Stopped by this cute little coffee shop and loved it! The space has a great vibe with art pieces throughout that look like they're from local artists, which made it feel really unique. I got the honey bee latte and wake 'n' bake avocado toast, both were delicious. My boyfriend had the Mendo Morning smoothie and Big Pig breakfast sandwich and loved them too. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SHOP IF YOUR WAITING ON THE TRAIN....... -Rude staff (lip piercing girl) -Only 1 person making drinks in the coffee shop - they do not care that they've had you wait over 20 min for 2 hot chocolates and that your going to miss your skunk train ride. Seriously it was about a 20-25min wait. And the worst part of it all was after I got the drinks they weren't even hot, mildly warm at best.... Just a disappointment all around. - the lip piercing girl is mouthy, disrespectful, and unprofessional Seeing as how this shop is right down the street from the only tourist attraction in willits you'd think they would want to help their customers not miss their train. I have also shared my experience with the skunk train company and asked them to never recommend this shop to their customers again. This negative experience completely ruined my skunk train experience, so upsetting, I should have just walked out and abandoned the money I spent on these drinks rather than ruin a $160 trainride experience. Also it was $22 for 2 hot chocolates and 2 muffins.... Crazy. Save yourself money and stress and go down the street to burger king or anywhere else really if you want a coffee. read more

We stopped here on our way home from a music festival! It's in a quaint town and the restaurant is too! Service was quick and easy! I ordered the breakfast popper! It had a lovely cream cheese jalapeno filling and the eggs were cooked perfectly. There are gluten free options available too! Giving this 4 stars as it was $40 for two sandwiches and a coffee. I love Brickhouse coffee, they have created a great vibe, with delicious sandwiches and pastries, the coffee is wonderful! I travel 5 hours every weekend to visit Willits and Brickhouse is a favorite indulgence! The Honeybee latte is my favorite, but I'm definitely considering trying their new Applechaider; organic apple cider meets blue lotus chai... sign me up! We checked this place out because we will be moving up to cherry creek soon. It was delicious! Perfect small town ambiance. The place was busy but service was still prompt and kind. I had the honey lavender iced latte and the Super Popper sandwich and it was better than I expected. Perfect balance of hearty ingredients like bacon and crisp refreshing veggies. My family also tried other coffees, pastries, and sandwiches. Everything was delicious. We all left full and happy. The locals were also super sweet and friendly. Sometimes I get nervous bringing my two babies into places but I was cheerfully welcomed here and was not made to feel awkward or embarrassed for my children being children. We found this spot on our way to the redwood national park to pick up some caffeine and refreshments! Super cute interior with Victorian style tiling on the ceilings contrasted with brick walls. A charming, quaint coffee shop in the middle of Willits strip truly made our trip. Rescuing us with delicious avocado toast and the big breakfast along side a creamy matcha and london fog to battle the morning cold. Definitely recommend a stop even if you're passing through. read more

My family and I drove thru Willits during our annual camping trip to Klamath. Brickhouse Coffee is just off the Highway 101 freeway. Decided to have a short rest stop and breakfast. Coffee was excellent ! Hubby had a regular brew while I had a latte. My son ordered a Bullet Proof which consisted coffee with cow butter and coconut oil ! The classic special of the house is their Breakfast Popper which includes an egg, smoked bacon, cream cheese, pepper jack, and their homemade jalapeno apple relish on a brioche bun.. My son had the Super Popper which had additional avocado, red onion, tomato, cucumber and toasted sunflower seeds. Both were yummy and tasty. Hubby and grandkids had ham and cheese croissants. Top it off at the end we had their chocolate chip cookies which were baked nice and thin. Super . If you are traveling and driving thru Highway 101, make a pit stop at this nice coffeehouse along the way. read more

We woke up really early for the long drive home and needed coffee badly. Actually, set our GPS to the starbucks located in the Safeway but saw this on the way there. We love independent coffee shops so we stopped here instead. Located on the corner with plenty of street parking. You enter one way and exit the other. Very spacious place with covid precautions taken - everyone was wearing a mask and there was a plexiglass with a credit card machine. Didn't notice any hand sanitizer though. We ordered an ice mocha with almond milk. Ran out of almond milk and got hemp milk. First time trying the hemp milk- A+. The ice mocha was also an A+. They have an unisex bathroom. We didn't order any food but the scruffins looked amazing. read more

