Stopped by after my visit to the dentist. Got my usual oatmilk lavender chai. It was delicious at this location as well. The place is super cozy and inviting. Service was quick and great.

Thick mugs kept our drinks hot for a long time.

What a gym of a coffee shop. Cozy and friendly. Strong, rich, coffee and espresso drinks. And what seems to be an impromptu serenade. What Mark did you ask for? oh, and they have breakfast sandwiches and pastries, too!

The cutest little local coffee shop. Eclectic furniture and decorations, plenty of seating with outlets, and super friendly staff. Yummy looking baked goods and little artsy gift shop items by local artists. My husband adored this coffee shop and we loved trying the coffee and getting some work done while we were in the area.

They roast their own beans and sell quite a nice variety

Hands down the best local coffee option in Hillsboro. Great for studying, catching up with a friend or stopping in to have a cozy moment on a busy work day. Staff always seem happy and polite. They seem to enjoy where they work! The menu is versatile and provides enough variety. There are always multiple drip options available at the main counter. Pastries are outstanding and very well portioned. Definitely enough to split with a friend! Overall, the ambiance resembles a blend of feeling like you're in your great aunts kitchen with a twist of vintage flair. Its uniqueness manages to instill an appealing and comforting atmosphere that keeps me coming back a lot. Make sure you check it out soon!

Insomnia is an absolute Hillsboro staple, it has the perfect cozy coffee shop vibes and encourages interaction with the community through their posting boards and artist/maker markets that happen during the holidays. This is a great place to stop in for a fresh pastry and a warm soothing drink during these colder Oregon months. During some holidays they even offer take and bake pastries to impress all your family members! Baristas are friendly and helpful when deciding on what to get from all their amazing specials.

I've been a loyal Insomnia customer since moving to Hillsboro almost 7 years ago. It's got easy breezy neighborhood coffee shop vibes with good quality coffee and delicious muffins. Service is consistent and vibes are good, for quick cups of coffee, for meeting friends, for doing work or for studying. No complaints. :)

I love the coffee that Insomnia serves. I purchased coffee and a blackberry scone this morning. The scone is "stale" . It tastes more than a couple days old. Lesson learned. I'll be back for coffee though.

Service is good. Coffee not bad. I got a croissant egg sandwich, can out almost burnt and flaming hot. I would recommend skipping that.

The tea service is beautifully presented, with lovely tiered trays of savory bites, sweets, and pastries that make the whole afternoon feel like a real occasion. What stood out most was how relaxing and elegant the experience felt without ever seeming stiff or overly formal. The teas were excellent, and the whole service invited you to slow down and enjoy yourself. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger, talk a little longer, and order one more pot of tea. There's a charm to Skywater that is hard to fake. It feels welcoming, peaceful, and carefully done in all the right ways. For a special outing, a celebration, or just a beautiful afternoon treat, their high tea is a delight. Five stars.

There's nice ambience, a large tea selection, wonderful tea sandwiches that were traditional flavors but impeccably done with soft milk bread and the best mayos (dukes, Kewpie). The scones were nice, esp the summer menu peach ones, the clotted cream is good and they make it there. The Oreo cheesecakes were so unusually delicious, I was so surprised and delighted by how good they were and wish I had gotten the recipe. My favorite treat tho was the nectarine panna cotta we were served while we waited for our tea. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to really care about the details of afternoon tea.

The welcome was very friendly when we arrived at the counter, and they kept the queue moving at a steady pace, so we hardly had any wait. You order at the counter, get a number, find a table, and they deliver your order to you. There are a decent number of tables inside (don't panic, check the back room for seats, too!), as well as several outside on the wraparound porch. The whole converted country house is adorable, inside and out! South Store Cafe radiates a rustic-chic, inviting atmosphere. They have a fairly comprehensive breakfast-and-lunch menu, but they also have two enclosed pastry cases chock-full of sweet and savory goodies sure to please any palate. I thought I knew what I wanted until I saw that case! In the end, I got the sausage and mushroom strata with a homemade cardamom syrup latte, all of which was delicious! It's a fabulous gem tucked in the country, and I can't wait to return.

Problem is the boards are behind the order counter so you can't see them until you go to order. The order takers are friendly and patient. You get an order number and find a place to sit- either inside (very "cozy") or outside. We chose outside as there was less people. I had the chicken salad and he had the ham and Swiss. Both had too much greens for our taste. We split a Bloody Mary that was very good but came with a dried out artichoke heart. Would probably come back if in the area again but would also split the sandwich as we both ended up taking 1/2 of ours home.

While running errands on the morning of the Fourth of July, my cousin, my niece, and I popped in for a much needed caffeine boost. The atmosphere was calm, cozy, and inviting.
