right at the Beaverton Round which is very handy. The inside is very comfy although not a lot of seating. There is seating outside which is very pleasant on a nice, warm, dry day. There's a goodly amount of free (3-hour) parking right in front which is much appreciated. The not-so-good. $5 for a cuppa joe?!?!? At that price it needs to be an outstanding cup of coffee. Theirs was "ok" but not $5 amazing. It's a line from Pulp Fiction.... They don't take cash! But on the plus side, they don't do the annoying 30% tip groveling when you checkout. They don't ask for a gratuity at all. To be fair, the rent on that shop is probably in the stratosphere. And there were only 1/2 dozen or so customers over the hour that I was there meeting with a friend. So I'm guessing they are just barely in the black if that. I likely won't be back as I have several coffee places closer to home that I like a lot. But this place was certainly fine and I did like the wait staff who I found to be very cordial. The employees seemed to be happy they were there which is something you don't see at places like Starbucks. So even though they are never going to be my favorite hangout, they still earned five stars. read more

The coffee shop is pretty cute, staff is so friendly -- but I came here on my birthday to have a quick bite and some coffee with my husband instead of going to a sit down restaurant, and we were shocked when our total for just food and coffee came out to nearly $50.... about as much as dining out. We were taken aback but assumed it must be really good if it's that much. We were unfortunately wrong about that. Both the food and coffee tasted like something we could've made at home, it was incredibly average. Forget about ice americano.... I found this cute place when I was in the neighborhood between two appointments. Lovely, comfy, and nice staff. Too bad they don't know how to make a decent ice coffee. $4.75 for a small cut of bitter, watery liquid...I asked if they could fix it and make it taste better...Another $1.50 for two extra shots....and it still didn't taste good. This cozy little coffee shop is tucked away off the Beaverton Central MAX stop for both the blue and red lines. The cafe has glass garage door style walls for the front portion of the cafe, which lets in a lot of light. The staff has so many dairy and gluten free options, and they are so knowledgeable about their offerings, it was easy to get questions answered. The boxtroll sandwich was AMAZING, but the spicy sauce was a bit much for me, so I handed it off to my spice loving partner. The coffee (americano) and tea (chamomile) came in super cute mugs. We were looking for a coffee shop nearby and were enticed by the Harry Potter-themed drinks on the menu. - PARKING - There's a small dedicated lot for the businesses in this area, and we had no problem finding a spot - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The shop itself is quite small, but very cozy feeling! There's some knick knacks in the front of the store, maybe from local vendors? The staff member taking our order was very sweet, and got all our orders down correctly. There's a few small tables and couches scattered around - we ended up occupying the back corner near the fireplace where 4 couches were placed. It didn't take long for our order to come out. - DRINKS - My sisters and mom got some food to eat, and they all seemed to enjoy their quick bites! We all got different drinks, but I think mine was the most flavorful. Not sure if it's the fact mine was the only Iced Coffee, but the Hazelnut and Toffee Nut flavor really stood out (Nutcracker drink - seasonal). Very spacious and adorable coffee shop by the MAX. I loved how they set up their seatings, making it a great spot to hangout and work. They have a bunch of boardgames you can play with too. It seems like this place changed hands ( maybe names) since my last visit years ago. It is decorated in Star Wars memorabilia with lots of baby Yodas. My minion said the barista was odd. Today was a quick duck in and out for iced espresso drinks and an Italian soda to drink with our waffles from a block away at the food truck pod. The drinks were well executed, mine was soy and decaf as requested, my teen's raspberry creme concoction was deemed " decent." They came in paper cups, they had no straws, and the ice was the right amount. The mochas were also not too chocolatey , which is the way I like them. They provided a nice cardboard drink carrier. Really cute coffee shop! Not only do they have coffee and pastries, but they have a few cute gift type of items including some funko pops. I came by early on a weekday and there were only two other people in the shop. I tried a small nonfat mocha and it was solid! Staff were friendly. My drink was ready quickly. I went there with my husband on Wednesday morning. This is our first time there and definitely will come back again. They have sofas and tables setup. Phenomenal little coffee shop where nerds and coffee connoisseurs alike will feel right at home. The shop is wonderfully adorned with Legos and Harry Potter decorations, and the mugs too are Star Wars themed, amongst other fandoms. I had the slytherin latte and the breakfast bagel, both of which were great. My mom had the gryffindor latte and breakfast bagel and she loved them as well. Somebody asked me once what makes me happy. I can't remember, at least not any further back than Sunday, 4 December 2022, at 11:35AM. That's when I got off the train in Beaverton, Oregon, and dodged big, fluffy snowflakes to the warm and comforting Brickhaus Coffee. I was greeted by the staff, and (finally, somewhere!) not with the usual vapid, vacuous "Welcome in" droning of a disinterested Zzzzer. This was a genuine welcome, and I appreciated it. "First impressions" and all that. A compact, concise menu. Some noshy options (for me a blueberry cream cheese Danish). I parked myself near a window and enjoyed the season's greetings from the store and other patrons alike. Really nice, right here, right now. I collected my White Chocolate Pistachio Mocha and Blueberry Thing, began their consumption, and began writing here. So: What's most important to me? Clean, clean, clean. This is. Very. As people left, one of the staff promptly disinfected the tables and chairs, cleared whatever needed to be cleared, and washed her hands before greeting the next person at the counter. Again: if it's not clean, I'm not staying. Quality of food. EXCELLENT. Coffee could've been hotter, but the flavor was good. Also: served in a locally-crafted mug, which I'm tempted to buy and take with me back to Montana. Quality of service. Above excellent. These are the people I'd want to hire if I owned this business. Knowledgeable, personable, professional. Not overly gratuitous. Just right. If you're on the train, on foot, in a vehicle and above all in Beaverton, come to Brickhaus. Cute and cozy is the name of the game here. There's a light Harry Potter theme going on, so if you're a fan it's cool to stop by and check it out. They have your standard coffee and espresso drinks and then some tea based offerings. I opt for those, like the matcha latte. My partner enjoys the CBD infused tea drinks, which is very calming and grounding. It's also next to a plant shop with kombucha, which your welcome to go and get some and bring back to the cozy cozy seating area. The staff here are super nice and welcoming. Ordered the chai tea latte and it was incredible. However, I don't trust a coffee shop that doesn't have regular drip all day. That's weird to me. Weird they didn't offer a pour over either. This is -- no exaggeration -- my favorite coffee shop ever. It is so cozy, everyone is so nice, and their seasonal/special drinks are absolutely delicious. I literally go here on every day I have off because it just makes me feel so peaceful. Plus, dogs are welcome so that definitely takes it to the next level. You'll often find people knitting, reading a book, working on an assignment, or chatting with friends. It's just a special place.