I was traveling and thought I'd stop here to get a little bit of work done. I ordered an almond flavored latte and the veggie "scuffin" and I was genuinely blown away by the quality of both! The food seemed to be basically a pie with a scone base. Whatever it was, it was really tasty! The flavors were very well balanced, and it wasn't too rich. The only thing I would say is that it's a little oily, so eat with a fork if you can. On to the coffee: it was easily one of the best ten lattes I've ever had (and that's saying something as a former barista). The espresso was barely bitter -- it just had that little bit that you want. The milk was steamed perfectly and left a good amount of really beautiful wet foam. I was honestly shocked to find something so great from a little hole-in-the-wall in the middle of nowhere. The staff was also excellent; you can tell that it's a functional team of baristas who enjoy working with each other. The owner was also walking around and working in the back. I talked to him for a few minutes and he seems like a nice enough guy who's really proud of what he's done and the quality of his stuff. Overall, I would give this place a 10/10, and would recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

Stopped in on our way to the coast with my wife. Ordered a lunch popper sandwich and added ham... wife ordered the build your own sandwich. My sandwich was missing the ham I paid an extra 2.50 for. Also she was missing items on hers as well which we found out in ft bragg. If you stop here expect to be up charged and definitely check your food before leaving. Unfortunate. Well, it has been awhile since writing a review. This is my 500th, so it had to be a very special review for a very special place. I've been waiting. I just ate lunch here. It was sublime. I was inspired! I had to write this review... Beautiful place, with beautiful art on the walls. The place used to be an old bank (like, 1800's old) and they have preserved so much of the original structure and details - it is lovely and airy inside with wood floors and beautiful tin ceiling. They are impeccable about cleanliness and safety with beautiful plexiglass panels, everyone masked and just taking excellent care during the covid madness. Their food is really wonderful. They serve breakfast, coffee, snacks and lunch. I have a lot of favorites. A lot. Like everything. They serve bagels with lox, with just the right sprinkling of capers and dill and red onion. They have home made hummus, for a hummus plate, or a hummus wrap. They have the infamous POPPER breakfast sandwich which is an egg any style, with bacon, and this lovely jalapeno and apple salsa, cheese and cream cheese. It is a sandwich to dream about - on soft warm fresh brioche, of course. They have wrap sandwiches and hot sandwiches. The veggie wrap is one of my favorites, with avocado and toasted sunflower seeds and melty cheese... ummm. Beautiful salads, too - I just ate a breakfast salad for lunch. SO GOOD! Mixed greens with chopped veggies, sunflower seeds and an egg on top. I got a runny egg and extra avocado with their homemade basil dressing. Sublime. I was going to take a picture, but I was hungry and ate it as fast as I could. Oops. They have a tuna melt sub. Then there are the baked goods. So many to choose from - fresh cookies and rugalah! GOOD Rugulah! Can you believe it? In Mendocino County?! They also have this gluten free pastry that has cheese and bacon and jalapeno spread. SO good. The folks here are all really nice and the owners are just the best. This is one of the few places open reasonably early in Willits, too, so I appreciate that. OH - and refreshing drinks! Ginger lemonade, hibiscus Ice tea, Hibiscus and rose tea. Smoothies, too! Coffee is excellent. Come to Willits and enjoy the Brickhouse. I know people who regularly drive from nearby towns to come here to eat. You should, too. read more

We stayed in Willits this weekend and got up early to get a gluten free scone at the Brickhouse Coffee shop. We were told the gluten free pastries sell out fast, so we were there at 8:00. Oh wow - I had the strawberry GF scone and it was the best scone I have ever had. In my entire life. And that's counting all of the scones that were made of wheat. And I have had a lot of scones, here and in the UK. It was so good that I would make a special trip from Sacramento just to get another one! The people are nice, and the shop is cute - I think it was a bank in the 1800s, all brick and tin ceilings - so cute and cozy! Go there and get a GF scone!! read more
